      😉 I had wondered if I seemed backwards to others. Then it was pointed out. Then another person mentioned it so I think I was feeling a tad paranoid and super curious. People can be rather cruel on social media about pronunciation of words or a certain thing here or there without taking into consideration where I’m from or that I’m even human. I appreciate you watching and giving positive feedback. Thank you, Sunny! ☀️❤️🌈

    I love this shirt, the colors are very summery and I like that it is so fast. Going to try it with some reds and pinks for Valentine's day. Thanks for sharing this technique.
    I am very ambidextrous and can do pretty much everything equally well except for crocheting. Can only do that right handed. I played
    softball in high school and it came in handy to be able to pitch either handed depending on the batter.:)

    I need to try this. Does it have to be liquid dye or can you do powder? Maybe a light ice, let it melt, and then the super hot water. (Or I could just read the directions you linked 😉)
    Also, while I noticed you were left handed, it does effect your instructions, at least for me. My husband is a lefty, but he does weird things right handed. So interesting.

    • @BelladonnaDyesCo
      @BelladonnaDyesCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question, Katie. Yes, this can be done with ice dye first. A single layer of ice because the “muck” it creates needs to be accounted for in the liquid aspect. The goal it to keep the water “low”. Make sense? You can do it!
      You were the first to publicly notice I was left handed. I was surprised you had mentioned it because I knew I was asking the question in a future upload. 😜 You’re husband being a lefty,,, well you get it… for us we live in a right handed world. 😂 I get told all the time “why are you doing it like that” about everything. I stop and go “doing it like what!?!” I don’t know any other way 😉 ❤️🌈

      This process is “muck” dye on steroids. If you need to make something in a hurry without mixing soda ash in the dye and having a sprayer, this is the method. Obviously different colors will produce different results. I forget how easy the process is. I need to do it more often. ❤️🌈

  • @Flower.Child.

    How much different would it be if you were to do the same colors, but doing it with the traditional technique that you do normally (pre soak with soda ash first, spiral, liquid dye, let it marinate for 24 hours) the question is would look the same, would the colors and spacing be more defined. In the LWI technique the colors look more together; if you did it the other way would there be more spacing and well defined. Inquiring minds want to know. 😀
    If you could show this one side by side with the traditional technique. In the next video. If possible.

    • @BelladonnaDyesCo
      @BelladonnaDyesCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tariq, the short answer is, “No, they will look completely different” I will make a shirt with the traditional tie dye technique and upload it so you can see. Stay tuned. It will take several days to get it done.
      LWI creates a layered effect. The dye starts out without any soda ash and soaks into the fibers in all the nooks and crannies then it gets a blast of hot soda ash water and the dye reaction happens. Since it’s sitting in the water it gets a “muck” effect. It’s a cool technique. ❤️🌈

    I was born left-handed but when I was in first grade and learning to write. My teacher forced me to write with my right hand she would tape my fingers together or make me sit on my left hand.
    As she put it. "There will be no evil in her class."
    My parents went along with it.
    Fast forward to when my daughter was in kindergarten and her teacher saw that she was left-handed. Informed that we must teach her to use her right hand to write with. I told her that my daughter was born left handed and that's the hand she going to learn to write with.

      I had sort of the similar experience but not as extreme. They gave me weird big pencils and crayons and tried to force me to write with my right hand. Like 1981 or so… I think they were lightening up by then. The nuns tried to force it. I had a sweet teacher, Miss DeWitt, she wasn’t a nun and she let me be me. To me, left handed people don’t seem backwards; they look more awkward. Especially when they write with their wrist curved in that tight angle. Years ago, I had to have surgery on my right hand. I was still in college and I had to be able to write. I had to force myself to learn how to do everything left handed quickly. Now I’m ambidextrous. Oddly enough, I also learned that my left hand is less dyslexic than my right. My right hand gets b, d, p, g, and q mixed up and I write the letter F backwards. My left hand only misspells the word THE; it comes out as TEH. My hand/eye coordination is also better left handed than right handed. 🤷‍♀️

    Being somewhat ambidextrous and right handed I don't see left-handed people doing anything "backward"
    If you play an instrument or dance you have to use all your limbs simultaneously.

      That’s true. I was just curious because it’s a right handed world. I probably do a lot of things right handed because I learned by watching right handed people tie things up. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for watching and commenting. 😊❤️🌈

      @@BelladonnaDyesCo - sure. My nephew is left-handed and I've had a few left-handed friends. So, it's not unusual for me in my life.

    I didn’t realize you are one of those weird people that do everything bass ackwards 😂 Just joking around.
