Thanks for the Video clip! Apologies for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Paneevelyn Swinging Clubsman (google it)? It is a smashing one off product for revealing an effortless golf swing technique without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my cooworker finally got cool results with it.
Another great lesson, highly recommend becoming a member of Scratch Golf Academy, it's been so beneficial to my game.
Carlos,
Glad your game has been improving!
Best, Adam
This is honestly the best golf instruction on TH-cam. Keep the great videos coming. I'm down to nearly sub 20!
Kit,
Thanks very much! I'm glad you're playing better.

Love the line about nobody needing a hip turn lesson before using a broom. This is true just like nobody flips their wrists early or pulls their arms in swinging a baseball bat. Visualizing the golf swing as just a bent over baseball swing like you mentioned in another video has been the single best tip I've ever heard. It has made night and day difference in my ball striking
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you are making progress in your game.

I'm getting frustrated with my wedge shots. Lot of shots launch too low and curving to the right, ending up overshooting past the green. I don't know what's going on.
I'm afraid it's hard to comment without seeing your swing. That said I'd hit a lot of half wedges focusing on solid contact.
Best, Adam
...or it can be the OBSESSION with hitting "downward" that cause the thin hit or chunking.
Work on hitting through the ball. Hence, the broom analogy.
Thanks
i keep hitting out on the toe ! am i losing spine angle or pulling my arms inward?? CURE?
I have a video at this channel on toe shots, I hope you’ll find it helpful
Thank you so much. Should I have same fwd shaft lean on a 4 hybrid?
Slightly less, but that should be accounted for with set up (ball a little more forward)
Best, Adam
thanks for the lesson! i made the changes and boom i was making solid shots to the green. i made 2 birdies after the lesson and shaved 5 strokes off my previous game which i was hitting all my irons thin! awesome lesson. thank you! barry
Glad to hear it Barry!
Best, Adam
This is hands down the best golf instruction channel on TH-cam.
Thanks very kind of you Michael.
All the best, Adam
I would say the swing plain is a massive factor also, shallow or flat swing plains will cause thin shots also
Fair enough William
Great video, excellent explanation! Love the broom aid as well.
Thanks very much Andy

This explains a lot. Just came off a Clay Ballard vid explaining my pull and my misses are either pull left or thin right. Both vids align with my problem being to steep/over the top and not getting that sweeping forward shaft lean through impact
Thanks Jack.

Thanks for watching the video
Great advice, interesting to think about how thin shots come from what would be a fat shot and you subconsciously avoiding putting the club in the ground. That makes a ton of sense but I never thought it of that way.
Glad you found it helpful Joe.
Best, Adam
Nice simple fundamental advice thank you, can’t wait to try!
Hope you make good progress
Best, Adam
fantastic! are you teaching in Naples year-round?
Adam this is another great video which highlights how to make a shot simple. I am still blown away at the grass conditionson your fantastic course there.
I wonder if you could consider showing the position for longer irons please, as this often confuses me as a 1 year playing beginner?
keep up the great work of helping us, although I'm sure I could play better in those fantastic conditions haha.
best wishes
Lee
Thanks Lee, and yes, the course is in great shape.

Best video I ever seen, explained what I was doing g wrong to a T. Thank u
Thanks, and glad you found it helpful
Greatest instruction video I’ve ever seen. I’ve struggled so much with both slicing and hitting fat and thin shots and you just fixed it all. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment Philip!
All the best, Adam
Great video. I really decided to practice with a purpose and paid attention to not swinging too much downward as pointed out at 2:40 with the iron shot. I hit a dozen shots and didn't shank a single one. Thank you!
Glad to hear it Corek.
Best, Adam
Very useful, thanks! Like the precise explanation, the broom analogy and the short swing drill
Thanks, and glad you liked the video.

Thank you Adam for your most informative & easy to follow vids - my iron shots have improved immensely! I am laser-accurate from 100 - 150mts out, able to place the ball close to the pin. I have rediscovered my love of golf!
Thanks for the comment, glad it's going better for you.

that mans a gifted explainer of things.
Thanks very much.

Excellent, thanks Adam. Bet you'd make a pretty good coaching coach too.
Thanks Neil!

This angle of attack is critical to consistency and the key to lower scores. Great video. Thanks
Thanks Ian!

