i just brought a mustang GT and it was complaning about Checking Charging System, and i suspect the alternator. Seeing how easy it is to replace, you took away a nightmare for me. I thank you for that. Good tutorail and Really helpfull. Thank you again
Great 👍 detailed no nonsense video , did you inspect the heater hose behind the alternator...while you had it off , could of swore that I detected a leaky heater hose clamp , these mustangs are notorious for those leaky heater hose plastic elbows , you’ll smell little hints of hot antifreeze burning off the top of the block , a little 7 dollar part , with two or three hours of labor , done at a shop 💵💵💵😕
Okay so the 09 mustang is different , not sure what the difference is can't find anything on forums.. any idea what the difference is ?? Is it the plug or how it mounts up ??? Hope someone can help
I just changed the alternator on my '09 GT, the alternator and all the connectors and bolts/nuts are the same as the earlier cars, the only difference I noticed was the upper radiator hose crosses the alternator instead of mounting to side of it.
@@05gtdriver did you use the Denso ? For the 2010? Every forum I've read says don't use the 05-08 alternators on a 2009 because they are junk and will fail.
@@Jfizzle813 I purchased a Motorcraft OEM alternator from Rock Auto. More expensive, but it is what Ford installed at the factory. It is the 2009 style alternator.
