Really enjoyed this interview. I used to work for CCM magazine for over 10 years and had many interactions with Amy. She is such a warm, genuine, lovely human. Also knew Gary Chapman as he did a radio show for us. After Amy and Gary divorced, and I learned Amy and Vince were dating, I was thrilled. On a few occasions I’ve spoken to Vince, and he is very similar to Amy. He is warm, kind and genuine. After Amy and Vince married, I ran into Vince and Richard Marx before a concert in Palm Springs. I told Vince I was so happy him and Amy married. Vince responded, you mean you aren’t going to yell at me for ruining Amy like most people do? I told him maybe Amy needed ruining as I think he (Vince) was the best thing that could have happened to her. (Vince did not ruin Amy, he gave her the joy and support to thrive.) They are a perfect pairing. And I still stand by that. This interview illustrates the ease in which they coexist to this day. People can be critics but know nothing about peoples lives. Amy is a lovely Godly woman, and God gave her a loving Godly man in Vince Gill. That fact fills my heart with joy and peace knowing miracles like this exist and are lived out each day. Keep loving and living Amy and Vince! Show the world how it’s done. ❤❤
Beautiful voices , beautiful couple. Hearing their early music brings me back to my childhood listening with my grand parents that are no longer here with us, so their music brings me back to loving memories and puts a smile on my heart ❤ God bless this power house team, pray we all find a love like theirs🙏
Amy Grant has always been my all time favorite singer. I like Vince a lot too. I really enjoy their music. No matter what happened, that is history. They are only human. We all need forgiveness, and we need to forgive others as well. It's amazing how Amy revived from the bike accident. Happy belated birthday to Amy. My youngest son had a birthday on Monday as well. May God bless Amy and Vince.
What a wonderful couple! They both are legends. I absolutely love your Christmas albums Amy and love the romantic songs you sing Vince. You both are amazing!
I used to talk with their daughter in comments on another site. That was fun. I have been a fan of both Vince and Amy , at different times before they got together, Vince longer though. What a great collaboration both in music, and in life. I
I think they’re lovely. I’m glad they’re still together and still going strong. Amy has been through a lot with the Christian community and that environment.
My very best to both of you! You go together like peanut butter & jelly! I wish each of you continued success and much happiness. Happy Holidays! Love, Anita🙂❤🎄
I’ve never been a fan of country music-ever. That being said I’ve been a fan of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton & these two forever. Some people just transcend genre.
I grew up listening to Amy Grant music. She happened to be one of the few Christian singers in the industry that wrote and sounded like a professional. I knew Gary Chapman struggled with addition and sadly had several marriages, but love is a choice and for a Christ follower is based upon 1 Corinthians 13. Many years later I tried reading Amy’s book and she didn’t sound like a Christian and neither did her relationship with Vince Gill. This interview is the same. She used so many terms and expressions that the world uses but not God. Yes, it’s nice to her them honoring their marriage and each other, but my concern would be Amy’s faithfulness to God, and His son the savior of the world.
It’s just so beautiful when two people abandon their original marriage vows to go start a new life with someone else. As long as they are happy, who cares about the kids and other spouses 🙄
Most of us have experienced chemistry with someone who is married. But that is something there’s an easy answer to and it’s wrong. Don’t do it. Sandy Patti’s career was cut short. Both of your lives might have been much bigger and a bigger blessing to more people than it is today. Many people don’t even know your names.
I’ve been a fan of Amy’s since the early 80s and Vince’s since the late 90s. I asked a Christian Bookstore owner, “How are you so sure they cheated? Were you watching? It’s a bad move to refuse to sell Amy Grant’s music due to rumors.” I was ‘invited’ to no longer shop there.
The truth hurts some people, however that was very cruel to tell you that you are no longer allowed in the bookstore ! Karma cuts deep and does not skip anyone. I know I am paying for everything now .
what i ake from this is it doesn't matter what your marriage vows ARE.. just go with what you FEEL? Weird since Grant is a "christian".. very odd to me to hear her say that basically they couldn't stop what the "universe was orchestrating"
I guess it would be better for both of them to just stay w/ their original spouses even though they would've been loveless marriages?🙄 BS I know I wouldn't want to stay married to someone who didn't love me for the sake of propriety.
Her husband abused drugs, had affairs, etc. long before she divorced him. He went on to do the same thing in another marriage, but I believe I’ve read he finally cleaned up his act. But he was never as popular or got as much air play as Amy.

