I am getting back to running with Peg 39 and Mach 4 combo. Peg is very very durable, great grippy outsoles, stable, light and comfy but ride is not smooth, kinda classic feel. Mach 4 on the other hand, even lighter than Peg, very comfy, great fit but less durable, outsoles less grippy especially wouldn't use them on wet grass, but ride is so smooth and the Mach 4 encourages your to run bit faster but it's not for speed work though, no plate. Both models complement each other well imo. Good to rotate shoes, Peg 39 has 10mm drop, Mach 4 has 5mm. I 100% agree with the author of the video. If you're a beginner/going back to running, Peg 39 is probably the best choice to start with as it's most versatile daily trainer on the market rn. You go from there basically. If you want to take your running further, ideally you'll be working towards building a shoes rotation. That way you have specific shoe for a specific workout, running can get more exciting and fun, you're building really strong legs/feet that way too, as a result you minimize the risk of injuries.
This is one of the best daily trainers you can buy. Some past versions may have not met our expectations but all and all. This is a good shoe to have in the rotation. Great review Jordan 👍🏼. On the price, well, if you don’t want to pay full price, than wait for a sale or buy it hen a new version come out.
The Peg is a great training shoe. The only reason I can come up with that the Air Zoom Pegasus does yet have the Zoom X cushioning is that Nike is saving it for the shoe's 40th. Anniversary edition of the shoe in 2023. I would assume we will also see the cost of the shoe jump up to $140.
Glad you're enjoying them. I imagine they will hold the price at 130.00 and save zoomX for the more premium options. Peg Turbo Nature is likely our best chance to get zoomx in a pegasus.
I like Pegasus my 1st Peg was 35 a have couple of shoes. Till now i'm using it for my work. I do have Peg 36 also but not as comfortable with Peg 35. I skip 37 & 38. Then I recently bought two pair of Peg 39 definitely 💯 comfortable for me the cushion, lightweight and outsole has good traction. Great for daily use for work. 👍
I use these for work and as my running shoes now. I deliver packages so these are the perfect walking shoe bcuz it’s just so comfortable on my feet and has a decent amount of sole to take the impact of your steps, I didn’t like to use them as running shoes because they felt too soft but after breaking them in like 80miles they were nice, only thing is from the big toe area and where it connects to the foot is that the sole is minimal so I feel the ground more in that area which is not a good feeling sometimes
Great review all the points that I look for in a running shoe was taken into consideration. I'm a pegasus fan so I was a bit biased, but that's ok. Thanks, man. I'm pushing 430 miles in my pegasus 37. Need to get a new daily trainer.
@@JordanThomasmedia I agree. a friend of mine just did the 11th podium in the same trail running shoes (we're talking about 1800 miles). he lives in Indonesia where income isn't big so you have to get the most out of every shoe haha. Seeing him almost winning all these races goes to show that there's a lot more to a runner
Thank you I appreciate the review and really liked the shoe. I am a beginner to running and I want an adaptable shoe that looks good too. I fit into your recommendation but I have noticed I have slight overpranation. Are these shoes dangerous or bad for overpranation support and stability. My budget is around 60-75 usd (4-6k rs) and these are available in that price in india. One important factor is if the shoe can withstand light trail running in flat red sand but primarily road running. I looked at the Pegasus 39 shield and found it interesting. Please recommend a good shoe from your experience. I have wide toes and slightly wide feet.
Beautiful review Jordan..I noticed there was more room as usual with Nikes I have to go up a half a size. These were true to size for the most part but I wish the laces were longer to get that last lace through the ankle area. I don't understand why Nike makes small laces
You can wear these for walking. However, you may want to check out the nike react infinity flyknit 3. They are a bit wider as far as the fit and as well as the base.
The 39 to me is the best Peg to date coming from Peg 34 till now. Light and responsive with 2 air bags and with beautiful aesthetics. The 40 is a disappointment, going back to heavier with unnecessary stuffs on the upper.
@eub3429 no, it's not. At least based on my own experience. Get adidas boost, nimbus 25 or the Invincible for walking will be better for long day cushion

@eub3429 for running they're good 🥰, just not for walking, they feel flat compared to the other models for walking/long hour standing that I mentioned. Agree they looked sleek though.
Thanks for watching! Which category of Pegasus runner are you?
Have you tried the winflow 9? How does it compare to peg 39? Ty in advance
Last time I wore this shoe it was Pegasus 34 and I loved it, looking forward to getting these after watching your review!
That was a great version. I purchased 4 pairs over the course of that year. Hope you enjoy the 39s!
Did you end up buying them? If so, how did they do on feet?
@@birdy808 yup! 649 km with them already.

Great review. These have been sitting in my Nike app cart for a few weeks now. You’ve helped with my decision.
Glad I could help

Thanks man! The Peg is a long mileage shoe, so I can see why you would push it to 400+miles

Just got to the part where you suggest going half a size down. Thanks again.
Great review! Keep going 👍👍
Appreciate it! Thank you 🙌🏾
Hi, do you suggest sizing up in these running shoes? Many thanks. Great content. New here as of 2023.
Great review like always
I appreciate that!

I loved my Pegasus 39 FlyEase ! Very versatile shoe . Hopefully other shoes from Nike will also have a FlyEase version since day one
Glad you’re enjoying them!
You couldn't wait to try the new Pegasus 39. 👍🏽
That is a understatement! Favorite shoe to pick up each year 🙌🏾
Thanks for the good review. I just picked these up today for $80
Enjoy!
Great review in very simple words :)
Thank you kindly!
suggest between peg 39 , react infinity 3 or vomero 16 for 5km running plus fast walking 10k
What's different between pegasus 39 and pegasus 39 lace up.
the main difference is in the name. The lacing is the major difference.
More content your on a sweet spot
thank you
2022 is the year to buy a Pegasus again, 36 was the last great Pegasus.
glad you are up to grabbing a pair!
Got mine today
excellent!
Got the 39s at Nike outlet $80-20%-15% for only $55
Can you lift in this shoes?
Yes I use this shoe for that as well as run.
Its 2024 and i still trust it
Which Nike shoes is for overweight/obese people ?
Mainly for walking rather than running
You can wear these for walking. However, you may want to check out the nike react infinity flyknit 3. They are a bit wider as far as the fit and as well as the base.
What do you think is a good shoe for sprinting workouts.
Nike ZoomX Streakfly
I wanted to like the Pegasus 39 but no matter what I did my heel kept slipping on walks.
Try runners knot. Or lace lock technique
@@dealyah I returned them but thanks.
i have the same problem, heel always slipping out

Men lie, women lie, mid soles don’t 😂
That line was funny
Amazing shoe but i got the white ones, and got em all muddy, and it just doesnt wash out cuz the shoe is multi layered.
