Have you tried Scotia 1/300 models? I ordered some and they arrived today. These models are for the South African/Angolan war of the 1980s and include Soviet armour for the Cuban/FAPLA side and some interesting locally manufactured South African equipment, ie G5 and G6 artillery and various Ratel and Eland armoured cars. They are very well detailed for their size, with minimal or no mould lines and are well priced too. Their website is worth checking out.
Nice video showing some well painted models. I particularly like the T62. I notice that you have attached the turret MGs. I recall from your GHQ Combat Command set unboxing a couple of years ago that you said that you were not one of those people who attached turret MGs !!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm not certain I will be putting the MG on all these tanks, but thought I would try them on a few. I'm not sure how they will hold up to use on the table.
Heroics & Ros vehicles are a good compromise between cost and detail of the castings. I've been collecting them for over 40yrs. I have probably in excess of 2000 models - all the way from all of the WW2 armies, to NATO/Warsaw Pact.
I've been working on fleshing out my collection to try out Battlegroup NORTHAG. I've mostly gotten the Soviet forces put together, but still have a lot of work to do on the British forces. I've been distracted with some other projects (that happens to me a lot), but plan to get back to the British at some point. Once I have them painted, I'll work on some play through videos. I'm glad you enjoyed the Cold War Commander videos. I should revisit that rule set as well.
They are some extremely tiny tanks nice detail though
They are pretty small. I like this scale for gaming as it gives a better feel the scale of battles than some of the larger scales.
Nice work and good tip on getting a nice looking T62.
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked it.
Thanks for the review. They are nice looking.

I do not have any Scotia models. I might have to give them a try once I work through the backlog that I currently have. Thanks for the tip.

I agree. I have nowhere near your numbers in my collection, but It will continue to grow over time.
Thanks for watching.
Nice 1/285th scale miniatures for your games, just curious as to the size of your bases
The bases are 20mm x 40mm. They are metallic so I can use magnetic storage. Works great in my opinion. I get them from wargameaccessories.com/
@@HerooftheTable OK that makes sense now
Pleased to meet you. I am Japanese.
I play with JGSDF tanks(type74,90,10) and Russian tanks(T-62,64,72,80).
So when are you going to play some more Cold War modern? I really enjoyed your Cold War Commander play throughs.
