Sierra Boggess, she is great, she can sing, she can act, she is beautiful, the complete passage. She is the best Chrisrina Daaè. I am a fan of Sierra Boggess.
+Lola Laufeyson SAME (Except I can't sing so I'm striving to play in the orchestra pit on Broadway, preferably for Phantom of the Opera since the music is so amazing) ! Good luck with getting on Broadway :}
I had no idea that Sierra could hit those notes! I just watched the 25th anniversary performance of Phantom, and I was completely blown away! And she's even said that she's not a trained opera singer! She just effortlessly hits that high note...beautiful!
I had the honor and privilege to meet her and Norm Lewis with my young daughter when they played in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. What wonderful human beings.
She is insanely talented! Sierra fan club member since the weekend after seeing Phantom! She is brilliant. I would watch Phantom all day every day just to hear her sing.❤
Her signing voice is so different than her speaking voice. I mean I know most people’s are different, but her singing is so refined, and her speaking voice is not? Idk how to explain that differently. 😅😂 And she low key looks like my aunt. 😅
Nice job of slinging shade at her. I loved her in Phantom, but after this video I love her as a person. She's def someone I'd just want to hang out with. And I'll bet you're refined when you fart on a train.
Happy Clam in sorry you felt so inclined to throw shade and be mean, when that wasn’t my intent at all. I was trying to be complementary to her voice but wasn’t sure how. Her voice is unique and I love that. I had heard her first in phantom 25th anniversary where she had a British accent. And it might just be me, but I don’t normally think American when someone has an operatic singing voice like she does. So I was just surprised when I heard her talking. I’m not totally sure what being refined when u fart on a train has to do with anything I had said in my original comment. Have a lovely day. 😊👍
Brooklyn Stott American speaking voices don’t tend to correlate with singing voices outside of country and other genres. I’m a bass-baritone with a lot of vibrato, but my natural speaking voice is really southern and really sloppy. I even have a lisp that just disappears whenever I do accents and sing. 🤷♂️ I think it has a lot to do with how singers are trained, as we are all taught very early on to modify our voices in order to get more support, and classical singing styles tend to bend towards a more proper and elegant way of articulation. It’s just biology, as that tends to be the safer and more healthy way to sing as opposed to belting a lot. Edit: meanwhile, our normal voices are just the most comfortable way to speak for us.
I Just flipped out, her line in Les Mis was 'And in a Bed' and oh my gosh I was in les mis last year and that was my solo and ah! I just love that! I love sierra so much and just we had the same solo as relatively new actors! :D its just fun!
LOVERandFIGHTER7285 Originally I heard it from one of my friends who's in choir, but it also says so here: www.broadway.com/buzz/180885/andrew-lloyd-webbers-phantom-sequel-love-never-dies-will-tour-us/
Those that say that aren't saying she can't do it, but that it's pre-recorded so that she doesn't have to keep singing the note during back to back performances and damage her voice.
A lot of the stuff in Phantom is prerecorded, like the overture, the title song, the phantoms laughs during the il muto ballet, but the think of me cadenza is not, at least on Broadway.
My goodness, she is so beautiful and her voice is beautiful to listen too, I wish them both all the very very best wishes for the future and that they and their families are safe during the recent events.
Sierra's got such great comedic timing and excellent facial expressions - this was so funny! And as for Seth, well, the world of youtube wouldn't be the same without him!!!
i was 8 in new york when i saw sierra sing in the little mermaid. I loved her not knowing who she was. I am 11 now. last month i saw a movie/ show of her in phantom of the opera, my favorite opera EVER, when i saw her as christine i didnt know it was her. I loved her singing there too. Then I saw this. when she said she was in the little mermaid i renemberd. I ran in my room and got the booklet i got at the play , yes i still had something from 2008. in the back of the book, there it was
I can't believe how much I love this, and that I only just discovered it. IT'S BEEN ON LINE SINCE 2011 AND I COULD HAVE BEEN WATCHING IT FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS!
I put this video on so I can hear some beautiful background noise while working....but I cant stop looking at this gorgeous gorgeouuusss woman!! *_* you never know how lovely these artists are until they're in an interview !
Sierra is greatly talented, my goodness! If she can hit an E6, I wouldn’t be surprised if she can somehow reach the whistle range. But a soprano is just as impressive. It’s funny because seeing her perform as the formal Christine, it feels a bit strange seeing her interact with her laid back personality and speaking voice ✨
Sierra is by far the best Christine Daae ever, in my opinion. I’m still not sure why Andrew Lloyd Webber dubbed Sarah Brightman’s voice over Sierra’s while she and Ramin were in the catwalk on the 25th anniversary edition of Phantom of the Opera.
This is my absolute favorite of ALL of Seth's Obsessed shows. And there are a lot to choose from. I want more people to see it so we can randomly say "....AND in a bed" to each other.
Sierra Boggess has such a powerhouse voice with a major upper extension and a full-bodied chest voice that she uses to the fullest and she's not afraid to carry it upward and it's so satisfying in everything she does, especially Phantom...it makes me want to hear her sing opera-proper. She's got serious pipes, would kill to see her in Fille du Regiment or La Sonnambula or Thomas's Hamlet or even Candide or Tosca (might be a stretch for her in Tosca because of the thick orchestration but would still be a damn fine performance!!). Seeing that she's also got a great sense of humor and would be so fun to grab a drink and talk shit with is so heartwarming :D
