Oh so they all saw the little mermaid ooh and I'm sure king triton scared them all becuse that's what he does he scares the little children who watch his movie
@@808natee That is completely different. The live action film is a remake of a perfect animated classic. Ariel is an iconic character. You do not race bend characters in remakes in the name of diversity and representation. That is representation done wrong. Good representation is creating new and original stories with different new characters, that people will love and consider a classic in the future. This is a theatrical production of The Little Mermaid. Theatre and film are different types of art mediums.
Who is excited to see Sierra rejoin Phantom on Broadway this May along with Norm Lewis taking on the title role!! Sierra is my favorite Christine (and Ariel too)!!
I love how the kids play Flounder are like "I saw 3/5 years ago. That was a long time ago!" and the rest of cast is saying "I watched in theaters/on video 20 years ago... nbd"
It's just a fun thing they did when they worked together. He would call her daughter. She would call Sean Palmer (Eric) her prince and Sherrie Renee Scott (Ursula) Diva Witch.
At last Eddie Korbich! I LOVED him in the show! I really wanted to meet him! And you gotta love Sierra remembering the movie...I can see in her eyes she's becoming a seven year old again! it's so cute!
Does anyone else think that Sherie Scott who plays Ursula looks and sounds a bit like Rachel McAdams at least that's what i thought when i heard her speaking...
Old comment, I know, but it's because when working with kids in theatre they can only do a show every other night or something due to labor laws. So they alternate between kids to have that character every show. For instance when Mathilda came out a few years ago, I think there was four girls who played the title role. Sometimes they get around this by making Flounder a teenager instead so he can be played by just one person.
I'm a DIE hard fan of Sie and have been for a while and I still don't think she looks like J. Law. Like... maybe a tad bit but idk. Eve she herself has posted pictures of herself doing Hunger Games references a long while ago but like whatatattata???
She is talented but ancient for the role of Ariel, a character of 16 shouldn't be played by someone getting of for 30 it just doesn't work and anyone under 20 could have been suitable, Ariana Grande, Dove Cameron etc.
+DSM Productions (official) This show was done in 2005. Ariana Grande was 12 at the time and Dove Cameron was 9. I get what you're saying about how a character that is 16 should be played by someone that is around that age, but at the time of this production, Sierra Boggess was 23 years old.
+DSM Productions (official) First off, they wouldnt last doing 8 shows a week because young voices cant handle it,. They casted Sierra for a reason, they want a musical theatre actress who pours her heart out in singing and connects with the music, not just get up there and sing, Sierra is a phenomnal musical theatre actress that puts her heart in her singing. Second, Jodi Benson was 26 voicing Ariel. so...
Maybe quality over quantity, if they made 1 theater show a week then go for someone young. She doesn't pass for 16 is my issue, when you hear a voice a person can be 40 voicing a child but you have to look the age on screen and I like Annie it was an unknown who was around the right age and I don't mind seeing low quality singing if I like the talent, I'd pay $100 to see a new talent as if you use a name you allow them some setbacks.
+DSM Productions (official) Ariana Grande may have started out on Broadway but now that she's a big pop star, the Broadway fanbase has basically shunned her. Theatre fans aren't in much favor of having Hollywood actors and singers in Broadway shows. Some have even complained about Jim Parsons and Neil Patrick Harris, as amazing as Parsons was in Harvey and NPH was in Hedwig (and many other shows). Nick Jonas, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Keke Palmer have all met this same fate as well.
THANK YOU FOR FINALLY INTERVIEWING THE ALMOST MINOR CHARACTERS: Flounder, Scuttle, and the Eels

It doesn't matter what color they are. The point is that they are all talented and were the best actors that were chosen for each individual part.
I really wish that this musical had been a remake film/movie on dvd. I really love it when I saw it in New York and I love all the songs.
Oh so they all saw the little mermaid ooh and I'm sure king triton scared them all becuse that's what he does he scares the little children who watch his movie

Still didn't convince me thogh, good actress were 16 at the time but maybe remake it with those stars I mentioned in 2016.
