Are you buying a Pro Max switch, if so which one? I purchased the 16 port Pro Max. Of all my UniFi switches, t's definitely my favorite and probably the most use-case versatile. For now, I've pimped it with some rubber feet from Amazon and have it camping out on my desktop.
@@unknownxy8026 No. I purchased the non-POE version, as I already have several POE switches running cameras, APs, and IP phones. The non-POE version has a much smaller power supply, making it less hassle. The POE version has a major brick, as it must also supply the POE power in addition to the switch itself.
I love my max 16 POE, I plan on replacing my standard 24 POE with another Max 16 non POE. The max 16 POE for my home is enough for everything that we run.
Thank you for your video! I really appreciated your method of evaluating the switches. I'm curious on your opinion. I currently have a USW 48 POE 500W, and it's loud. I saw your video on switching out the fans to Noctura, which I might do, but, I could always place my USW 48 POE 500W in my shop, and purchase a new 48 switch. I'm debating on the Pro 48 POE or the Pro Max 48 POE. I don't care about etherlighting at all. Having SFP+ 10g & a few POE++ are my needs. BUT SOUND... It's the noise as it's located in my office which is right next to our bedroom. I've read reviews that says the PRO 48 POE is louder than my current one, and in your review the ProMax seems to make a decent noise too. Anyways, curious of what you think or possible solutions.

Agree, this little switch is my favourite at the moment, it has a port for switch ever scenario you need.
Did you purchased the poe version?

Checking the temperature not under load does not make much sense. Try checking the temperature while under full load - all ports utilized to the max.
Was my thoughts exactly, guy wasted a minute or two in his video for the most pointless waste of anyone’s time.
Oooh blinking lights, let me pull my wallet 😂
🤑🤑🤑
Have you experienced noise level of a Pro Max 48 non PoE? Thanks. Subbed.
👌
🙌
Does a thermal test and noise test, without anything connected and no load. You know.. because you buy a switch not to connect anything to it.. 😂
You stated the Pro Max 24 POE had 16 POE plus, but it has 8 POE+ 1GB, 8 POE ++ 1 GB and 8 POE++ 2.5.
