Nice to see you unboxing 6mm again. I only have GHQ, CinC and 2D6, although I take your point about viewing them on the table. A simple, but very nice paint job too!
Your comment the other day on my facebook post made me think about this. Since I'm working on some new models, I thought I would show them off. I've got several more Soviet models to show off as well as some British forces. Thanks for the kind words.
Stephen Hunt That hasn’t been a period that I’ve looked at doing. I like the Cold War period and plan to do some WW2 stuff as well. I’ll also be doing more sci-fi in 6mm at some point.
Would you do videos on the basic paint job that makes for the better game? I'm getting back into 6mm after 30 odd years and have chucked the enamel covered H&R micro armour I painted as a kid into strip but I'm not too sure what will work at this scale (for the time and effort put it) despite being competent at painting 28mm. I assume undercoat (grey for dark, white for dessert) base, drybrush and wash (or possibly the other way around) and pick out detail like tracks; done. With so little 6mm content and only some of that covering armour, any re starters tips would be really useful. Cheers.
Basic paint jobs are my go to for pretty much any scale. I did a basic guide for 6mm tanks a while ago that might be useful to you. Your assumption is correct (at least for my process); I prime the models (I normally use white or grey), apply the base coat, wash and then drybrush to highlight. For 6mm, I don't paint the tracks separately, but you can if you like. th-cam.com/video/DmABnRXNnGg/w-d-xo.html
Totally agree with H&R being the right spot for gaming. I've had issues with shipping (not their fault!) and their customer service has been excellent.

@@HerooftheTable That's great. I look forward to seeing them. Have you thought of doing models from the Arab- Israeli wars?

@@HerooftheTable Ok well keep the Cold War Vids coming as I enjoy them very much. Have you painted the 2D6 minis yet?
@@stephenhunt2806 I have not. They are on my list though.
They look awsome. Just made a big H&R cold war Soviets. Cant wait.
Thanks. You won't be disappointed. They make great stuff.
Nice unboxing,, H&R are great value and I agree about them looking great on the table.
Thanks!
Could you do a review on irregular miniatures 6mm moderns?
I currently don't own any models from Irregular miniatures. If I ever place an order with them, I'll be sure to post a video.
@@HerooftheTable thank you :)
On the GHQ/CinC SA13 is the missile launcher backwards? Its got a small round radar dish between the missile tubes.
oops. I'll have to fix that on the model. Thanks for noticing.
Yes, looks like it. The CinC just needs bending the other way, it would appear?
