Using a ryzen 7735hs, does using 64gb cause bottlenecking or thermal issues? What about reliability or the fan speed? Is the increase in performance masked by the cpu? Sorry I have a lot of questions, I’m trying to do the same upgrade. Would appreciate any help👏
Everything went well except for the SSD port screw. I couldn't open it because I need a different screwdriver. Can you tell me which one I should use? Thanks!
Replaced my 2x8 gb 4800mhz ram kit with Crucial 64gb ram kit (2x32gb) 4800mhz SODIMM and added Kingston KC3000 2Tb PCIe 4.0 NVMe m.2 ssd on to empty slot on my Asus TUF A15 (2023) FA507NV. Even though the asus site specify that it supports up to 32gb ram, 64 gb ram works just fine.
Perfect. Since I couldn't find 8gb Samsung ram I went with one Corsair 16gb stick. Of course I'll have to remove the existing 8gb Samsung ram. That should leave me open to add another 16gb Corsair for a total of 32gb, but I don't I'll do that.
I installed two 32 gb rams like 3 years ago and they still work fine i am using external hdd all the time, but i am running out of space lately as i am not sure what to delete anymore i remembered about the free ssd slot in the laptop and i am thinking about getting one or maybe external Sdd this time
It would depend on the clearance of the heatsink, some are thicker than others and may not fit the space. I find the thermal strips are a safe bet, so if you choose to try an SSD with a heatsink, just make sure you verify the measurements first!
I have the ASUS TUF F15 2023 i7 12700H AND RTX 4070, I am thinking of buying 2 WD SN850X 4TB SSDs since I work with heavy files in 6k and 8k video editing. Do you think that those 2 SSDs that I mentioned are compatible and that you can place them without problems?
My metal locking tab above battery connector just broke, Would it be a problem to leave the battery connector just plugged in without the metal locking tab? Should I tape it with electrical tape?
It will still work if you just connect it as it is BUT vibrations and bumps can shake it loose and give you problems, even a short circuit and possibly damaging your horse. I'm sure purpose-suited tape would work as a simple fix for the broken metal clip 😭
If i buy a laptop with 512gb ssd, am i able to add a secondary 512gb ssd for overall 1.024tb ssd in the system? Also after i change the storage in the hardware, do i need to do anything for the software?
I bought consistent 3200 mhz but it didn't work on my asus tuf a15 i tried to check it on other laptop it worked then i tried 4 gb another stick of different company it worked in my tuf now iam scared to buy new ram don't know if it will work or not
They're optional, but can help with reducing internal temps while running under heavy load. You can find aftermarket ones at Amazon: geni.us/c5xa [Amazon Affiliate Product Link] These are typically copper, graphene, or a combination with an adhesive backing.
My son and I have been trying to troubleshoot a Crucial 2tb Nvme because it keeps crashing on login. Does just fine without the secondary nvme installed. So I am not totally sure, should be. 😊
i feel like even an old brick nokia would support 2tb of storage, I dont really see how more storage would break anything as long as it isnt too high of a generation without backwards compatibility.
I installed 5600MHz ddr5 ram. But it's stuck operating at 4800Mhz. The spec sheet at asus website indicates support for 5600mhz. Am I missing some settings to change?
@@stolekey sorry for late reply, Yes I did. It was fully charged when I did the upgrade and for whatever reason after installing RAM and SSD the battery was gone that’s why it wont turn on, so what I did was I recharge the Laptop and it started working again.
64gb works as well! Saw a Reddit post about it and decided to give it a try

Where did you get that passive heatsink for the m.2?
Would installing an ssd with a heatsink work or do you need to install one and add the thermal strip you put on?

In this case I think NAS would be the best choice.
Bro i have this same model but i cant see or find the WiFi card. Can u help
Do you actually have to discharge the battery
Not discharge the battery, after disconnecting the battery you discharge the laptop itself not the battery...by holding down the power button
May ask is the ram capacity per slot is 32gb? Or 16gb x2?
it can take 32 each ram slot
I installed nvme its not showing up at all

Sorry, I don’t have the answer, but I am looking to upgrade mine. Please let me know if you come to a conclusion!
what is your spec?
Thats because the cpu supports up to 4800Mhz only

Where do you find out the cpu support? And where donyou find out the motherboard support for speed?

No need of installation of windows in new ssd ?
no your other one will be what windows boots off of. the new one just needs to be partitioned to work with your current windows installation.
I REMOVES THE SCREWS AND DONT KNOW THE ORDER PLEASE HELP!
