    First question Pete should always be, any Electro Harmonix pedals Lee?

  • @judosailor
    @judosailor 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, electro harmonics was the big winner in the last couple ones of these, but dropped the ball big-time today. Sounded pretty awful. Strymon however has been consistently in the top one or two, and that doesn’t even include all the extra features each of their pedals comes with. I’d say while they are the most expensive, they also do a pretty good job of justifying the expense. Today’s big winner, however, is the Behringer. Super affordable and sounded great.

  • @dancompton1728
    @dancompton1728 3 ปีที่แล้ว +340

    On the JHS 3 Chorus you guys had the vibrato setting on the whole time. The toggle switch in the up position is from vibrato, and down is chorus. That's why Pete thought it sounded weird. FYI.

    • @iceman10129
      @iceman10129 3 ปีที่แล้ว +65

      Thats JHS's fault. Don't have a switch that is blank in the up position and "vibe" in the down position. On a chorus pedal, blank should be chorus. More so dont name a setting the name of a completely different type of effect. So regardless of them getting it wrong, JHS got it wrong when they made the casing.

    It's been said before but it's pretty poor form that the JHS and the EHX got mixed up. They couldn't tell the knobs did nothing? Pete said the EHX almost sounded like a vibrato... maybe because he was actually playing the JHS in vibrato mode... *facepalm*. I'd love to see this re-done or corrected since those were two of the pedals I was most interested in. Happy to see the Behringer's Boss CH1 performed well though, for Boss' sake... ain't got no time for 'made in china' these days.

      That wil give you a Slap- or a Haas-Delay, depending on HOW short the shortest delay time of your pedal is; EXCEPT your pedal offers modulation, then you can do what you describe and basically use the modulation/chorus section of your delay pedal without (or at least very little) delay.
