When you compare this stunning Lexus with it’s Camry cousin it’s sort of like comparing a decent high school or college player with his cousin who’s an NBA star. Sure you can see some similarities, but the differences are striking. This car the front grill and side lines alone look amazing. Black is definitely the right luxury color for this car. And for a 2009 the headlights look unblemished basically new. I’ve heard waxing them as you wax the rest of your car monthly keeps them protected. Great car and nice effort on your video.

Hmmm I can’t particularly say as I’m not too familiar with the prices in the US, but generally, you can always try to haggle down the prices for these if just like the car I reviewed, it doesn’t have the premium package with Sat Nav, and Mark Levinson audio. I don’t think you can haggle down that much based on mileage unless it’s ridiculously high as most of these last over hundreds of thousands of miles. Cheers. As this is based on the Camry, reliability and maintenance should be very minimal. As mentioned this car does not have a single thing wrong with it despite its age
@@bugsy101073 Here in the Philippines we have really small roads, so to give you an idea, the average here is around 10K Km per year. Well the previous owner had a lot of cars. Like, a lot hahaha so this was rarely used. In fact I have another friend who has a 2004 Lexus LS with only 2200Km. Review of that to follow ;)
Too bad Lexus PH still doesn't offer the ES300h. In theory the TRAIN Law should now make it more feasible to import. Not even the Camry here is offered in hybrid. The updated 2021 model now has lithium-ion batteries instead of nickel-hydride in the outgoing model, which frees up more space in the trunk.
Personally I would stay away from hybrid vehicles. We've had the North American Camry Hybrid (same XV40 body as this. 2007 model), and when the battery went bad, it was extremely expensive to fix. My friend's Lexus CT200h is currently inoperable too for the same reasons. I think there's a big community advocating Lexus for it's reliability, but there is a general consensus to stay away from Lexuses (and Toyotas) which have hybrid powertrains. Also to add, the hybrid system that Toyota/Lexus employs does not support running on gasoline alone, so once the hybrid system goes bad, unlike some makes, the car just becomes a big expensive paperweight on wheels :(( This reason also explains why hybrid cars from Mercedes and Lexus, for example, on the used market are usually cheaper than their non-hybrid counterparts.
@@KyleLiongCars I see. So the shift to lithium-ion batteries might compromise the purported reliability of Toyota and Lexus hybrids in the long term even more. As it is said that nickel metal-hydride batteries are longer lasting, and this was the reason why Toyota and Lexus still sticked with the older battery for some time until today as they didn't want to compromise reliability. Unlike Hyundai-Kia, which used lithium-ion batteries early on. Or alternatively, while I'm not an electrical or electronics engineer, I think the shift to lithium-ion is driven by supply chain reasons as they are now more readily available. So in theory, they should be easier to replace.
No doubt that since the XV40, the understanding of the science behind hybrid and electric cars have greatly improved, and surely, costs and availability for replacements are not as bad as before, but that still does not detract from the fact that it’s a rather young science compared to internal combustion engines, which means that reliability, and longevity will still be a concern. 90s and even 80s or older Toyotas still run well and are abundantly seen on the road today as by the 80s and 90s, the internal combustion tech was already a few decades old. Electric vehicle technology however has only been around for just over a decade in widespread use. Besides, the electric motor is just another additional part that can go wrong, and will go wrong.
Hey man looking at a 2007 with 175,000 miles. I got a pre purchase inspection and unfortunately it needs about $2500 in repairs. There is a timing chain rattle along with a power steering hose that needs to be changed. Do you think it is worth if i can get it at $5000. The interior and exterior are super clean.
There are a lot of direct grey market imports here from the US. This particular one is sold from a local Lexus dealer though. Probably a Canadian spec given the speedometer

Im thinking about buying a 09 lexus es 350 with 53,000 miles from a private party, they're asking for $13,000 it's clean in good condition. Is this a good price if not how much lower should I get the asking price?
Not too sure about prices there in the US. From what I know it’s way lower there than in the Philippines. $13,000 is roughly what I paid for mine though over here. I expect a car in similar condition to be closer to half the price I paid for, in the US.
Hmmm I can’t really say as prices are very different here where I live. For reference, a 2009-2010 model here with anywhere between 50-80K Km will cost around 600K - 800K Philippine Pesos. Do note that cars are generally way more expensive here both new and used, easily at least double than that in let’s say the US or Canada. Also, mileage of cars here are very much lower since we have extremely small roads. A car can already be considered “high mileage” for us once it reaches around 90K - 100K Km
im buying a remarkably clean single-owner 07 with 194k miles tomorrow for 5500 (hopefully i can get the seller down to 5k). Do you think it's still a good deal considering the miles? great review, by the way
Well unfortunately I can’t really say since I’m only familiar with prices here in our country which are at least 2x more than prices in North America so to me, $5500 is a steal of a lifetime haha! What I can say though is that these last forever so 194K miles is a walk in the park. It will do way more than that with proper maintenance: Good luck on your purchase!! Update us here :)

