How to make an Original GBN Gunpla,
1. Grab a old high grade
2. Glue a bunch of spikes everywhere
3. Paint it in very flamboyant colors
4. Give it some weird name
(Optional)5. Just add a crap ton of GN-Drives to it
this sums up season 1
Also add some custom parts and weapons to make it unique
step 6. Only use kapool or SD gundam if you're a female

That ratchet joint on the arms is used for the OG GP02’s Shield so it could hold it strongly
Yeah since the shield was so huge and holding half the bazooka
Or even holding the bazooka itself, as its back section is stuck on the right shoulder.
The hands on the original kit have some of the highest friction I have ever seen, it resulted in a hand twisting right off its own peg and snapping
I think the reason for the Tau Drives instead of the true GN Drives is similar to the reason not everyone uses Trans-am machines. Early in the original Build Divers Riku said that you can only use Trans-Am if you built your gunpla well enough. The reason why was shown when his drives exploded while fighting Ogre. Since the GP-02 gunpla Ogre used as a base is older and older model he likely decided to use the weaker Tau drives instead of true ones to make sure he didn't overload and explode in the middle of a fight. He definitely seems skilled enough to reinforce the older model but he would also be smart enight not to push it too far.

And while that is great and all, but you should also look at it from a builder's POV, green particles from a true gn drive doesn't really mix with an overall red-black ogre color scheme.

This is the Re:Rise version. The original is Gundam GP-Rase-Two. This is Gundam GP-Rase-Two-Ten. The original had one club with a bazooka mode. This one has two bazookas in addition to the club.

I get the feeling in the series that selectparts are a kitbash of the base with some master parts thrown in there.
I'm pretty sure the GP-Rase-Two-Ten head is a custom Gundam Virsago head, not a Master Gundam head.
The Master Gundam's Horns/Ears are more rounded, and Epyon's Horns/Ears are too short and flared backwards more like Ears.
The rest of the head also looks like Virsago.

(Edit) Also, there are a few tidbits I’d like to correct/Bring-to-your-attention:
1: Those aren’t ratchet joints for the wrist, only tight friction joints.
2: Those claws can detach from the binders as wired funnels.
Going Blargh it has 5 drives , and it isn’t the only one with that many drives
Descartez Shaman in Gadelaza is like said : punten, lur.....i have 21 GN Drives units...
The GN Big Cannons of Raphael Gundam and the GN Bazooka of Raphael Gundam Dominions come to mind for weapons powered by an on-board GN Drive [T], but *five* for the whole array is quite the amount for a single mobile suit.

Fun fact, you hit the right mark there: Rase Two Ten is the fun name pun of Rasetsuten which is Rakasha. That fits something on that Oni/Ogre GP suit. xD

In the show the claws on the back have a wire that allows it to move around more it appears in the battle with Riku and Kyoya
one thing that I liked about this kit is that the extra parts can be used to color swap the gp02. and those extra hands came in handy since one of the pegs for the shield hand broke off inside its sister piece. one quick swap out and gp02 was back to holding its shield properly. and swaping out the kneecaps for red, the thrusters and wing binders into purple, and i really liked it.

The clear parts on the head and both swords are very UV reactive, so that helps with display ideas

The Effect Parts from the Age 1 Titus and the GN Ogre fit into the GPS wrist!!! Also the end claws of one of the variants can come off and you can attach a wire to them like in the anime.

Honestly from the first announcement i thought this kit would be bronze tier all the way but when mecha review it, i love it! Super cool and super fun!
That head fusion between GP02A and Master Gundam is just ASKING for a Getter 1 conversion.
My headcanon is that Hiroto scans in all his armors Skylanders style and he just has a pile of support units that he puts on the scanner. Also based on the description of Mobile Doll Sarah's Moonlight Butterfly the balance in GBN is probably different than the actual Gundam universes. Otherwise the game would be filled with Psycho-Frame Quantum System ∀ nanomachine Crossbone Gundams.
Could you not utilize the connection points for the shorter claw sections for the longer articulated claw sections?
This backpack would look great on the 30 minute mission units....if it fits.

Remember that the GP-02 had to hold up the Atomic Bazooka and the Shield that stores it, it had to be sturdy. Also can we talk about the fact that Ogre is a Madlad who put 5 GN Drives on the GP-02.
Alright, so I'm gonna be "That Nerd" real quick. It's possible he went with the GN Drive Tau in the Revolver Cannons because the original Tau particles were "optimized for beam weaponry", whereas True GN Drives had their particles more tuned to be for a general purpose use. So the True GN Particles in this case would probably be weaker than the G1 Tau Particles.
Also, is it me or does it have drives in the Binders? Dude's going for 5 tau drives in the rase-two-ten xD

So, the normal Rasetsu had triple GN Drive (Twin at the binder) and the Ten version it got two more that attached at the canon?
The series kinda hints at that your suits abilities are one side based on build quality and other side points/xp earned to unlock gear slots and special abilities. And I guess a true drive costs a lot of points. Now of course anime protags tend to cheat / be special / etc so usually have more starter points. :P
This gives me an idea for a Custom.
Replace the arms with Reborn Gundam's Arms (Including the GN Drives) and add Cherudim's rear skirt (Including the GN Drive). As well as make it hold Quanta's Shield because why not.

When did you order this because i ordered my gunpla kits from HLJ 4 weeks ago and they still got sent back to HLJ because of COVID-19.
I think the old mold works because of how big the feet are to hold up all the extra weight. definitely a better kit than the Ogre GNX.

To be fair you'd wouldn't be able to pose a gp02 with its cannon I guess for the eyes blaster you could use gold paint. Could you use the cannons with the other arms

So the "solar reactors" or the gn Tau drives just increase the base units performance. Add the fact that they emit red particles I guess ogre went with the Tau for aesthetic reasons more than anything else.
Despite being weaker than og gn drives and limited operation time they still likely pack a wallop.

In GBN, the Celestial GN drive is a pay-to-win top tier item. The Pseudo GN drive is a cheaper option. Oga needs 3 for the Rase Two Ten, so he takes the cheaper option