She stole the fave spot imidially for me, after seeing her in love never dies I can't help but compare others to her and she is just so.. SO good. Raising the standard for sopranos
I love how she started with only 2 lines in Les Mis and then went on to play Ariel and Christine Daae. Truly inspirational.
Benjamin Wambeke how though 😂 not fair
And Fantine!
AND IN A BED
Everyone has to start somewhere. Having Les Mis on her resume may have gotten her into one of those auditions.
and in a bed~
I will never stop hearing
"And in a bed!" In my head.
SAME!
Me too xD!
I can't stop hearing not in a bed in my head
And in a bed!
Is on your head!
Im getting mad!
My name is ted!
Thats incorrect!
My name is not ted!
Just call me brad.
I am the 1Kth liker.
For Christmas, I just want Sierra's range.
Moments with Molly ok. It will only take 5,000 lessons
mood
***sips tea*** mhm me too honey.
Lol hahaha 😂
For Christmas, I just want Sierra*
The fact that she sings so well, so effortlessly, frightens me.
THE WORLD IS UNFAIR
no doubt that she could play with her voice at any time of the day 😂
The power she holds
Sierra: (singing) "Nothing Ever Will"
Awkward Silence
Seth: "AND IN A BED!"
why did i read that in the voice....i didn't even know she was in les mis and still got the reference...real theater nerd here lol
I DID THE "AND IN A BED" SOLO TOO
raiya NO FRICKIN WAY!!! GIRL ME TOO!!!!! ♡♡ (I also went on twice for Eponine(!!!!!!))
I was Cosette 💗
let us worship the youtube comment section chemistry these two have
You have a bright future then
raiya my older sister did! i was young cosette
Who came here after watching the free online streaming of the Phantom of the Opera this weekend?
Me :)
I can’t believe this is 8 years old!
Thien Me too. She has the most amazing voice.
me, and now I am obsessing over her and Karim...
I missed it!! 😭😭😭 I am so upset. I'm going to watch love never does tomorrow! Can I watch the phantom of the opera anywhere else?
Right when she started vocalizing the end of "Think of Me" I screamed
Natalie Garrido FUCKING S A M E
Shes okay BUT SARAH BRIGHTMAN IS A HOLY DAMN 😂
Sarah Green (what are you, 75?)
@@sarahgreen5700 litterally my least favorite Christine lol
it's a cadenza smh
Sierra Boggess, she is great, she can sing, she can act, she is beautiful, the complete passage. She is the best Chrisrina Daaè. I am a fan of Sierra Boggess.
I would like to complete her passage.
She's my fav Christine as well!!!!!!
The camera man made this so much better
You’re so right!!! Like The Office skit.
That brilliant zoom in and out before and after and in a bed is just exquisite
i agree
So much better 💞
Her personality is almost as good as her singing. I love both.
I met her last night and she was so nice. She stayed to sign autographs for and take pictures with everyone!
I love how this video is only funny to Broadway/ theater geeks. I could never show my friends it to make them laugh
Same lol
I know right
hannah nummer I am not a Broadway geek and i thought this was funny.
So true!
Same
I wish I could sing like Sierra. She's one of the reasons I wanna play Christine Daae on Broadway.
+Lola Laufeyson SAME (Except I can't sing so I'm striving to play in the orchestra pit on Broadway, preferably for Phantom of the Opera since the music is so amazing) ! Good luck with getting on Broadway :}
+LOVERandFIGHTER7285 Aw thank you. Good luck with getting in the orchestra. :)
+Lola Laufeyson Secretly, me too. But I'm too scared to take vocal lessons :'(
themillieway I would take voice lessons but I currently have no money. :(
:( I'll be thinking of you and hoping you find a way-- I believe it can happen. I'm sorry that this has to hold you back! Don't give up
the way that this is filmed makes it feel like an episode of The Office.
Her laugh is too precious. She's so down to earth and goofy.
"I DID GET WRITTEN UP...." She's so goofy and lovely!
I need a tshirt with "and in a bed" and sierra's facial expression at 1:31 on it.
Rizwan Jagani yES I NEED THAT TOO XKDJSKD
OMG IM FOUR YEARS LATE, BUT PUT IN ON REDBUBBLE
“nothing ever will...”
...
“AND IN A BED!!!”
shdhshd i lost it
"Everyone else had like 'They were schoolboys, never held a gun da da da da da' and I had, 'Nothing ever will.'"
.................
"AND IN A BED"
"Love Never Dies should be on Broadway!"
Should it Sierra?
Should it?
I know you like Lord Andy, but should it?
Mellon Collie yes. It’s good
yes it should. I saw it live and it was amazing
Yes it should
😂😂😂 so accurate
Love Never Dies, but this show died a death. Thank God.
"Never wear a stain like that before midnight" ..
"and in a bed!"
She hits that note so effortlessly. She so talented!! Can't wait to see her live!
You know you've watched this too many times when you can quote the video...
same it makes me happy I caught myself singing along
She’s like the Jennifer Lawrence of Broadway... I love it 😍
funny thing i have a friend who looks like both Sierra and Jennifer but i dont think Sierra and Jennifer look alike
OMG. I keep thinking she looks like someone else but can't think of who...! You're so right!
They almost have the same tone of speaking voice too.
I had no idea that Sierra could hit those notes! I just watched the 25th anniversary performance of Phantom, and I was completely blown away! And she's even said that she's not a trained opera singer! She just effortlessly hits that high note...beautiful!
sierra saying "yeah" at 4:32 is the purest sound on earth
We definitely need more Videos of Sierra Boggess simple being herself on TH-cam.
I had the honor and privilege to meet her and Norm Lewis with my young daughter when they played in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. What wonderful human beings.
That little reference to Hairspray. "Stupid Bus Crash!" That was my favorite line to say in the entire show😂 Good times.
Leah Sleator It always made the audience laugh so much!!
She has such a perfect sense of humor
She is insanely talented! Sierra fan club member since the weekend after seeing Phantom! She is brilliant. I would watch Phantom all day every day just to hear her sing.❤
Her signing voice is so different than her speaking voice. I mean I know most people’s are different, but her singing is so refined, and her speaking voice is not? Idk how to explain that differently. 😅😂
And she low key looks like my aunt. 😅
Brooklyn Stott lucky you 😋

