As it is mention in video :
''This is unique twin-lift system, as lot firm production companies call it a money-shot because it's quite unique to this building. It's the largest open installation open system of it's kind in the world. What you have is 8 lift shafts but with 16 cars. No buttons are actually in the lift, you've got destination control panel where staff coming and they choose their floor and then system assigns a lift to that person and at floor. It's a self-learning system where it brings into operation the majority of the lifts in the mornings, lunchtimes and chunk about 5 o'clock. You've got, the red one servers the other floors and the yellow ones servers the lift to bottom floors''

Nice find! These are extremely rare, let along those in the open where you can actually see them in action

The reason they are rare in new construction is due to the fact that they discontinued the system for a few years due to issues with the design. The first system was installed at the old ThyssenKrupp Elevator headquarters in Duesseldorf and it was converted to a conventional traction system one year later.

Thyssenkrupp TWIN is the most unique elevator system on the market today. I can’t wait until they bring out the MULTI elevator system in the future.

Let's just hope the same problems don't show up in MULTI that did in the first version of TWIN.

Crazy fascinating! It'll be interesting to see how this system ages and wears, though...

I envy you guys!!! Because all the Thyssenkrupp elevators over here in North America (especially the US) all are crappy, poorly built, and somewhat generic looking! How come all you guys overseas get the better elevators while us Americans get poorly built ones?!
