dude at 6:08 did you skip a couple steps? it would’ve been good if you showed how to connect everything to the new headlights… it’s kind of an important part of the install lol
It’s literally just a plug
Did you have issues with the high beams? mine were pointed down and adjust with the low beams
nice video...as per usual!!!
Thank you so much bro ❤️🙏🏽
@@mrgccdid you align the lights afterwards? I hear a lot of people say the stock lights from vland headlights is pointing downwards
Do these fail MOT because of the amount of light change compared to normal golf mk6 lights?
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 😁
Can you tell me how to dissabke the red eye feature i have the red eye one and vland is completely useless trying to help me
he bought the non red eye version . red eyes dont turn off
Having a problem we’re my DRLs don’t turn on until I put low beams on. Then my low beams don’t turn on at all. Any ideas on what could cause this? Can’t get help anywhere, thanks for the great vid man.
Did you figure it out? Having the same problem
for the day time running lights, you have to swap the headlight pins in the harness from 10->4->1 and the DRL's should work
@@t0ov550 do you mean move 10 to 4, and 4 to 1?
Is it true DRL notification on the cluster panel stays on all the time? Regardless if headlights are on or not?
Yes unless you swap the headlight pins in the harness from 10->4->1 and clear the code on obd
what the name or link for the harness because i been trying to find one but i can’t
Look up vland mk6 golf/gti headlight harness adapter
@MrGCC did you align the lights afterwards? I hear a lot of people say the stock lights is pointing downwards
Yes, exactly. Ours point down. Either I have to find a fix or ditch them as driving at dark is dangerous.
@@505premotopush the top three screws on top of the headlight mounting back as far as they can go. There is also adjustment screws inside the housing itself, you’ll have to take it apart. The external adjustment screws don’t do the job.
@@nickdreher4227 Much thanks!
@@nickdreher4227top three screws?
@@tristanbott3804 that’s what I said. There are three T25 screws that hold the top of the housing, and one behind the housing. Loosen the top three, push the headlight further back. The mounting brackets on the housings have wiggle room.
Were there any lights on the driver display saying anything was missing. I've heard some people will install the lights and then the dash says the car's lights don't work even tho they were on.
bro that shit happens to GTIs even with the stock lights in 🤣
Yeah for the day time running lights, you have to swap the headlight pins in the harness from 10->4->1 and the DRL's should work, but the side markers will only come on with the headlights. And to get rid of the dash light you just have to clear it with an obd device
Do the bulbs from the old headlights fit on the new headlights? Or did you have to get new bulbs ?
Old bulbs can work but I would recommend upgrading them to brighter ones that are white to match the look.
@@mrgcc did it come with any bulbs or no?
What bulbs did you buy? Xenon or led bulbs? And also what siZe pls?
@@mahmoodrahman1288no does not come with bulbs
@@MrArpiDh7 headlight bulbs for low beams and h15 headlights bulbs for high beams
What size bulb for the brights?
H15
Why doesn’t coming home work for me?
No error codes from the drl?
nope it didn't bring up any which was great news!
@@mrgccio ho montato i fari uguali , ma quando giro il quadro non si accendono le drl e mi dà errore , ha solo la funzione posizione , cosa ho sbagliato? Grazie

Mine didn't come with low beams. Also the daytime running lights only work when the car isn't on. When it's on you have to switch to your regular low beams and then the DRL's will work too. Also error on dash saying DRL's not working. I have the harness and all. Disappointed with these lights.
Did you buy low beams. If so where did you get it?
@@lucksenm151 I would advise against purchasing these. The lower end Vlands that are around $220 don't get! You have wiring and harness issues. They don't work as you'd like. They are pointed to the ground, adjustment screw doesn't bring it high enough. And yes they didn't come with low beams. I'm actually returning mine.
@@thomasgranville3604 did you then buy the high end headlights from vland?
@@thomasgranville3604 You have to buy the bulbs separately which are H7 for the low beams and H15 for the high beams and for the day time running lights, you have to swap the headlight pins in the harness from 10->4->1 and the DRL's should work, but the side markers will only come on with the headlights.
