+SuperSaf TV it's easy just put something under tin enough not to be noticed ( u can see the shadows if u look closely ) and have something on the floor so u can tell the distance and it will give that effect

Great video Marques, I pretty much agreed with all your points about the 5X. Certainly an impressive phone but not sure I'd keep it as my primary device (camera/battery aren't the best). Thanks for the review though.

+TWC Productions Ignore the other person being a jerk -- NFS Most Wanted is infamous for being a CPU hog, so when it comes to gaming performance, it's a good one to use for benchmarking to see how the latest processors overcome that problem (this way they're not just seeing the effects of a phone's GPU on gaming).

Hey Marques, great video! Been a while since you recorded this, but I just started looking at these phones. Your delivery is Broadcast ready. Anderson Cooper used to freelance and shoot his own video. What amazed me about his work, was how well he stayed on message. Apparently even people with lots of experience have a hard time with this. You didn't miss a beat!
Just two or three months ago, everyone was complaining about USB type C with the Oneplus Two, but no one complains about it anymore with the new Nexus phones. I guess the tech review community shouldn't make a knee-jerk reaction when a new feature is implemented. I think, in the future, we should all take it as a sign that a floodgate of a new trend in smartphones is about to open very soon, and be optimistic instead of judgmental.

I think the reason they were upset is because one plus was going against the grain in terms of the standard and they don't have any real pull in the market where as the nexus is basically the prototype of how the Android experience should be and since its Google they have the power to force oems to implement this tech
+Alq The OnePlus Two USB-C did nothing but force people to buy new cables for no good reason. It wasn't even USB 3.0, nor did it support Quickcharge.

Thanks for this review. I just got this phone in conjunction with the Google Fi service. Since I rarely use a cell phone that often, this will be just about right for my needs. I also like the fact that this Android device is not filled with useless bloat. I like things simple and clean. I liked the way you gave the review. Straight forward, honest, and to the point. Am I literally the only one who prefers IPS over AMOLED? Much more natural colors, and no burn-in.

looking at my V10 screen and I love it. even the blacks look great.
Waiting on the Z5 premium with its Triluminos (viewing angles like crazy without rainbows and easily visible in the sun) display. no worries over burn in and ghosting and surely with the Z5's resolution, sharp and crisp will be understatements.

+Artyom Hov. Yep, the Oneplus X eats it for the price. The only thing that's lesser on the X is the lack of fingerprint scanner and camera is a tiny bit behind the Nexus. But for $150-ish less, not a big deal.

Same here. This is going to be my backup phone for when I get tired of my flagship and decide to sell it before the next one comes out. I'll try Fi for the required month but don't see myself keeping it cause I pay less on a family plan. So, for me, it was only $230 for the phone.

I got the Nextbit Robin and my friend has the Google Nexus 5X, and they are frankly very similar in nearly every way.
How to display contacts with phone numbers only on nexus 5x ? I am struggling to find this option. I hate seeing a long unwanted google contact list on my phone. Cant sync contacts with my car because of a huge list . Any help appreciated

Ali Mohammed Ameen I use the nexus 5x as my daily driver and I LOVE IT. Ever since the release, the updates have made the phone very smooth. Although, the 2gb of ram does make the phone a bit laggy, especially in the camera app. But aside from that it's perfect (for me )

I have a 5X, best phone I had, one day I was playing a game and it just froze and the screen went black and it wouldn't turn on and still won't till this day and I figured out its called boot loop that's a problem with the LG Google Nexus 5X
Mine too. Everyone I knew who had a 5X had a bootloop issue. Sucks that it never got any real recognition
Too and I love this phone, got it fixed and I'm gonna just keep it after the next bootloop as a memory.
This exact same thing happened to my pixel 2, is a Google thing even with the pixel 3 and probably with the pixel 4 too

@@sara_m Yes, is a Google thing. Search for Pixel 1 motherboard issue, the freezing and black screen is very common on Google phones

Hey Marques! Back in the day, my daily driver was a Moto G (my first android phone after being a 100% apple user) and I absolutely fell in love with android. However, I shifted back to using an iPhone because my laptop is a Macbook Pro and it just seemed to make more sense to use an iPhone for its continuity with my laptop in terms of content.
Lately I've been contemplating if I should switch back to android or not, but I don't know how it would work to transfer content (music, photos, videos, and other media) between my phone and laptop. I remembered that you are mainly an android user while your desktop is a Mac Pro. How do you deal with your content if your desktop is Apple while your phone is an Android?
Can you make a video about chromebooks and their features and how to enhance your experience with them? Top apps you might recommend, the differences between chromebooks and Windows and apple laptops etc.? Please... Thank you

+GTRMclaren722 I don't think is that simple. The Nexus has some better specs like the CPU and the fingerprint sensor, quick charging, clean stock Android with guaranteed updates and a better camera overall.
The Idol and Zenfone 2 have worse screens and the OnePlus looks dope but the invitation system kinda breaks any kind of deal.
I'm not saying the phones you mentioned are bad, they actually pretty great. But if you're like me I'd rather prefer Android updates above anything else. But yeah, I'm also considering the OnePlus X... if I just got a freaking invite... :/
