I’ve missed Amy Grant for years. I’m almost 84 and just fell in love with her singing again.
What other singers do you like? You must know some of the band singers like Helen Forrest or Doris Day even if they were slightly before your time. I like Bobby Darin and Dean Martin and the afore-mentioned. There were some great singers later on like Englebert. You know a singer I have come to appreciate since my mom discovered him is Jose Jose.

Beautiful song! One of my favorites by Amy&Vince. Their voices complement one another’s so well. They’re such a lovely couple and their deep love shows. They are truly meant to be together.
Amy tried so hard to make it work with Gary, but he made the choice of drugs, and his “drug life”- putting that first over Amy and their kids. I know how how that is. I forgave my ex repeatedly until finally there was nothing left. I’m grateful that God kept my children and I safe, as He did with Amy and her children. We finally could forgive our ex’s abuse, from a distance. To find happiness and love again is an amazing blessing! 🙏🏼🕊🙏🏼
First of your assuming, Gary was a born again Christian and, no, wasn’t abusing drugs and, no, he wasn’t abusing her and her children or anything like that, stop assuming and, talking about things you don’t know! I hadn't heard this in decades and then it was on the radio as I was driving and I thought it was an early 70s soul thing - y'know, like I knew it and then the tag line came on and I appreciated the song in a way I just didn't at the time: This is a Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell style song. Those vibes.
I listened to this song over and over -- and believed it -- when my true love and I were separated. It gave me hope because I knew we were meant to be together. And now we are, and it's so good.

I’ve always loved this song and the album it came from since it came out in the 90s. I would listen to it all the time with my aunt. She passed away a week ago and I have been listening to this song on repeat and remembering the wonderful memories :).

I was listening to 'Baby baby' on spotify and this song came on after. I thought wow what a beautifully passionate song and i thought she was singing with black soul artist and so i looked up the video and then read all these comments as i did not know about their love story since I was in my early teens when this all happened. It reminds me of my parents' as the background was similar but my mom suffered constant DV from her 1st husband (they had 4 children) and my dad's 1st wife had her own life (they had 4 children too) but I am sure they were all hurt. I was their miracle baby that minimally bridged these families though my existence was resented by most of my siblings from my father's 1st marriage which was awful. All to say, we don't know what happens and we can fall in love at anytime and yes vows should be honored by all not just by one party. My parents married their 1st spouses young and then found each other in their 30s (mom) and 40s (dad) while married which I think is a bit similar to these artists. My husband and I met in our 30s and it's been incredible and though I would've loved to have met him earlier we probably wouldn't have made it then knowing our views at the time. I wish you all the best and hope you feel loved and love the way you need to be intensely.
