    did they used to use a rope to self-belay? Also, not quite sure how he decended? I am new to this, but how would he do it from a great hight with only one rope and two sticks. (truly interested)

      it says he is "rappelling" which seems to mean you go down with a double rope . You need some descensor to slow down but it is much easier.

      @@PietroSperonidiFenizio He is using a single line with a Carabiner on a Munters Hitch.

    I figure that as far as the descent goes you would basically rapell down to where you could attach the bottom stick in the same fashion as when ascending and basically repeat that process all the way down... Wonder what you'd do if you rapelled to far and used so much rope you couldn't re-attach it though ^^

    Way too much info on screen interfering with watching the action. The text deletes the value of the visual!
