- on this episode of my emotions running up and down. i scored a 2007 lexus es 350 117k miles for $5500 and thought ive made a great decision doing so but upon picking up the car, i realized the car need paint work on the trunk and roof. Great news is that i found a buyer 6 days later for the car and we came to a deal where i knocked off a few hundred and he'll take it as is! now on the to the next great deal if i can find any in this dry market...

One of the most reliable cars ever made. My mom's 2008 is still running great, with no issues.

Make sure there is a valid track record of the maintenance done (oil changes, repairs, etc.), and have a mechanic look it over. The basic stuff. @@gimmethat8362

I would buy it just because it has a beloved cassette deck. I have a 2008 with 165k miles. When it goes, I will be looking for another 2007 to 2009 so I can continue to play my mixed tapes!
are these cars reliable? I'm currently in the market for a new to me used car and these Lexus es350 are pretty affordable
Make sure the accelerator recall was performed on it. And if your car is accelerating out of control, put your foot on the brake and shift into neutral.
I have never seen a Lexus with that kind of paint/clearcoat damage.
I do really like the gold color though.
Mine is a 2007 ES350 dark grey with 64k miles on it, love the car.
Looks like you did alright given the paint and the small dent on the wheel well.
Looked like the bumper or fender was a little off color think the trunk and bumper were replaced. Must have been rear end or backed into something
Have one got it with 80 now is 135 drives smooth no problem nice and reliable

Now 3 years later just had to put a alt,batt,1 coil pack.Now it has 119000.
How much did all that you mentioned. Alternator batt, 1 coil cost you? Thinking of buying one with 113 K miles.
I am looking at one this week. The clearcoat is damaged on the trunk deck and roof because it was owned in the tropics, but it only had 53,000 miles on the odometer and it's just $5995.
It's at a high end dealership with 200k cars and G series Mercedes, that wants it off the lot. I'll be doing a carfax and a good going over but I think it's legit. The passenger rear upholstery appears to be damaged from a child seat but the dash and carpets etc look great. It's got the black interior so if the dash was going to crack it should have considering the car is black and the clearcoat is in rough shape on two panels, and the hood is not perfect either, but it isn't on my Z-71 either!
Clearcoat must not handle the elements well because I have seen clearcoat repair tutorials on here, and I have noticed the Lexus grille badge on a few of them.
I live in Florida and regardless of car washes and waxing the body. My roof and trunk lid are peeling slowly. I guess it's inevitable. Eventually I'm going to get the roof painted black so I'm not too concerned.

I ended up buying a 2008 Black Cadillac originally from West Palm Beach, and the paint is beautiful. Who'll figure?
The bumper paint is cheap to fix if you find a local painter $150 to make it look good.
Can sell from $6400 to $7200 as is. It has the bullet proof 2GR-FE engine with low miles so, just broke in brother. Great buy at that price!
Nope. With the pandemic used car market this car can easily go for several thousands higher. Don't sell yourself short.

Nice car. Matching gold or silver most difficult to match. Looks like rear bumper cover was already painted doesnt match LR fender. Great car if your not picky...basic transportation.. good job on the sale

Got mine last year with 84 000km for 7000CAD so I'm not really sure if you'll make a big profit out of it... they sell for 5000-10 000CAD over here

yes only cause i'm more familiar with these cars but i do want to expand to american and euro later on down the road.

Apparently the clearcoat is not holding up in the elements.

I seen a 124k sitting on a lot for $7300. I would squeeze out two to three hundred dollars more. Anything above will likely attract too many window shoppers.

It’s solid car. ES 350 from 2007 to 2012 are proven beasts.
You bought it for a fair price, especially with the low mileage (less than 120k). If you had to fix the cosmetic issues (metal dent by the edge of the rear number and spray job) it had, it would have cost you at least $1500.
Whoever buys it afterwards for between $8000 and $9000 would have still got a good deal, and you would have made your profit.

Best buys are a GS. Usually the 2008+ GS350 if you can find one in great shape. I've got 2 for 6500 a piece. One got totalled so bought another. Nothing competes for the price. Reliability, 300+HP. Loaded with all features and it's look has aged extremely well. Also, it's RWD. Hehe.

ES better ride, roomier, smoother, quieter and just more classy, period. If you live in any areas with rain or snow, which would be most of the country, FWD is far better than RWD.....Winner: ES
@@ITILII they also have AWD models. I like the way a RWD car feels. I prefer the Push feel of the Pull feel. So best is all subjective. The ES is more convenient for most people. Most people didn’t care about how a car feels.
With that said. My next car will be the new ES. Gorgeous car and the GS line has stopped. I’m getting the Hybrid model as well. So I’ll see how the FWD vibes go again.

Melted from sun in the window, same issue they fixed with the dash. Never know though, Lexus is pretty good at taking care of melted plastic even on older resales. I wouldn't put it past them to throw a new steering wheel in.

Tire pressure. Just bought the same car and have the same light on. And always had the same light on with my previous car which was a Toyota. Perhaps it's a Toyota thing.

I got a 2006 ES350 for $5000 with 171,000 miles on it and thought I had a bargain! Actually, I am about to get a 2011 ES350 top of the line, Lexus certified, with 56,000 miles on it for $17,000. Is this a good deal?

@@kellyalmanzar6023 Well, I bought it from the authorized Lexus dealer, which got it as a trade-in. I guess the word I should have used is a dealer-inspected car. They did this 100-plus point inspection and that was the offer, which I took. So far, so great!
@@TariqAbdul12 The 2006 one was bought directly from the only one original owner (my neighbor). The other was from San Juan (Puerto Rico) only authorized Lexus dealer.

It's use Camry V6 parts, body work will be expensive as the paint is high quality.
No. Only thing that gets costly is paying for premium gas at the pump which is required for this car.

@@jfros9794 just make sure the one you want has no open recalls on it. Make sure your dash is in good condition. Most of them were replaced on recall. Look up the melting dashboard issues with Lexus vehicles.
