I took my turbo out years ago to change the wastegate sol, I forgot to put that gasket on but haven't noticed any change in power. Its a pain to get that turbo out its been out twice (in the 15 years I've had the car)

Sad to see you younger generation not restoring these classic cars and turning them into drift cars. I own an immaculate BA XR6T with only 130,000kms and these cars need to be saved.
I wouldn't say their classics they are a dime a dozen here in australia. And it's just not worth restoring it. I have a black 2005 bf xr6 turbo. I purchased in 2019 for $4200 body aint the best (few scratches and dents) would cost me around 8 to 9k just to get the dents fixed and resprayed not worth the outlay as ill never get my money back on it if I did
If I had the money for an xr6t I'd go for it and fix it up I have a stock ba xr6 that I picked up in 2020 for 4300 with 199k on the clock was in pretty good condition other than the stereo not working but put a single din head unit in since then
I just brought a fgx xr8, but i cant bare to sell the bf xr6t its just too nice (even though it only gets driven once a month now and no garage for it)
No way, I used to know the owner of this car he had the stock barra turbo for a while but it blew and then he copped a aftermarket turbo for $250 on FB marketplace, the tune was done prior to the aftermarket turbo being installed, might need a retune.
Definitely is turbo as I checked the vin before purchasing. In regard to the MKII are you certain on that? Before buying this I looked at another ba xr6 turbo and that had the badge as well. Judging by the condition of my car it could be a possibility that the boot has been changed before
Love how easy the Barras are to work on and good supply of parts available. Those wires though.😄
