If anyone here is new to FlippedNormals (and Blender) , let me encourage you to check this course out. I've been watching their videos for months and months now, and their easy-going yet thorough style is easily among the very best TH-cam has to offer for beginners and advanced users alike. I wish they had this available when I was first starting out last year: there's no shortage of tutorials for Blender on TH-cam, to be honest, but they're mostly very random, and you have to watch a *ton* of them to really get a grasp of the general flow of things, to see how pieces fit together. A more systematic series like this would speed things a lot for me.
I've put off Blender for so long, the new 2.8 made me download it without hesitation. Nice to see you guys have created a comprehensive introduction to it. The "Official First Steps" leaves a lot to be desired, thanks for this!
I finished this Light Saber tutorial and added some of my touches! I love it! I'm into Mech stuff, so if you have more mechanical tutorials, let me know.
Hey guys! Love your tutorials, especially the "Switching to Blender 2.8 for Advanced 3D Artists" one. As a seasoned CG artist who is trying to get into Blender, I would love to see an advanced tutorial series similar to this one for us veterans who don't need the basics.
I've been looking for something like this even though I am a Blender user, sometimes going back to basics is key. Just purchased and gonna give it a shot! Thanks guys really digging your content!
There are some really trippy audio issues in this video. I thought I was losing it for a second. Regardless, this sounds like exactly the tutorial series I need. Thanks guys.
Would you say Blender has reached a point where it is now somewhat on par with the other major 3D softwares in terms of industry application? Or does it still have some ways to go before it will be looked upon seriously and accepted within the industry?
Can't wait to get this guys! Well done. Being new to Blender I did your lightsaber tutorials (I also follow some of the other big name training channels)... but there is something about the way you present the material that just clicks with me, so I am very excited to see this is released. Just one question though... as others have mentioned... what happened to the audio? Is it like this through the whole course?
If this was eight hours on sculpting in blender, I would buy it. Actually, it would need to be the sculpting branch of blender. Or the November release that includes the sculpting branch in blender...
This is an absolute bargain! Plus you guys already covered retopo in Blender and sculpting?! The weird interface and all the extra menus kept me away. But with this series and my own 3d knowledge this is just great. Is there a advanced course in the works as well?
They have tons of free tutorials, including Blender 2.8... This is more like a full course... Don't be cheap and better thank them for all the free content they already have, that's the least we can do if we can't or don't want to buy the course...
Yea how dare they spend hours making free content and then spend even more tons of hours making a concise full course and charge you less than 50$ for all those hours of work. The nerve!
Just watching this intro to the beginner course, half this information, people have provided free on you-tube i realy cant justify paying $73 AU for only 1/3 of what your teaching. Then there is like having to watch 41 videos before you even start to learn to model this reminds me of the hard surface modelling by Aidy Burrows & Gleb Alexandrov, that course too had 30+ videos to watch before modelling and was so drawn out. Sorry but if your going to make a tutorial, some one you should take note of is Chris Plush "corvette" tutorial this is what i would call the standed, when it comes to video tutorials.
@@FlippedNormals so if you buy the personal one and learn a lot and make later money you cant ? isnt it just a lot of videos that show how to learn blender ?
@@dragonbloodeye8661 Freelancers can also teach other people they are not tied to project-related jobs only :p If you bought tutorial series with a personal license, you can't use any of its resources [files that come with it] to teach other people the same subject. Now, someone could make a 1:1 copy of this tutorial with content that they created on their own, but that is called ripping and you don't want that.
guys I have the Import Images as Planes add on but it doesnt work properly. I might be doing sth wrong but sometimes I import the same image and it doesn't fucking upload with the same colors (the correct ones). Is your tutorial about this coming soon or is it a fragment of a tutorial that u've already made? Thanks a lot!
QUESTION: Why would I purchase this course when I've just done the free lightsaber one you did (thanks for that by the way). I'm not a total beginner so is this worth it for me?
Their last, like, 15 videos have all been about Blender. ,just go to the main channel page. Here's the one for the very beginners: th-cam.com/video/Rqv3BDoRjXc/w-d-xo.html
The course may very well be worth the money, but to me there's still something hilariously perverse about coming to a free platform to advertise paid courses for a free program.
james jason lol don’t patronize me. I’m talking about the tutorial itself. Is it going to hotkeys for Mac? Or trackpads instead of mouses? Idk if your brain can wrap your head around my original comment.
Sorry no, more focused on desktop users. I have found though that using blender on my Mac is pretty easy, especially 2.8 There are a few minor things like changing to ortho views on the numpad that you can't do, but so far it hasn't been a problem.
@@mrfeathers3938 Hotkeys stay consistent over any OS. Can't you press command every time he says alt? And NO. Nobody makes premium tutorials for trackpad users. I've purchased a lot of premium tutorials from different places and had never seen an artist working on a mac before, let alone on a fucking laptop.
I'm disappointed in this comment because I heard FUNDAMENTALS around 2:15 to the 2:17 mark. It's a course for beginners so it should go without saying it's a fundamental heavy course

Thank you so much! You guys are absolute heroes. I snapped this up so quick. Can't wait to get dug into this series.
Dudes I would by this just to give support. Best 3d content online I have see so far.
Just bought it, this and the cgboost blender launchpad should get me back in shape with 2.8. Thank you!
can't wait to dig into this! always good to refresh your knowledge with a good tutorial set. :)
Oh, so it's also introduction for the beginners in 3D in general? Nice!
But sound in this video are super weird.

This looks so epic! Really looking forward to learning some fundamentals from you guys 😁
voices from another dimension
Just purchased :) love the videos guys !
Thanks for the support! It means a lot to us 🙏
Can't wait to try this out. Are you going to do one covering character modeling in Blender as well? There's a definite gap needing filling there.
Excited for this - Will a sculpting course in blender for beginners potentially be coming down the pipe??
May or may not be the next course that is coming out in a few weeks 🤷♀️ who really knows
@@FlippedNormals wait unti a few releases later. New brushes and features are coming!

I agree that the audio is weird

I wish sculpting was part of this course as well
Sculpting is coming in a soon to be released course :)

why is there a commercial license whats the diffrence about personal and the other one

Is the offer valid until midnight 25 to 26th or still during the 26th? I don't want to miss it but I need to wait for a few days :(
Still during the 26th
Ends at midnight the 26th Japan time :)

I would say... Just look at the link in the descritption, see what is it all about, then you decide if you need it.
So the price of $49.99 goes up with 25% after september 26?
Our system took a bit longer to update. The regular price is 49.99
Currently 25% off until the 26th
Thanks for Share.
I have a question.
For you. What is the best software for organic model?
Zbrush or Blender 2.8?
Thanks very much.
both can achieve it but have different workflow. Depends to each user
Do you have any free blender beginner tutorials...............Really love the way u explain

If this isn’t laptop (more specifically MacBook Pro) friendly sadly I won’t be purchasing it. If it is, I’ll buy immediately.
