Hey man 2 years late I have a vw Passat 2012 and I was looking at these on eBay I was wondering how were the leds in the headlight doing do they go bad? Eventually with no way of replacing I would appreciate a response appreciate it!

Looks dope… anyways link to these headlights? I’m looking for some for my Mk6 gti and I keep running into mk7 ones but they won’t fit the Mk6
We bought this on Ebay
We saw there mk7 style (aroud $400+)
So you need to raise the headlight casing as much as possible to fix that issue. Lastly you should have used silicone around the entire casing to avoid any moisture.

We are in the next video show how to set up headlights, including the way that you speak( th-cam.com/video/IN4WfBxmohg/w-d-xo.html) , but in our case it was not enough and after 3 hours of search I found a way to fix my problem and I left Lifehack about it.
About WaterProofing🤔, your offer will be useful, I saw so do in other videos, but before putting, I wanted to do so too, but I was convinced that there is a factory, so I didn't do this, we live near the ocean and we a lot of fogs, but for the last month I did not see the headlights from the inside.
But while I look for a decision as me to adjust the headlights, I have our big absorbent package, which collects moisture, so that it is probably when the headlights begin to foggle it should be replaced with a new😉👌
Which way do you turn them to raise them? I can’t get mind up any further and it’s only 30-40’ in front of the car. All my tabs are lined up
@@heisman01 push them back and up. I ended up drilling into the casing a little just to keep them tilted and aligned.
@@Prediculous I'll probably have to do that on the next set. the day time running lights just quit working after 20 miles.

how did you install the retainer adapter ring so easily? I have the same parts and mine seems too small to lock on tightly
You mean where you put the lightbulb in? Because that one might take you to turn the bulb around so you can pin down the bulb

Did it give you an canbus error on the dash?
No! But I'm not recommend LED for this headlights HID better.
We switched halogen to LED, after to HID(xenon with canbus(error protection), and everything work, no issues! [ th-cam.com/video/IN4WfBxmohg/w-d-xo.html ] , 6min 52 sec.
...but sometimes one light 🤔 two days working, 2-3 work not working, no idea what happens 🤷♂️

For 1,5 month in foggy area, no condensation issues .
I founded a one big absorbent pack inside the each headlight units, I think this is help🤣

Hello . Great video and to solve the problem of the height of the headlights you have to connect the pares directly to the car without using the adapter.
At this time to adjust the height with the control that is located at the headlight settings
How did you get the DRLs to work? I just installed mine with LED bulbs and the DRLs only come on with the low beams when the headlights are turned to “on”
you would swap pin 10 on the harness to pin 1 location. this would make the lights come on as parking lights.
Some have also moved pin 4 on the harness to pin 1 location to enable them as actually DRLs, but i personally could not get this to function.

not Really relevant comment bro，but I got evo x headlights and feel its absolutely a scam，caused my afs dash light flashing（if ur car doesnt have afs then u might be happy w it），and poor finish（cheap plastic feel and sent directly from China lol），even worse aftersale support，leave ur query alone and never wanted help（keeping say they r consulting and let u wait）u might wait consider then purchase
we all earn money hard ，we deserve alot better product for its price
