'Can't do that,' said Mr Wonka. 'It won't stop till we get there. I only hope no one's using the other lift at this moment.' 'What other lift?' screamed Mrs Teavee. 'The one that goes the opposite way on the same track as this one,' said Mr Wonka. 'Holy mackerel!' cried Mr Teavee. 'You mean we might have a collision?' 'I've always been lucky so far,' said Mr Wonka.
@benobve It operates by normal machines, the lower lift in an underslung arrangement like a KONE EcoDisc, and the upper lift in a traditional arrangement
This technology is very nice. I wonder why they didn't advertise this lift being a TWIN. So maybe there are lots of more lifts around, which look to be standard Thyssen, where the secret of the lift being a TWIN isn't revealed yet. Cool!
@dieselducy Apart from those advertised by ThyssenKrupp themselves, and promo videos that can be found on YT, this is the first TWIN System filmed and uploaded by an elevator community photographer
If I am in upper cabin and want to goto Basement: 1. Will the below cabin go to a reserve space below the basement, if so people in below cabin are stocked for no reason? 2. Or will i have to change the cabin, come to G floor and the take the below cabin to goto B? Either way, there seems to be a fault some where in Intelligence?
That depends how the lift shaft is set up. There might be a holding space at the bottom of the shaft. If not then it is not possible to go from the top floor to the bottom floor.
On their website, they say that this is more efficient. I don't see how as when you go up, people in the other car go up! And if it's an emergency and the lifts are getting crowded they could be in their for ages! This is a breakthrough idea, but they may need to re-think it just a tad
Im actually trying to find your twin lift video where you were in a hospital and one of the cars had an alarm that wouldnt shut up. i cant remeber if you surged or not ? I share one video of yours every day on my facebook page, and i want to explain that twin lifts exist. your other video is better IMO. Also have you ever surfed a lower car ??
contiunation of example: person C tell A person B is in another car C: the dude is in another car a: not true? this is a normal lift so one car per shaft? c: this a twin lift a: what does that mean? c: two cars per shaft a: oh. that explains why he is and isn't there b: what? this is a twin lift? oh!
>>1. It will confuse people if the lift refuses to move because the other is in the way. >>2. It is an amazing piece of technoigy >>3. People might hold the doors open not realising tha they are delaying another lift. >>4. they just want to pretend that is a normal lift to not scare people. 5. Sometimes one of the lifts can move beyond the end level.
This system is a bit stupid....I wonder , if you open doors to shaft , will two lifts stop? Moreover the thing that i say is weird is have to wait because the cab is above you. Wasting time. ; /
Do you mean if the upper car is going to the bottom floor or the lower to the top? No, because there will be a small space for the car to stay until the other lift goes back down. You know that it is happening as the display goes blank and you can hear rattling. You could also press door open to tell the lift that you’re in there and then the direction arrow will show that it’s returning to a floor. It will then move up/down to the nearest floor. If the other car still wants to shove you back down, then tough titty! But if you don’t like staying up there, you can get out when the doors open. Hope this helps!
Itz The upper car would never be sent by the dispatch system to the lower floor , similarly the upper lift to the bottom most. Even a logic without dispatch management would not offer impossible routes, the upper car would not be able to offer the bottom most physical floor and the bottom car would not be able to offer the top floor. All this at the very least of course, moving blocks will apply hence the ‘booking’ of rides by a dispatch management system will be, is, essential.
+Daniel Costache it will stop at the floor under the upper car like If the upper car is on the 5th floor, the lower car will waiting until the upper car is moving away
Seminole Gonzalez Airlines a double deck lift would be two lift cars stacked on top of each other, this is a twin lift as they are both individual cars
My favorite ThyssenKrupp!!!
The hospital is like the mother of one of the lift cabs trying to keep the lift cab from realising that it has a twin.....
Perfect for a drama.
There is a THIRD twin here!! Apparently Core 9 Lift B is _also_ twin! That makes 3 for this place: 4C, 5C, and 9B. 😁
'Can't do that,' said Mr Wonka. 'It won't stop till we get there. I only hope no one's using the other lift at this moment.' 'What other lift?' screamed Mrs Teavee. 'The one that goes the opposite way on the same track as this one,' said Mr Wonka.

Dad, why is there two lifts? The lift was shoved in a clone machine said Dad. WHAT A LIAR said son
Awesome video and great proof showing the car moving below!
@benobve It operates by normal machines, the lower lift in an underslung arrangement like a KONE EcoDisc, and the upper lift in a traditional arrangement
Tall Towers must need this.
Do you think you can get a retake if possible
Imagine being in a twin lift and you look down and theres another car but you don't know its a twin lift

what kind of lifting system do these employ hydro or traction would love to see how its set up
@dieselducy Apart from those advertised by ThyssenKrupp themselves, and promo videos that can be found on YT, this is the first TWIN System filmed and uploaded by an elevator community photographer
If you are a member of staff you can swipe your ID card next to the panel which unlocks all the floors.
the twin TK lifts are amazing
so is one traction and one hydro? or are they both traction i dont know how that could work though
ThyssenKrupp Twin Lift?
The first ThyssenKrupp TWIN elevators on TH-cam!
Awesome. Your so lucky. Nice video.
When You Filmed The Twin Lift On the Other Parts Of The Hospital After That Are You In The Non twin Lifts And Service Lifts ?
@elevescalators cables along the sides of the shaft that goes underneath each elevator car
Evil Owl: I'm going to replace this lift! YOU: NO YOU WONT YOU STUPID OWL!!!!!!!!!
2:10 I’ve never heard that announcement before
What would happen if you were in the upper car and the lower car broke down would the upper car break down
@RailCarADDE Yeah me too :D

Insaaf just follow the dispatch system, it does the logic before you do!
@@benolifts does the lift work like floor 2 is for the lower car and floor 3 and 4 is for upper car
@@realfrowz No
Cool

is it easy to find set 4?
Beno why 4,5,6,7,8,9 & 10 are locked off in the staff only lift or covered lift
if the floor goes to a floor you know which instead of the number and arrow turning off what does it normally do to let people know beno
Are these generic lifts?
Twin lifts are rare
This system is a bit stupid....I wonder , if you open doors to shaft , will two lifts stop? Moreover the thing that i say is weird is have to wait because the cab is above you. Wasting time. ; /
I wonder what would happen if one of the lifts got stuck
Then the other one would be shut down hahaaa
muy bueno
I have yet to find one of those in the United States....
ThyssenKrupp Lift 🛗
I wonder, if you stop the lower car from moving, will patients die?

+Daniel Costache it will stop at the floor under the upper car like
If the upper car is on the 5th floor, the lower car will waiting until the upper car is moving away

beno:lul it's on TH-cam
A Double-Deck lift.
Seminole Gonzalez Airlines a double deck lift would be two lift cars stacked on top of each other, this is a twin lift as they are both individual cars
I got stuck in a lift today (elevator as my country calls it)

Why aren't there beautiful lift voices in britain?
How do you mean?
I mean... don't get me wrong. They are pretty. But their announcements sound too robotic and mechanic.
