You missed the most important point - Students would sacrifice their career goals as they would take admission in any college that is nearer to their relative's house instead of selecting the university or college that they aspire to go to.

Living by yourself/with friends in Canada is such a good exposure that enhances your capabilities so vastly that you don't feel shy or under-confident in society. I have met most of my closest friends here in Canada because either they are my roomates or I went out and met new people. You have freedom to live your life. You make memories that are impossible to make with relatives. And after a certain point, you don't want to bother your relatives since everyone has a limited time-schedule here.

The biggest problem is when you live in their house you’ll be getting a help but when you settle somewhat then they inform every single person in your dynasty that you couldn’t have make it possible if the relative wont help you.. parents do all sort of support from building your bold personality and money as well but the fucking credit goes to the relatives who helped him for some small period.

Living with relatives:-
Pros:-
1.) No rent pay
2.) Free food
3.) Financial help(rare)
4.) Benifit of their vehicles.
Cons:-
1.) They become your parents (controlling)
2.) They can manipulate your parents in believing anything they want.
3.) Their children would be their priority but sometimes they may overdo it and you may feel bad.
4.) You will be trapped in your social bubble.
Living on yourself
Pros:-
1.) Open atmosphere
2.) Development of social skills which are very helpful as canadian hiring process is mainly dependent on reference system.
3.) You will learn many survival tips.
4.) You can have the lifestyle you want
5.) Parties
Cons:-
1.) You'll have to manage your expenses on your own.
2.) Co-oping up with studies, jobs and errands is bit hectic.
3.) You may feel homesick (but you'll sure get used to it)
4.) You will have to struggle in your initial phases but you'll learn to co-op up quickly.

this is a good topic. Also, you are imposing on their family and life. If you aunt/uncle has kids then they don't necessarily want someone joining but have to adjust as their parents have agreed to take you in. this causes lots of problems.