I was trying to be complementary to her voice but wasn’t sure how. Her voice is unique and I love that. I had heard her first in phantom 25th anniversary where she had a British accent. And it might just be me, but I don’t normally think American when someone has an operatic singing voice like she does. So I was just surprised when I heard her talking.
I’m not totally sure what being refined when u fart on a train has to do with anything I had said in my original comment.

@@brooklynstott5242 I think you are thinking of accents, not voices.
She speaks in a nasally American tone.
Brooklyn Stott American speaking voices don’t tend to correlate with singing voices outside of country and other genres. Probably the best audition song I've ever heard in my entire life.

Wow! She is so down to earth, and she earned her lead roles after working hard for them in the beginning! She has such an amazing voice!
I had the “and in a bed” solo when I was in Les Mis. We made fun of it so much!
I got to meet her this past Saturday! She was so nice and so friendly! It was the most amazing experience!
I heard Love Never Dies is coming to Broadway in 2017! Wow, time goes by fast!
+Rachel F WHERE DID YOU HEAR SUCH A THING

+LOVERandFIGHTER7285 They are actually going on a North America tour. Can't wait until they come to San Diego or LA
Eh. Love Never Dies is like when a fan fiction of a famous musical, becomes a musical.
But at least it's pretty? lol
I love her so much!!!!!!! I wish I was in Paris to see her perform in french
AMAZING! I love how Sierra went from kicking butt with that cadenza to all silly-like with "AND IN A BED".
every once in a while I come back to this video and it brings me the same amount of joy every time
*Showing this to whoever said that she prerecorded the think of me climax*
Those that say that aren't saying she can't do it, but that it's pre-recorded so that she doesn't have to keep singing the note during back to back performances and damage her voice.

How can you not love that girl?
Seth is such a funny bugger, and Sierra is just amazing and talented, and amazingly talented
Wait why is no one talking about that bus accident-
Yeah that’s so sad
Because she was late for her half hour call, priorities duh🤣
Sierra's got such great comedic timing and excellent facial expressions - this was so funny! And as for Seth, well, the world of youtube wouldn't be the same without him!!!

HOW does she so seamlessly do the phantom riff AHHH
Why can't I have her voice?
Why can't I have HER?!
Don't know if I love this because it is so funny, or because when she sings it is so effortless and natural. Sierra Boggess, you are amazing!
That guy is hilarious 😶😂!
Also, got chills when she did Ariel's voice. Wow.
I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MANY CHILLS FROM ANYTHING BUT THAT HIGH NOTE
By the title 16 bars, I thought it meant that she's an alchoholic that goes drinking.
LOL!
Love her! Makes me laugh
I saw her on the National Tour as well. She was a joy to watch! So happy to see another fan. :)

I am crying at his intro regarding her inappropriate stain. ❤️
What a terrific talent and so engaging personally. She is great to watch.

The song is called Nothing from the show A Chorus Line.
