Thanks so much! I was able to do the teardown, and just as you showed the main jet was clogged with green gunk. Cleared it, cleaned all of it with carb cleaner, reassembled it, and after burning out the initial carb cleaner, it runs like new! Didn't really want to have to get service or a new snowblower in this -5⁰ heavy weather in Chicago. Thanks so much!!

It's funny what gas will do when sitting for long periods of time. Great job again Robbie. Catch you on your next one. Have you received any snow yet ? We have got around 10 inches in the past two days and it's still snowing .

Thank you for the helpful video. I have the same exact model and have had for 10 years. I have not maintained it except for changing the oil. For some reasons, my only runs when I have it on choke but would stop running as soon as I move it off if choke. Do you know what the issue is? Thanks in advance.

Carburetor is gunked up. Needs to be cleaned.

@@small_engine_repair I purchased a new carburetor off of Amazon with spark plug and accessories for $18 and changed it and my snow blower worked perfectly. I will attempt to clean the old carburetor at a later time. Thanks again!

I have the exact model Toro and won't start either but when I press the prime button, gasoline squire off the primer hole. What's the problem there with it? Help...thanks

Think you should have double nutted studs and remove them to remove carb

Will draining the gas tank and then filling it up with Seafoam and gettign Seafoam into the carb clean out the gunk, or
does the carb need to be taken out to be cleaned

it's better to clean it by hands

I have tried seafoam a couple of times and it did not work. Take the carburetor apart and clean it.

These toros have one of the worse designs 😅 I had a few of those and the plastic removal is a mission.
Glad you didn’t have to buy a new carburetor! It looked in bad shape.
I also ended up repairing the other snowblower that I told you last time 👍

The previous owner tried cleaning the carburetor, it was a tecumseh carb and was missing a small piece that I didn’t notice at the beginning.
Just bought a new carb and job completed ✔️

The carburetor replacements are cheap. I’ve replaced mine 3 times in the 10-12 years I’ve owned it. This blower requires too much maintenance for my tastes.

It is this cheap gas with ethanol that is just wreaking havoc on everything. I let mine sit dry all summer.

I'm snowed in with no starter fluid. Can I use wd40 instead?

@small_engine_repair no I actually took the carb apart and cleaned and unclogged the jet. There was gunk in the fuel bowl too. I can't thank you enough for the video!