I think Amy gave Gary Chapman multiple chances to get clean from drugs but she could not take it anymore.
Love doesn’t always pick the appropriate moment but it always will endure
Omg I love them!! They are perfect soul mates and talented ones at that. God Bless them with many more years together!!
Vince & Amy are lovely and genius-talented people, both individually and as a couple. Best wishes to you and your family this holiday season. 💕🙏🏼😃🎄

Beautiful interview. They were meant to be together.
My favorite childhood singing couples of all time ❤😊😊😊
Loved you both before and still after. Ignore the haters here. Divorce isn’t good…but it’s not the unpardonable sin. Move iron people
I just love watching the video of them singing House of Love. You could feel the sparks!!

Their respective marriages were over when they chose to get together. Good for them.
They're such a lovely couple! I had no idea that Vince had written 'Whenever You Come Around' for Amy! ♥👩❤️💋👨♥
My very best to both of you! You go together like peanut butter & jelly! I wish each of you continued success and much happiness. Happy Holidays! Love, Anita🙂❤🎄
The secret to a long marriage is good communication.
Thongs change scent from one end to the other. Knowledge is power. God bless
Love ❤️ these two so very much. I also love ❤️ Jenny.
Amy Grant is a national treasure. Protect her at all costs! ❤️
I’ve never been a fan of country music-ever. That being said I’ve been a fan of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton & these two forever. Some people just transcend genre.
the song house of love one of my favourites the power and soul when they sing pure magic such a beautiful couple
You are an amazing couple. God had a hand in your love story. Gave doctors the knowledge how to help Amy. God is amazing. ❤
Your “soulmate” isn’t married to someone else. Period.
Interesting knowledge about everyone everywhere you have there
I love them both
Their story would make for a great movie. I’m sure they have no interest in that now, but maybe someday.
People have always judged them...guess what people you weren't there and don't know the whole story. Mind your business 🎉🎉🎉

Wrong. But thanks for playing.
@@kathykb8123 conservativemama is being sarcastic... At least that's how her comment reads...🙄
@@kathykb8123 It's called sarcasm 😉 Thanks for playing!!
@@sandralyn5869 You think I don't know that?
You're still wrong.
@kathykb8123 so marriage vows are to be taken lightly and thrown away if someone else comes along. Best not get married with that attitude.

Exactly. If the world is applauding your decision, it’s a good sign you’ve chosen wrong.
Lol. You're funny.
Most of us aren’t married to a jealous, emotionally abusive addict ….
Fell in love with Amy on baby, baby!
I’ve been a fan of Amy’s since the early 80s and Vince’s since the late 90s.

No rumor, her own admission. Do your homework.
The truth hurts some people, however that was very cruel to tell you that you are no longer allowed in the bookstore ! Karma cuts deep and does not skip anyone. I know I am paying for everything now .
So, they definitely cheated, but have been together a very long time.
She did cheat. So did he.
Very good interview. Vince, if you go on the carnivore way of eating you will feel much better
Longer than 25 years isn't it?!
A celebration of adultery wow
Weren’t they married to other people when they ‘found love’? 😳😳😳😳😳
I think they kind of admitted that they were wrong in starting their relationship. The ultimate losers were all the children.
what i ake from this is it doesn't matter what your marriage vows ARE.. just go with what you FEEL?
Weird since Grant is a "christian"..
very odd to me to hear her say that basically they couldn't stop what the "universe was orchestrating"
Isn’t it weird? It’s almost as if she’s not…
These fools cheated on their spouses. They deserve each other.
I hate the song House of Love. It was the beginning of Amy and Vince leaving their spouses for each other. They were both homewreckers. Sad.
I guess it would be better for both of them to just stay w/ their original spouses even though they would've been loveless marriages?🙄 BS I know I wouldn't want to stay married to someone who didn't love me for the sake of propriety.
Were you there to witness the whole thing?
I didn't think so.
They were not having an affair, so don't be so judgemental.
Life is too short to be in an unhappy marriage. I think their almost 25 years says alot. ❤
Her husband abused drugs, had affairs, etc. long before she divorced him. He went on to do the same thing in another marriage, but I believe I’ve read he finally cleaned up his act. But he was never as popular or got as much air play as Amy.
"The universe"? Why not God?
Perhaps she is aware God created the universe
Maybe that’s a more accurate description
For a self professed Christian girl she should refer to God not the universe.
Who gives a tinker's...
