Ima new runner and I’ve noticed for the value Nike is usually the best. That and adidas are always on sale… well here in a military town they’re always around 70~80 dollars
This is a great shoe. Definitely better than the 38's. Almost no break in period required. The extra zoom air unit is noticeable and makes the overall shoe more comfortable. I was between this and the Infinity React 3 and the IR is a very awkwardly made shoe. The PEG39 is just better in my opinion.
I personally like both, but for diffeerent reasons. The 38 is my more recovery/long run shoe (because no zoom unit in the heel, that way it feels more cushy), while I take the 39 for speed workouts as well. Its lighter and more responsive. Both are great imo!
Hey man, you should try the FlyEase version of the 39th Pegasus ! I love mine for running and for casual use it is a blast ! So easy to put it in and out and it is perfect to use at the gym if you going to take your shoes off when doing some leg exercises !
Pegasus lineup is definitely the consistent best all-rounder, that doesn't break the bank, from the nike lineup. I do want to ask is the nike pegasus turbo next nature coming next. I think it just got released with member access only in nike's site

Can you recommend any shoes best suited for stability around the ankle area as my feet don’t land flat and I run 10 miles a day , 5 days a week , I started off with a Pegasus 37 which was great but the low ankle support caused me to have Achilles tendinitis that rubber band feeling around the ankles and took me a month to recover. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

The Pegasus 39 and the Nike StreakFly is the closest thing we get to the Nike Pegasus Turbo, Nike did a tremendous job with the new Pegasus 39 for overall look and comfort , its beyond a steal even at full retail price.
I personally miss the widows peak, this overall shape looks less expensive and more like their budget models. Regardless the toe box space is better than the 37/38, I did not like those for running longer distances.

You can feel the zoom air unit if you run in them after a while. You begin to somehow pop when u step. I use mine for casual and short runs.

i was in the same dilemma as you. i went to a nike store and tried both and i felt that the peg39s were btter than the infinity 3s

Have you tried the Lav V2 with Fresh Foam X? They are made for tennis but they look so good. I haven't felt them on feet though.
