Josh holds the crown when it comes to reviews at AA. Huawei is going to be a heavy hitter in the US very soon and HTC is going to fizzle out. The more I see the Nexus 6P it becomes more and more beautiful; the design is clean, subtle and elegant. It may not be the most feature packed phone out there, but in my opinion it is the best phone of 2015.

Why do you think it's better than the Note 5?
+mikecantreed Note 5 has S pen and wireless charging.
6p has dual front facing speakers, USB type C, quick updates and a better battery. I prefer the 6p.
+aman ahuja Well Type-C is more of a disadvantage for now. It'll be somewhat around a year or so, when everybody jumps on it and the accessories, hubs, cables and stuff goes cheap. For me, selling point is this: It's a nexus. Nothing is an android device except for nexus. I'd take Nexus 5(the old one) over note 5 anyday. Unfortunately I'm stuck with my piece of shxt Galaxy S3, which I kinda keep alive by flashing unofficial ROMs. Can't wait till I can get my hands on 5x or 6p.

+D13H4RD2L1V3 I can't tell if I really like the N5X. I need to see it in person. Also, you only get 16GB which is too low for me and I'd have to pay almost 450 to get 32GB and no SD expansion. At that price I might as well get the 6P.

Awesome phone, but no expendable storage is kind of a deal breaker for me. Nonetheless, definitely the best Android phone on the market right now.

Not a pure Android experience, and in my personal experience with TouchWiz, it sucks.

its better to buy a metal finished than that of a plastic
6p and 5x are differently priced so they can't really be pitted head to head !

Amazing review! 👍 I was waiting to get this phone when it was announced but the prices outside the US are just crazy, so i settled with the Note 4.
Does/Will the Nexus 6p suffer from amoled burn in? Just like the nexus 6 and most samsung devices?

The Nexus line has always been the reason for me stay with Android. Now that they've become unaffordable in my country I honestly don't know what to do.

The Nexus 5X is cheaper.
The Moto x has a near stock android experience, Motorola and nexus devises are the only android phone I would ever get.
Wait... That's the reason you're with Android? Where else would you go? iOS? Pretty sure that's even less affordable.
The OPO is still a very viable option in 2015.
The camera at the back makes it look unique and modern and beautiful. Would definitely buy this.

if doze only works if phone sits for awhile it's pointless. I charge my phone every night. if it doesn't work in my pocket that kinds sucks

STAMINA does basicly the same thing for a long time alredy.
And that as soon as the screen goes of.
But most of all, also in your pocket! It does not have to lie still.
Yeah. Was kind of disappointed to hear that it only works in that situation. Kinda pointless. Only time my phone isn't in my pocket it is at night when it's charging..

That's also why I'm a bit cocerned what I red about Doze. About what OEM's will be allowed to do in terms of power saving.
I would hate it, if I would lose STAMINA over this!
it's ANDROID. basically you can do everything. greenify now can help you enter doze as soon as the screen goes off and it doesn't require Root. just one click if you'd like you phone to doze.

I'm enjoying almost all features of Marshmallow on my latest CyanogenMod nightly, still have vertical app tray, latest 4 apps used in top line n getting 4-4.5hrs with my Oppo find 7a loaded with CM 12.1 nightly what am I missing here?

Just got mine today, it's so beautiful
You could also use the notification led/light so you atleast know which kind of notification you got. Insted of turning on the amibient display.
I wanna note that QC 2.0 still works. Its just that usb c natively supports higher rate of chatging now so we dont need qc 2.0 anymore.

Does anyone know how long the processing of a HDR+ photo take in this NEXUS 6P? I used to have a NEXUS 5 and it usually takes 2-3 seconds to finish processing a HDR+ photo, which is toooo long. Cheers