Not too sure about prices there in the US. From what I know it’s way lower there than in the Philippines. $13,000 is roughly what I paid for mine though over here. I expect a car in similar condition to be closer to half the price I paid for, in the US.
Do you use premium or unleaded.gas
This needs premium. The ones from 2010 I think or 2011 could use regular unleaded already.
@@KyleLiongCars ok thanks
You’re welcome
Owner wants to sell a 2010 with 280.000 miles for 5000 is that a good price or two much.
It will do way more than that with proper maintenance:
Good luck on your purchase!! Update us here :)
when was the first year this model came out?
2007 model year but in reality, 2006
Astig na review pare 👍
Salamat bossing
Parang Doug Demuro ang review! Good job
Thanks
Sir good see this review of lexus es350.
Isa sa list ko ito na nagustuhan.
Either camry, accord or itong es350 2009.
Btw, dito po ako sir sa UAE.
Ang hindi ko lang alam kung medyo pricy ba mga parts netong es350 compare sa camry & accord 2009.
I hope u can give me some ideas sir.
Thank you in advance.
i saw u did the vx200 revo. but do they have vx240?
There is a VX240 diesel but I haven’t seen one myself
@@KyleLiongCars oh thanks for answering! I immediately subbed u when u did the revo review. We only have the dlx version tho. But.. Yes thanks for answering! 😁
No problem!! Hope your Revo is still serving you well. Thanks for the support
going to get one soon , maybe in one month
Yes they’re great cars
Can a 200m/6’7 guy drive a 08-10 ES 350 comfortably ?
You might want a slightly bigger car haha
Hey, aren't you the kid who played opposite Clint Eastwood in the movie Grand Torino?
Bruh what hahaha
Is this a Korean version?
Philippine version
So my question is what’s the difference between this and the Avalon .
Avalon is longer and bigger
That car will outlast the S-class without a second thought. Toyota did the most obvious thing with it luxury Lexus brand, and put their industry best Toyota engines in the Lexus to give it bullet proof reliability.
Despite being an S Class fan, I gotta agree with you on that
I don’t think this generation shares the same platform with camry
It does
Liked and subbed
Thank you
Is it just me or does that steering wheel look similar to mercedes' steering wheels of that era.
Yup. Similar to the ones used in the R171 and the latter W203s
The Camry SE 2009 is slightly better to drive . The ES is luxury the Camry SE is sport edition so the suspension is tuned differently
Kinda different from the Camry, yes
Does this car have the SOS feature?
Nope
Kyle Liong, how much did you buy this car for?
Philippines
Got it for around $10K
@@KyleLiongCars When did you buy it?
Sometime around when the video was posted
what % tints are those?
Not sure, sorry
Hi Kyle, how much can I buy this from you? I need it for my mum
Hi sorry but I’ve already sold this. My friend’s 2013 ES is for sale though. You might be interested in it. I have a video on it as well on my channel :)
@@KyleLiongCars that will be great. I’ll check look for it
You sold me on this car
I did a good job then, I guess hahaha
I love a fancy Camry! Proud Lexus owner here and I can say that nothing beats the quality build and long term performance of my 05 Lexus ES330!!! I have only good things to say about the car and my friends
Yes I agree!!
A 2008 lexus es 350 is not based on a camry! It is based on an avalon. An es 300 or es 330 is based on a camry
It is
Am gonna get it soon
Go
Pa request po ng Ford Expedition 2003
Kung may magpapahiram po hehe
This car is definitely not a camry. If you think so go to any dealership and see which one costs more? It's probably a reason for that. Nothing wrong with a camry but it's just not a Lexus.
It’s both a yes and no
🔥
👌🏻
Definitely is a “melting dash” the dash in mine is just a giant piece of bubble gum at this point 😂
They had a recall for it at one point
I love this car👍(lexus)
Same
Hello I love the way you reviewed this vehicle. Probably the best review I've seen for a lexus Es350 2009 model.
I have one of these, the exact model but the display monitor at the centre is configured in Japanese I think.
Could you help recommend how I can configure this to ENGLISH.
I'm Nigerian 🇳🇬
I'll appreciate your feedback, thank you!
Thanks! Sorry though not sure if it’s configurable
Owned Jags that arent as smooth as my 2007 ES 350.
