    I really think Michael Fisher reviews phones better than MKBHD
    He compares phones so well that he does not even have a competitor !!!
    Excellent job Michael !!!!!!

      +Anuj Chaulagain i'm inclined to agree. If i want something thorough then i'm choosing Michael's reviews every day of the week. Marques tends to be on the simpler side...gets to the point and does it well, very easy on the ear....and it's just him so i don't expect comparisons and the lot. That's too much content to push for one guy.

      +L BS Question, how is the Motorola Pure a more well rounded device? The Nexus has a better camera (for pictures), better screen, finger print scanner, better front facing camera, better updates, and more premium feel. They each have front facing speakers, but for my money I'm going Nexus 6P all day. Just too much of the better thing. Curious as to why you think it's better. Also, don't mention Moto Assist, an app called Agent does the same thing and is easier to configure and offers the same thing with one downloadable application. You can also program your Nexus to respond to another key phrase as well during recording process of the always on configuration.

    Nexus 6P. I have it. The main reason I wanted it was the fast updates. The camera was a priority, and I chose better low light and more saturation. The fingerprint was a cool addition as well. So was the slow-mo. Sure the Moto has some cooler features, but the fast updates and great low light shots are the main reasons I am sticking with the Nexus 6P. Whenever I see an article about a new feature in Android, I know my phone will support it in the vast majority of cases.

    switched from droid turbo to Nexus 6p. I miss Moto suite but the improved performance of marshmallow and the fingerprint scanner make the Nexus 6P just a bit better. I dbrand skin all my devices so looks are subjective, but I prefer the feel of a skinned Nexus to the bulk of Moto phones. Great review!

  • @SuckMyCoffinDick
    @SuckMyCoffinDick 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    How come the Pocketnow team never take into consideration the fact that most people outside the U.S. can't customise their Moto X if they choose to buy one? I agree it's a great feature but as someone living outside the U.S. it's just a pain.. even to buy the plastic / black version of the Moto X Style (let alone a leather or wood back model with some sort of engraving). I think this should be taken into account unless you aim to focus your reviews solely to U.S. citizens.

    I got the 6P and am very impressed. I had a Note 4 and loved it, well, until it got wet. lol. The 6p seems very premium. The camera is excellent and Marshmallow is fast. +blueman24 Software bugs were pretty bad in OP2, but OPO was pretty solid. Especially since the dev community was extremely large for that device (and still is for that matter). OP2's OS feels more like a custom ROM, bugs, bugs, and bugs.

For incoming calls on moto x style and nexus p, do both speakers operate, or does the incoming caller's voice only play through the top speaker? Also, for private incoming calls, which offers the loudest volume -- moto x style or nexus 6p?

    @rocketval9288 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    If you don't need an excellent screen, a good headphone output, expandable storage and all the moto softwares improving the user experience.. go for Nexus 6P.
    If you don't need a fingerprint sensor, the latest snapdragon chipset, all the minor updates for the next 2-3 years.. go for Moto X Pure.

    • @SuperLiammail
      @SuperLiammail 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Valerio Melucci Well I find the Amoled screen on the 6P much better than the IPS one on the Moto X. I can't listen to headphones due to it causing hearing loss so I use a bluetooth speaker instead. Cloud storage, and honesty I don't know how one can fill all 32GB. I would probably turn those off to save battery, or if I REALLY needed them, I would use a app.
      Fingerprint sensor is dope af. Not why I bought the phone but a nice bonus. I get to be actually hyped for Android N!

    Great review! I ordered both phones and sent back the Moto X. It was really close. I loved Moto's Attentive Display and the easy settings wheel for the camera. But I thought the on/off button wasn't very responsive, took a bit too much effort. Which is kind of major, given how much it gets used. AND I usually keep my phones for 2-3 years. The 6P will likely still be getting Android updates in 3 years, but I doubt that the Moto X will. Which will probably make a difference in the longer-term performance, etc..

      +David Yang one is a manufacturing defect; the other is a clear limitation of AMOLED technology. Reviewers don't mention the AMOLED burn-in problem because they never use the phone outside of the first month or so; burn in doesn't usually happen until six or so months of use.

      Wasn't that fixed by adding transparent status bar in homescreen? My firend is still using orginal galaxy s2 and the only place were screen looks bad is where the status bar is (it has broken because it was displaying only black for most of the time)

      +theycallmedicklet that's only on the home screen or on phones with face buttons. Any other phone will still be vulnerable to burn in after a few months since the UI is on the screen at all times.

    • @ibrahimsito
      @ibrahimsito 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Freaky_Chic_Girl101 The screen & the speakers. Also, there isn't much difference between it & my old Nexus 5, I mean in terms of user experience. I would like to have something with more features + better screen & speakers. The camera though is very very good, the finger print sensor is awesome & it's a very light device as well :]

      +iBraHiM TaShKaNDi You mean the "speaker", since it only has one right? I think that you should have gone with the 6p instead.

    • @ibrahimsito
      @ibrahimsito 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +jose Calderon Yes. You're right, the "speaker", and I would've gone for the 6P if it was sold here in Canada -_- apparently the Google Store keeps saying "coming soon"... Anyways, I just ordered my Moto X Pure Edition through a website called "Big Apple Buddy"... Found it on Google, they help you buy stuff from USA that aren't available to purchase outside USA. It was the only way to get it since I have no contacts there.

    have people stopped transferring stuff from their phone to their pc? Apart from select podcasts, I mainly stream music and video from services like spotify and youtube, so I only really take up space with apps and photo/video, which I can then easily dump on my pc from time to time if I need more space. I know some people who have pretty large music collections on their phones, with up to 10 GB of songs, and of course 4k video takes up a lot of space, but 64 GB is still plenty of storage for me not to have to worry about dumping my data for long periods of time.

    Great reviews and I almost pulled the trigger on the MX Pure but decided to try out Fi. If you get a Fi account, you can add the cost of the nexus as installments to your bill so now I hope to pay less than I was with Verizon for the same plan AND a sweet new phone. I'll miss the Moto features and gestures, though.

    Really great comparison video here but I still feel like I want both of these! I've only played with the MXP so far at Best Buy & the crisp more natural looking screen colors+speakers were more impressive than my AMOLED-mono speaker Note4 but I hope battery life improves with M since I'm used to removable batteries yet at least I've read it charges faster than the N6P & I also use external batteries-chargers. Anyone have both of these & regret it feeling that the N6P is just the be-all end-all never going back to MXP?

Plus the colour on the nexus 6p chops terribly and the visor on the back scratches like hell so if you don't put a case on it your bummt.

    Thanks for another awesome video, Mr. Fisher! Personally, I chose the Nexus 6P over this year's Moto X (and that's coming from a former Moto X lover). While Motorola's added features make the Moto X a must-have, I got tired of Motorola's lies in terms of updating my 2013 1st Gen to Lollipop (which never happened) among other things. And the 6P is my first Nexus ever. I'll take fast updates and promised future support any day.

    Is there anything like Moto assist on other phones? Is there an app that can do the same thing? I'm physically disabled and they hands-free experience with Moto phones has been essential for me. But I feel like I'm locked to a specific brand. I'm aware Google now is basically on every android phone but it does not work when in standby mode. Whereas the Moto phones allow you to use Google now from across the room even in standby mode. So my question is, does only Moto have this useful feature or is there an app in the Google play store that will allow me to do the same thing on other phones?
