    What do you think is the most unreliable engine in the world?

    • @pasmoi4233
      @pasmoi4233 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      lada, some peugeot, some renaults, english cars, and ferraries.
      (most modern peugeot and renault, the ones currently being made are totaly unreliable)

    When I traded my daughter's 1995 Camry with the 3.0 1MZ-FE V6 engine it had over 365k miles and ran fine. No burning oil, No sludge, however I bought it with 250k miles from a friend who had it 10 years and had run Amsoil. 2 oil filters and 1 oil change per year. I ran synthetic oil and changed it once a year. A lot
    of people buy Toyota and don't service regularly because they are so good - results sludge and burning oil.

    I personally own 2 engines on this list, and the 1zz in my Pontiac vibe has nearly 300,000 miles and counting

    under the 1-zz you showed footage of 2-zz as well, to be fair they drink oil too haha, did you forget the 2AZ-FE?

  • @Makeno1021

    5:43 you are talking about the 1ZZFE but the picture clearly shows the viewer a 1NZFE engine as indicated by the intake runners

    You forgot to tell us in what cars we find the 1.5 Honda EarthDreams engines.

    There is a Civic with the 1.5T engine with over 700k miles and still going as far as I know. The owner has said it's been the most reliable engine he's ever owned.

  • @bevorules77
    @bevorules77 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    When you talk about the Honda 1.5L Earth Dreams, you're showing footage of the 9th gen Accord. The 9th gen had the ultra-reliable K24. I'm thinking about replacing my 2014 Accord with a new CR-V, but I'm a bit worried about the 1.5T.

    • @m109r
      @m109r ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you live in cold climate don't buy a honda with 1.5. I have a 2019 crv. I have oil dilution problems and no heat in stop and go driving in the winter. I have owned hondas since 1991. If you live in hot climate I would still consider the 1.5.

    • @bevorules77
      @bevorules77 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @m109r Thanks for the advice. I'm in Houston so the cold won't be a problem.

      My 1.5T on my Civic Si is self-destructing at 55K miles. And I maintain my cars. It's a Lemon and Honda has been next to useless to deal with. Horrible ownership experience. Injectors on backorder. When I finally get this dog fixed I am unloading it and getting a Dodge Charger.

      The non-turbo 1.5l earth dreams engine in the Honda Fit is crazy reliable.

    the r18 doesn't suffer from cracking engine blocks, that was an early defect in the block casting that was fixed after 2008, its one of the more reliable Honda engines, the issue only exists in the north American r18a1 not the European r18a2 or later versions.

    You forgot the 2012-2013 toyota GT86/frs (brz) catastrophic valve spring recall: with lots of mechanics destroying the engine while not doing it the right way.
    And also the 2022 toyota GR86 RTV issue that destroyed lots of engine.

    I own an accord with the f22a (essentially the same as the f22b, but pre vtec) and I haven't noted any of the issues listed here. Maybe it's due to the vtec installment in the f22b that these problems occur, but otherwise the f22a has been a really reliable engine to me. 138k miles and counting as my daily. Trans is garbage though, no argument there lol.

      I've had 9 f22 powered Accords, my current f22b1 has 330k on it, original. My f22a4 has 323k. I've NEVER had a motor problem with any of them ever and they all had 250k minimum

    I had a 2001 Corolla S and before it wouldn’t pass smog it would eat a gallon of oil per tank of gas. Definitely had a very stuck oil ring, but the number 1 cylinder was known for it.

    There’s a misunderstanding about the j35 Honda engines ! this video makes no t sound like all j35 are bad ! The ones without the VCM are bullet prof and can last 300,000 plus miles easy the ones with VCM suck but the VCM can be bypass and the engine instantly becomes one of the best engines ever

      Rolling with the D series and K series ever since I first drove (+10years ago). Only thing I got issue with my D16 is the dizzy worn off. Nothing to report for K series, they're both well over 250K on the clock.
