@@MINIMOTOMADNESS sounds a good deal considering the work done...clutch job alone is like near £400. When it comes you sell you'll probably get most of not all your money back even after a couple years
I just bought one 2005 avesnis T sprit hatchback 2.0 147bhp, automatic black leather interior better spec, great car does have few body scratches and a bad dent on lower passnager rear door, but I'll get that sorted soon, also gonna do full major service inc gearbox oil, engine oil, spark plugs, filters, even brake discs, pads, all fluids from brake fluid, coolant make it nice and well maintained so I can drive with no issues ever.
95% of my driving is city driving so excitement doesn't apply no matter what car I own. I'd much prefer the comfort, reliability and non-attention seeking qualities of this Avensis than some shouty, expensive souped-up sports car that attracts the attention of police and boy racers.
This model isn't the traditional auto..it's the triptronic version....the previous Avensis 1997-2003 was the one that had the legendary bullet proof auto box
@@sutsi hello i think the 2003-2009 model is not equipped with a cvt. I want to buy a 2007 or 2008 toyota avensis 1.8 petrol 129 hp with automatic gear from germany or italy. Is it reliable. Is it equipped with a dependable automatic gearbox. Does this engine cause any problems like oil consumption...
I'd take soft, quiet and comfortable over performance and handling any day of the week.

I think the transmission is a conventional automatic with torque vonverter
