sean vogt my city’s Q’s can. IDK if they dictate the usage of the Q in my city.
You should see argentinian Fire trucks, some of fire trucks can reach a lot of high pitch XD
its the echo against other vehicles driving by, aswell as buildings. Its the Doppler effect.
Bruh that’s a 28 not a q
@@Thunderbolt_7026 nah broski, that’s a Q2B. The older models sound similar to the 28’s
I dont know about the rest of you guys but i get the chivers when a fire truck goes by, when two go by right after eachother; i go numb.
Im back 1 year later and found my own comment.
These are the men of the Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department located at 721 Central Ave
Barboursville, West Virginia.
Took me a min to realize I knew exactly where they where lol it’s crazy how just scrolling through TH-cam watching fire videos and you find one close to home
I don't see the issue with the excessive air horn use. going through the residential neighborhood at the end was a bit excessive and typically my company runs with no sirens or horns in places like that. HOWEVER, as we saw at the beginning of the video, drivers tend to associate 2 sirens with one vehicle. in this instance, where two trucks are driving in tandem, drivers may associate the two siren tones to one rig. i've seen it a lot where we'll be driving in tandem like that, and a car will pull out right in front of us. it's usually older folks but still. the use of the air horn isn't hurting anything, cmon now.
dude, at the end he was in an open field and blew the horn with no one around
Moon Scar You never know when a careless squirrel or similar mammal will dart across the road. #livesmatter! Best to be overcautious and blow that horn eh?
Low call volume dept or volunteer's overly excited...Excessive Air horn = come outside and look at me !
you dont nide to be rude to the firedps in the world the nedd to be fast on the fire sene
god comit
He sure loves that horn.
But they are heroes they are risking their life to keep us safe thank you so much I am trying to be a state trooper for my area and trying to be a firefighter also
6:02 👏👏👏👏 LOL he was so fed up with people not stopping he nearly ripped the airhorn cord off of the ceiling..!
Haha the man pulling the horn is something I’d do whatever it takes for them to get faster and keep other drivers safe is 🙌🏼
I liked the horn of the fire truck
It is very very loud fire truck. From Richard Boucher.
Jordan Kim More than likely Grover Air Horns
Sounds like a elephant
ericthesoldier they’re beefy beefy airhorns! My departments new engines horns I haven’t heard cause I haven’t ran any calls on it. More or less ran Mutual aid because those calls happened when I was available.
@@centralnewyorkresponses7887 what type are they
Excellent driving! He expedited without driving like he was in Indy, very cautious at intersections, showed concern for life BEFORE they arrived on the scene. I worry about these videos where they're driving like they're on their way to put out Hell, then I see fire truck crashes and wonder why. You can't help anyone if you don't get there!
More horn!
If he runs out of horn, he can always use more cow bell.

I'm a Jr. FF it is an awesome experience, you get to do a lot of work and you help a lot!
We shall create a gofindme to buy him a huge compressor!
Was thinking, boy does that all look familiar. Then when you all passed the Pink Elephant, then saw the Rt 60 West sign. Visit my son down there 3-4 times a year. Good job getting there.
Wow the amount of people that fail to pull over is amazing
I mean, if the lane is open and he has room to pass without having to go around anyone and isn't being obstructed; I don't really see the issue.
@@blazzing_fury2425 because you never know which way he will go and not to mention it's the law.
I just recently applied for firefighter training and I seriously hope I get in. This is my passion!
Did you get in?
How's it going. You get in?
you got in or something ?
very awesome response, great siren and airhorn work to get to a house fire safely. up in rhode island we do have Q sirens, when i was an acting officer for a volunteer dept i'd always start the electronic siren, then blast the Q if theres alot of traffic but great response guys
Thanks My first firetruck ride at age 37.
That town knows when to pull over on the side of the road not every town or city does
I don’t know why...but that brings me happy tears to see the fire chief having a good old blast on that horn
My God, I can’t believe how far how far they’re going.
Yeah, 7 minutes to a structure as first due? Then they get on scene, and not a bit of smoke showing?
Good job clearing, those intersections. Nice stuff 🙌🏻🔥💯
Have to say I love the horn usage! Nice job! 😊
More Air Horn! As a former first responder it was great to see the view from the cab and see how people that were not smart ie: Ford truck guy!
This is how many time the passenger beside the driver pulled the rope letting the tank release air to the compressor making air come out of the air horn
👇
The q and air horn is the best thing about driving
the windscreen wipers going at different speeds would drive me insane
yah
Just ruined the vid for me
Never understood windscreen. Screen is on windows and doors to allow summer breezes to flow through. They are windshield wipers, because it shields you from the wind.
