This song always takes me right back to the 90's. Beautiful life, no mobile phones, no social media, no Facebook, just life the way it was always meant to me. Real relationships, real friends, real face to face in person conversations.
Definitely me! I watched these two grow up. They are about the same age as my two daughters. The wonderful love of their friendship really touches my heart.
When I quit crying I will comment on these songs. Boy this really smacked me in the face and told me I need to rearrange my life. I know my Lord and Savior sent me this song today to listen to while I make major decisions in my life. Thank you Michael and Amt got sharing these precious songs and your voices with me. I so needed them in my life right now. God bless you both.
It's about 30 years ago, when I gave my life to Jesus. I went away. But over these past days I've returned. And this song did exactly what you've written Teresa. I was crying and was so emotionally touched by that Friends-song.
Christ died for our sins! Are you saved in the Lord Jesus Christ? Your good works doesn't pay for your bad works, you need a 'payment' for your sins and that is Jesus Christ. You cannot do it alone, Jesus Christ paid it all for you, the only thing you have to do is 'believe' in what He did for you on the cross of Calvary. Jesus Christ is the only cure for sin, so please believe in what He did, His death, burial and resurrection - found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, saves lost souls when you truly believe from your heart. Ephesians 1:13, saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, there is no other way. Please get saved now, time is running out!! Eph. 2:8-9 and Titus 3:5
I saw them together (and Gary Chapman, of course) during her Lead Me On tour in Dallas at the now demolished Reunion Arena. The crowd looked about like this one: all the 80's hairstyles and 80' clothes. Watching this was like going back in time. I still think that it is a shame how the Christian music community turned on her and she was "banned" from Christian radio. When our major Christian station in the Fort Worth/Dallas area quit playing her music all of my friends quit tuning in to them. We all called and complained. Michael W. Smith was one that didn't desert her. He lived up to their song "Friends".
We just saw Michael W Smith sing this song in concert at Silver Dollar City, Branson Missouri, June 3, 2023. Michael is 65 years old! Everyone in the audience is about the same! The whole audience stood up when Michael came out on the stage and then the whole audience sat down for the rest of the concert, including Michael at the piano! Us Senior Citizens can only stand up for so long 😂
wow!!!!! How beautiful!!! To see how young they were and they're still amazing friends. I have someone in my life like her. Even though we are both married and nothing has ever happened sexually between us we are amazing friends like Amy and Michael. Great feeling. This has to be the best version I have seen out of the dozen or so I have seen of them singing it.
I never really listened closely to the lyrics of this song and took them to heart, I lost my husband 2 and half years ago and this song now gives me goose bumps, awe some song
Michael is probably the greatest at least known musician in contemporary Christian music history. He has been so prolific and anointed. Give Glory to God.
Great music! from early 80's... I've been a fan of Amy and Michael W. from their early days. First saw Amy at a concert at Mississippi College. Just her and a guitar. Incredible. Thanks for posting this great quality video!
Although I did get a chance to see Michael W. Smith in concert at the Kentucky State Fair in 1997, I wish I had stayed for it to the end, it would have been a very moving experience for me.
I am a musician myself and that Michael and Amy were always a cut above the majority of secular artists in the worldly realm. Although Michael and Amy were Christian artists they were also artists that were Christians too. Michael wrote most of his songs and Amy just fit in perfectly, Such a musical match made in heaven. God Bless both of you!
What great times in those early-mid 80s with Amy, Michael W Smith, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Dave and Dan Huff, Chris Rodriguez, Gary Chapman ++ and the production team Blanton Harrell and Brown Bannister could do no wrong. Talent and soul aligned for CCMs greatest era. I miss it so much.
This is the last good bye my dear friend... we have to move on with our lives for our good. Our friendship will still be intact. Be safe ... live your life to the fullest! 😉🙏🏼💔🦋🎼 7/27/2020
Wow, I'll bet I have not heard "Find a Way" in 15 years or more (Maybe not since I saw her two nights in Ft Worth in 2006 that became her live album and video, if she sang it that night). And yet I just sang along with probably 90% of the lyrics. Good songs stick with you.
reminds me of going on missions trips in high school and college, and saying goodbye to the people that we ministered to as well as those who ministered to us.
It sure is a beautiful song. I used to listen to it every day when I was home and my husband worked. I was very sick at the time. God got me through. I love myself and God. I don't mean to sound shallow, but I am resting.
Just glad my phone led to this classic. Fantastic really - what a super moment, memorable tracks. I've no idea of this particular concert, hopefully you could inform me. Much thanks! Pastor Shem Pillay
God is love that is why I forgive you and wish to put this behind me I do not desire to be on the side of the source of hate and bitterness. Then we all lose we are not victims ... we are on God’s team. 2/16/2021
Friends - this song will always be Amy and Smitty’s song. Find A Way was a breakout song for Amy. I was in high school when it came out. In my 50’s now and I still listen to it. It will always stand the test of time.
I saw Amy at the Universal amphitheater long ago. She introduced Michael as second on the bill she helped him to get his start. Where have the years gone?
Anyone want to guess what year this video was recorded? . Michael W Smith looked and sounded so different then, but Amy looks about the same, just younger. I love both these duets. Friends Are Friends Forever and Love Will Find A Way. These songs remind me tha our best Friend is Jesus, so I am going to sing sometime today, "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" ...
Michael's playing a yamaha DX1. DX7's were changing the musical world but that was the flagship of the line. There's a GS2 in the background, which was the previous generation of the same idea. Digital/MIDI were the new buzzwords.
Hmm... Good catch. He switched to Korg I guess ~1990, the 01/W Pro... I actually got a Korg Trinity in 1997. I think Michael switched back to Yamaha about this time or 2000.
This must have been the Unguarded tour. It was Age to Age, Straight Ahead and then Unguarded. Love Will Find a Way is from Unguarded I believe. Michaels haircut looks like The Big Picture. '86-'87
This was Michael's tour; you're right though, about the years. Gary and Amy made guest appearances. They probably didn't do "Love Will Find a Way" on tour except that night.
still listening guys in 2024

