Fun video to watch and great job to all the crew. having watched a couple of your videos now, i don't understand the thought process about only charging up enoughto make i to the next charger. for every extra charging stop, you're still adding up the time to exit and enter the highway again, as well as pulling in and initiating the charger. I would think charging to 80% every time and limiting the number of times you have to do those extra steps would save time in the long run
Kudos to the Cannonball team for sticking to the CCS1 charger network no matter how bad. I'd be on the Tesla network with that adapter monster from Lutron but it's only a J1772 connection which might get you 11kW if you're lucky. But it wouldn't do for a Cannonball to beat 41hrs so just keep pushing.
CCS Charging needs to vastly improve. Which is why I suspect all of the manufacturers are switching to NACS. It needs to be to be as simple as plugging in your phone to a USB charger.
I am so surprised you are arriving at those chargers with no other drivers. Here on the east coast it's rare to find stations completely empty with all the free charging given away these days.
I said that before you arrived near LA. The Lucid charging @350 kW is amazing, too bad the CCS infrastructure let you down. I don't see a CCS car winning this contest anytime soon due to charger problems and station overcrowding.

I'd be on the Tesla network with that adapter monster from Lutron but it's only a J1772 connection which might get you 11kW if you're lucky. But it wouldn't do for a Cannonball to beat 41hrs so just keep pushing.
Can't get a 4th person to do the run with you? Would make for a good 2 pair/set of driver and spotter with one pair/set resting/sleeping ...
Finally Alyssa, McKayla did a great job driving the lead car.
great job as always, nobody id rather watch do this...peace
2:15:11 "might be the only mechanic service he knows how to do..." FIRE ROAST
1:13:04 That Neon unnecessarily went into the median. Truck came over, but not completely. They chose the grass. Thought truck unnecessarily came over (should’ve hit the brakes down to 45 instead of cutting off. I’m a 17 year veteran trucker). Always crazy out.
& you guys are appreciated. & these companies wonder why EV sales are tanked.
Thanks for doing these Kyle! Always great content 👏🏻 Would be cool to see a Taycan vs Lucid on the same run head to head!
definatly gotta give it another try with the lucid once the signets are "fixed"
This is amazing Kyle!
i was the light blue bolt charging there at barstow. saw you guys and recognized who you were. thought about saying hey but didn't. fun vid
