    I somehow did not have an every year version of this video, so I decided to fix that. Which partition was the most depressing? 1, 2, 3, or ww2?

    • @EmperorTigerstar
      @EmperorTigerstar  6 ปีที่แล้ว +84

      She was a girl, but her official title was still king specifically due to complex reasons. Basically they had no concept of ruling queen compared to queen consort in their kingdom at all. So she had to be referred to as king.

    There's a very big mistake in here, between 1138 and until 1320 Poland wasn't a country, it was just a group of independent states, which were not a united until 1320, when Władysław Łokietek officially united Poland.
    Also Władysław the III's title wasn't "of Poland" but in polish it's "Warneńczyk", so it's more like "of Warna"

    • @TeddyTheAcro
      @TeddyTheAcro 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Maybe

    • @Blue-ir3sw
      @Blue-ir3sw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It changes nothing that in Polish he's called Warneńczyk, it's just a nickname which can not be understood well by others. "of Poland" is simple I think. It also could be just Władysław Jagiellon and would be the same person so I don't see a problem.

      Japan loves Poland. Poland is a beautiful country. Japan has played Chopin songs for over 100 years. Poland is great. In 1920 and 1922, Japan rescued 765 Polish orphans in Siberia. Poland asked Japan to rescue a Polish orphan in Siberia. Japan promised to rescue immediately.
      The smallest orphaned child was 2 years old. The child was crying near the dead mother. The Japanese rescued the orphan immediately. The child told the dead mother "Goodbye Mom". Japan rescued a total of 765 Polish orphans.Japan sent orphans to Japan for treatment.Orphans ate delicious and warm meals every day. All Polish orphans have recovered. Almost all Japanese donated money to save orphans. On the day of return, all 765 Polish orphans returned to Poland safely.
      In 2018, an elementary school commemorating this was completed in Warsaw. Japan loves Poland. God bless Poland.

    I've noticed 3 mistakes.
    1. already mentioned in other comments, 1138-1320 poland was divided into small independent states
    2. when poland joined up with lithuania a large portion of ukraininan territory went to the polish part, another mistake that lasts a long time in the video
    3. you didn't show the changes in territory after ww II - they were minor, but they were there.

    I’m here to understand why Poland might be sending “peacekeepers” into Western Ukraine. Are they imagining pre-WW2 borders while Ukraine is weak and in disarray?

    • @vendomnu
      @vendomnu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking the same thing. Around 1643 we kinda see the 'novo russia' area in white (what I think will be taken in the end by russia) and the rest is polish/lithuanian.
      At any rate, Poland has about as big as historic a claim on Ukraine as Russia has. I'm not saying that fair or right, just that geopolitics is usually neither, anyway.

    • @krakus6393
      @krakus6393 ปีที่แล้ว

      Poland having Western Ukraine is not the borders of WWII, this is the rightful borders of Poland, and how it should've been for thousand of years.

      Divided on principalities ruled by a oldest dynasty member in Cracow to be exact. Not sure if Kievan Rus had same situation as Poland . And i didn't really happen in all Middle Ages but only from 1138-1320 so I would rather say in high Middle Ages
