But after her partner convinced her to come again, when OP came to the gym again the pick me was with her husband. Turns out pick me was married with two kids. So the pick me husband came to OP provoking her and asked if she wanted to spar. OP accepted it. But the guy was 6 ft and 80 kg so he was way taller and muscular than OP
And then she beat him and he did a foul on her and then her husband beat her up really badly and for the rest of the gym sessions the pick me and the husband avoided them

I have done some martial arts, but the school I went to teaches an interesting non-combative approach. You may at some point choreograph a match with another student, but it works more like a dance. Nobody gets hurt. The non-injury thing is big, you train so that you can be stronger in all ways. Some of my fellow students were in their’70s!
