Good God man...the Aussies like to hit it hard! Some really tough terrain leaving some battle damage on those rigs. Best part was the guy in his underwear helping out with the Maxtraks nearly falling over, but kept his beer upright!! Now that’s a man to have with you when you go to battle. All the parts that broke are STANDARD STREET VEHICLE PARTS. For this kind of track you need heavy modification on everything. Even a military tank might not do the job. LOL!

Wow this is a good learning video-- seems many times they break things going over some serious stuff and the strain is understandable, but other situations don't look as though anything should break... so I have been very lucky and I don't have nearly a fraction of the knowledge these guys have.
My off-roader is just a stock '99 Isuzu Trooper, but actually I have put OME springs and shocks on it with a slight torsion bar lift up front to match. It only lifted about 1 inch but it rides better over the twisty stuff and so far so good. I just can't believe I haven't broken it many times as they do on this video, since I've been over similar things. I can't make the clearance on a lot of the obstacles in this video, however the mixture of turf, rocks, dips and bumps are very similar, and I don't know why I've gotten away with not breaking those things yet.
I do tend to go slower than these guys, but I think it's because I don't have to make the clearance these guys do, so I on't use momentum much. Just "slow off-roading".
Anyway, this video is very educational.

Poor Defender having to show the same uni joint failure 3 times so it looked like it did it alot. Question if you can answer was the CV that failed a stock unit or the county version? I've just got some ashcroft ones for mine and the those outer shells shattering makes me glad i did

In America we upgrade our axles before they even have a chance to break. Not these guys just pack a dozen stock spares lol good stuff

You guys are fantastic and you deal with everything with such a calm attitude. I was just wondering how or what do you do to fix or get those vehicles out of there considering you are out in the backwoods?
Thanks for your insights. We do whatever is necessary to get them out. We usually bring parts that we think could fail and go from there.
