Best decision of your life. Since your elder son is also US citizen, he can sponsor your PR after 10 years.
No point of living in Canada. Doing low paying grunt jobs, shiver in cold and pay heavy mortgage. Also, if you are in tech degrees, funding in US is out of world. I came to US to study from India and did not pay a penny. In fact, at end of my masters I had more than 10,000 USD in saving.
Compare yourself, a tech person can easily get 150k+ in Texas and a 4BHK costs less than 600k. And in Toronto it's 150K of pay in high spying tech and similar home will cost 2 million.
I lived in both the countries, if there was some way for me to get green card, I would dump this Canadian PR and citizenship next year and leave.
Many people I know who mover to Canada from US went back.

    Ravish,
I was in the same boat last year trying to decide when/how to move to US from Toronto. In short, my recommendation is Just Do IT!!!!
My kids at that time were 12 & 10 of age and we both (me and wife) are in the same age and professional group as you folks.
Here were some of our reasons for the move:
    - Time is limited - take the chance now than later and live without regrets of inaction.
    - Growth: better and more job/business opportunities in USA vs. Canada not just for mid-career professionals like us but for the kids and future generations.
    - Access to more and better educational institutional choices for higher education where actual talent congregates and not just getting lost in wild migrating herd (you know what I mean ;)
    - Mindset development for the kids in American system; true land of endless possibilities. I already see that in them within 1 year of being here. The secondary education is definitely better than Brampton public and private schools where my kids went.
    - Great traveling and weather options in the continental US especially having lived in Canada for more than 23 years and dreading the winter onslaughts
Well there were a lot of lessons learnt during our transition and would love to share if interested. Reach out by looking up my contact information online:

I have lived in Canada for 18 years. This is an absolutely amazing country. People that come here for the most part end up making a very good life, they buy houses, drive nice cars and have great schools for their children, however unfortunately due to its close approximation to the US, it suffers from a constant comparison complex and people very often develop a kind of a FOMO that plays on them while they live in Canada. This to me is the biggest problem. The US is different animal, its a very unequal country, people either have it good or have it bad in extremes.

Talking of the kids, as I have told you before that I was in India at the same time as you were. I live in Austria (Europe), and here you can’t take the kids out of the school for more than one week; I had to go to the court and fight with the education ministry to get 2 weeks’ holiday for my kids. Which the judges gave me in the end quoting that the kids are going to learn much more during this travel in India than they would in school during the same time.

Me being a Canadian citizen and observing canadian economy very closely can say for sure US is always a better option .
I am paying way high tax being in a high income bracket compared to my friends and family in US . If u add up federal tax+ cpp+EI + union. It’s almost 30% of ur paycheck + 7 % inflation + 5% Gst + 7%Pst = 49% in taxes .
You can own a house , car go on vacation but you can never be rich in Canada for that u have to move to US in states like Texas where there is no state income tax . And over all taxes r half that of Canada .
Trust me we pay double on house prices , double on phone and internet.
    Bad health care and education.
Education in india is way better than in Canada .
Hospitals in Canada have a “don’t care attitude “ .

Are you looking for a change just for the sake of change? I am retired and I used to work in a managerial position in a Canadian multinational company in India. At your age you should focus on thinking who you are , why are you here, what is your objective in life. Don't focus on material wealth. Just keep looking inward not outward. An inward looking man always lives in peace. An outward looking man is confused, always running around and does not know what he wants from life. Forgive me for giving this advice to you.. Best of luck .

Today’s vlog was so relatable. We are citizens of Singapore, been there for 18 years, my kids are in their teen so movement to Canada was beyond a thought and that I could never have imagined and especially when you have your roots clutched deep into the grounds. So when my husband got a news of work move, I immediately said yes. I can’t say I am in an emotionally comfortable state yet, but it’s not bad either. How else we evolve and let the kids evolve. One move itself teaches us so much and all this adds in to our learning journey. kids become more resilient and adjusting. So, if you are thinking of a change, please go and explore and let the kids discover their new learning grounds. This is a real life education which should never stop.

Hey Ravish, good to know that you are having a change. All the best for your journey. Staying in Singapore for 12 years shifting last year to the US was a big change for us as well. Boston, Massachusetts is a good option if you are looking for long term for the kids studies.

I see lot of people who went to Canada due to GC backlog......are now returning back to US, as their priority dates are getting current. Personally know two people, one just waiting on Consular interview, other one decided to just move on TN and filed AOS recently.
If that is case, you can reclaim your old priority date.......karkay regret karna is better, as no hassle of H1b and all the pain associated with that. You will work and live in US with freedom and choice , which you cannot experience on work visa. The perspective and experience of US will be very different when you are not tied to employer on a work visa.

    • @RavishVlogs

I totally respect your decision that you want a change and looking at your current citizenship status it’s not tough for you guys but I left USA and moved to Canada because I feel Canada more safe multicultural and more homely feeling. Gun culture is worst in USA. School shootings very common every 3 months one of the schools are targeted. I understand you guys want a change but I promise and remember my words you will return back because you will feel Canada is more homely safe multicultural then USA. Racism is everywhere but in USA during Trump’s rule it was worst.

Ravish Bhai, I have a few question-
1- What is your age now??....and what is your current weight??....what is your target weight??....how will you lose your weight and what will you do??
2- Did you go to Canada because you earn in Canadian dollars??....was that the main reason??....also what is the percentage of expenses and savings in Canada??...Pls give example....
3- Which state and city are you going to in USA??....are you planning New York or LA or Washington or any other city??
4- What is it that you get in Canada and don't get in India??....for example high salary or income in Canadian dollars....pls mention that...
Also, I sent you a message on insta...pls check that...
    Thanks🙏

If u r coming to the US on Green Card, that makes a lot of difference. If not, coming here to the US on TN1 visa isn’t that great! I suspect u got ur Green Card, bhai! 😉😎 For people of Indian origin, immigration is a big concern in the US and u didn’t mention anything about that. By design? 😜
Either ways, you have absolutely nothing to lose in moving to the US. You can always go back to Canada since you’re a Canadian!