Great song to listen over and over
Beautiful song and the performers as well.

This song is ever green. So pure and so inspired! I love Michael and Amy. They've been such a blessing over the years
So true.
@gregnormal07 yes I have been a fan for a long time
He wrote this song for a friend of his who died from overdose. And that is what made him come clean.
Can I ask. How did you find that out?
We just saw Michael W Smith sing this song in concert at Silver Dollar City, Branson Missouri, June 3, 2023. Michael is 65 years old! Everyone in the audience is about the same! Praying for your strength in our Lord to increase, as you continue to heal…

Why they did not marry each other?
I cry every time I hear this song
It is so very true and touched my heart

Still can't stop singing along, with a smile remembering GOOD times!!!! These song with these two artists will never grow cold
Michael is a musical GENIUS, but composing is his strong side. Amy has an amazing voice. This was GREAT! What a SONG!!!
Takes me back to when I was a new believer in the early 80's. Love them both and their music. God bless you both.
Lauren D. Tamayo amen

That enterance on stage by Amy is so wonderful very iconic
Aah, early Amy and Michael in the 80's. Soooo good!
I’m in no way a Christian or even religious but I have a love for Amy and her music that I can’t understand. I love her with all my heart
¡Qué lindo recuerdo! Bendiciones desde Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, junio 2021

Really? A DX1?? I thought those were ultra-rare, even back in the day. Could it be a DX-5?
@@bricago2302 Yeah, the DX1's were out of reach for most musicians but that's what he's playing. Maybe he had a deal with Yamaha.
❤ Awesome
Michael and amy is AN AMAZING definition of FRIENDS.
Love this!!! God given Talent
Still listening in 2022!!
Wow. Amazing song, amazing memories. I am so happy I know Jesus as my Savior.
Love these two gorgeous people singing together
Amo ouvir Amy Grant ela é maracilhosa, talentosa e simples...
This brings back so many memories when I was in youth group/choir at FBC Palacios TX Also my birthday
My husband and I love Michael W Smith his songs are great!
This song is one of my best
The way Amy gets close to Michael 1:07. I don’t think it’s appropriate for a married woman to get that close to a man that’s not even her husband.
Agree 100%
Paying no attention to her husband on stage.
Freaking get real people! They were good friends and nothing more... like family. Geez!
Get your minds out of the gutter.
❤Peoples specials God put in my life, thank so much Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith, this praise is simple wonderful.🙏🏻My gratitude. F O R E V E R
I love this song so much.
OMG why did we ever think our clothes and hair in the 80's was cool?
Yes! Amazing!
A touching video. Wiping a few tears.
Thanks Psalm 91&18
Excellent iconic DX electric piano.
Muito bom , o melhor da música gospel de todos os tempos, 🙏
The guy in red at he back is Gary Chapman, Amy's husband.
Yes, they were a good trio for a bit in the 80s. Gary wrote a great song from Amy's Age to Age: Father's Eyes.
I thought he looked familiar
This must have been the Unguarded tour. It was Age to Age, Straight Ahead and then Unguarded. Love Will Find a Way is from Unguarded I believe. Michaels haircut looks like The Big Picture. '86-'87

I love this song i have 1 very special friend i will keep forevermore
Two of my 80s favorites and now too still. 🙏😇🫂✨
long long ago but still a blessing song.
Hermosa cancion Michael W. Smith y linda interpretacion de Amy Grant
I get chills when Amy walks out.
Even after all these years my heart skips a beat when I see and hear Amy. I honestly believe she is my soul mate.
So in my library at 16. A friend not say Never. You bet. Father's Hands, important.
Always listening to them both as they are still touring together
MWS looks like Screech back then.
Did they kiss on the lips???🤔
This is so amazing…….my heart needed this. ❤. Just lost my dad and lost my brother 2 years ago. Thank you Michael and Amy.
I was a little boy when these songs came out and I thought Amy Grant was one of the prettiest women I'd ever seen.
Great job Michael!!!
Thanks Psalm 139&34
Que hermosa canción. Hace muchos años no la escuchaba