Where im from we turn off siren when theres no traffic ahead. As a driver, im the one operating lights and sound while my officer takes care of radio and helps reading gps maps so i can focus on my driving. Your officer is really loud, but the driver in this video is excellent! Best regards from a norwegian firefighter abroad
well in Norway you are indeed taught to keep the siren off when it's not necessary to use it. Much better than in many other countries IMO
this is my favorite Ride Along

All firefighters are heroes. In America and The Netherlands, all over the world !!!
Damn 7 minutes to get there, house done burnt down.
I bet that's the passenger's favorite job is pulling on the horn haha Kidding, love the men and women that hold the Red Line!
Sure is a fidgety captain. Should I keep moving my helmet or keep blowing the horn.
Well, the ride was nice. Maybe, next time, we might get to see the fire, and the efforts used to extinguish the fire. That would be interesting!
bruh those wipers were triggering my ocd
really good video i thought really like the ride along good job on the Siren and horn keep it up keep doing more of these. hi from PA
People should learn to pull over when you have a fire truck coming at you
KevynJ4838 the law states they aren’t required to its a “if they want to be respectful” which I think is bullshit
Well that is stupid, I was always told to pull over when I was younger and learning to drive. I still do it many yrs later today. I have a bumper sticker on my car that reads No one ever said you need a brain to drive. You should see all the dirty looks I get from people. Lol
I know here in Michigan it's a state law
I'm sure a lot of the air horn was because they're the second truck, and it's not always clear where the siren noise is coming from, so people may think they emergency vehicle has passed and not look behind them again before pulling out.
@@lbn1188 A lot of people freeze up and panic because they're trying to get out of the way but don't know the right way to go, many videos of people trying to avoid but end up turning the wrong way
This has to be one of the most kickass jobs you could do in this country.
Yeah, he's blowing the horn a lot - they're encountering vehicles that aren't stopping or getting out of the way, or are approaching from side streets, and the fire truck is going through red lights and stop signs.
Rumor has it. Once that truck returned in service, the water tank was removed and a new, much much larger compressor and air tank were installed. Lol
I got a fever, and the only cure is... more air horn.
Timothy Greene damn right!
Dude pullign that horn looks like a blast
Nice video brothas.
If I was the horn guy I’d be yelling at the top of my lungs “toot toot toOoOoOoOotTt” just to annoy the guys
Never saw it take someone so long to get to a structure fire, I'm a volunteer and we get there faster than that
volunteers also have their own vehicles that are much faster than a big rig...
I was laughing my ass off with my man pulling on the horn and I came to comments seeing everyone notice it too HAHAHAHHA. I really thought I'd be the only one.
great horn use until the residential area, then it was a little excessive
As a trucker, this video was thrilling seeing how a truck handles when weaving in and out of traffic during an emergency when I don't get to experience that hauling gravel, lol.
9/10 needs more horn
wow what a cozy little town that is, anyone would want to live there
anyone else bothered by the windshield wipers not being in sync
Yes, I am bothered too.
Anonymous not until you pointed it out. Fuck
Vids ruined now
There individual controls. Meaning 2 knobs that's why there Out of sync.
that looks like so much fun pulling the horn
6:05 the passenger almost pulls the horn from the roof 😆😆😆
Man! That's one long-ass run. Shoulda brought a calendar.
I'm shocked how far they had to go and how long it took to respond. These poor guys can't get a chance if it was serious.
that's a normal long response run in most western European countries with a high population density
Yes they do they are doing a great job doing it to this is in Barboursville west Virginia
Cannot have a fire department every 5 miles, so it is normal. Best to respect all regulations, there are good reasons for most things, including fire prevention.
Gyayandotte station was closer. Was that the blocking traffic truck.
Don't be , What If we didn't have these guys And gal's
That was actually close by. I started to recognize it at the beginning. That’s the Village of Barboursville.
wow that was a long ride and looks like those two trucks were first on scene unless there are trucks on the other side. Good thing it was a small kitchen fire
The house to the right we had a really good fire in there a few years ago got the cam footage of it
Ryan Barnes put it on TH-cam so we can watch it lol
I’m in 2077 and firefighters came up with technology that extinguishes fire faster than water or sodium bicarbonate. Suburbs no longer exist but homes now mandated a fire resistant wall material that’s standard on all homes. Also sirens no longer exist because vehicles have digital windshields that are triggered and tell the driver to brake immediately at an intersection for emergency vehicles.
5:38 oh my f***ing God he is going ham