Does this sweeping feel apply to all the irons 4-pw
Less of a sweep with the short irons Wesley.

Fantastic, personal favorite pro on youtube.
Michael,
Thanks very much!

Great illustration on the concept of negative attack angle into the ball. As for this concept, I'm always confused on two points: assuming everything else of the swing stays the same, if I change the two things below at ADDRESS, does it help or not help with the downward blow? And Why? 1) press hands a bit more towards the target to create some forward shaft lean, 2) move the ball a little back in the stance. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Thanks!
Quick. Concise. Useful
Thanks, glad you liked the video.
Best, Adam
Excellent Adam excellent! That broom example is very clear what is expected to happen in the golf swing.
Thanks very much!
All the best, Adam
Great lessons
Thanks Michael.

Hello Adam: Love your instructional videos and your philosophies! Thank you! I'm getting ready for the golf season up in here in Minnesota and even though I've been playing golf for 40 years, I'm excited to apply many of your lessons to fine tune my game and work toward becoming a 'scratch' golfer (well, I can dream cant' I)? Watching your videos it's clear to see why you're 2x PGA golf pro of the year! Mark
Very kind of you Mark. Hope your season gets off to a great start.

Hi love your stuff, I’m new just started at 62 yr. I have a question. On correct set up with an 8 iron (blade square on and knees bent)I move my hands forward (left)and with the club head resting on the floor I post up to my impact position ..... my club face does two things, it goes to open by about 15 deg. and the club gets dragged in towards me by about a club width. Obviously those two things must differ from set up to impact as the two change.
1. the knees are bent at set up but straighter at full post up I can see this when I bend and straighten the knees at setup position. There’s about a club width there. 2. The club face will auto open as the hands move from the middle of your torso to the left side around 10 inches . So ... I can’t get my head around those differences when a person makes a full swing and how do they allow for it.Am I going mad or has anyone seen this too or even explained it.....wow! Am I making any sense at all or am I imagining those differences, it’s driving me bonkers thinking on it. Please help!
Paul,
Often things in slow motion (or posed position) are rather different than what might happen at full speed. If you aren't hitting the ball way on the toe I wouldn't worry about it.
Regards the club face, you are right. When hands are forward (left) at impact the face will tend to be open. Rotate the face down toward ground (less loft) to square it up.
Hope this helps.
Best, Adam
That tip is very informative. I have the issue with hitting thin shots but not so thin that I am actually blading the ball at the equator. My usual contact is low on the face with no divot being taken post ball contact. That causes the ball to come up shorter than wanted quite often. I know that if I can get to where I am taking a divot after hitting the ball that would mean the contact is much better and more centered in the clubface. Problem is I just can't seem to get there with my irons.
Tim,
I'd recommend hitting a lot of small punch shots to try and get the feel.
Hope this helps.
Best, Adam
Great video. Another wonderful instruction. Just have a question - how do you maintain or keep the shaft forward without flipping at impact?
Thanks
Thanks JJ.

I can't wait to practice this. I've always hit thin shots and now I see simple ways to correct it. Even better, I've had both problems you showed, leaning back and being too steep. Finally it all comes together. Thanks for the video!
Louis,
Thanks, I'm glad the video was helpful to you.

Brilliant. I love the broom analogy along with the physics explanation. Great way to teach. Thanks very much
Thanks very much. I'm glad you liked the video.

I love this drill..It's simple and it makes sense. Gonna start practicing the drill, hopefully it will pay off soon. Thanks.
Thanks Andrew, best of luck with it!
Thanks, Adam
I can't wait to put these lessons into practice on the course. Spring can't come soon enough!!!!
Hope you see some progress Lee.

4:55 to 5:15....he just explained golf instruction and why we all still struggle with this game no matter what we try, or buy. Been that way for over a hundred years.
Unfortunately that’s the case. Thanks Eddie

how about a fairway club?
Thanks Jan.
There are several such videos at this channel, here is one of them th-cam.com/video/8E2yYrljMaY/w-d-xo.html
All the best, Adam
Thank you for your prompt answer, I learned a new idea.
Glad to hear it Jan
maybe you are trying to kill the ball when it comes to fairway woods the easiest trick is to let the club do the work don’t try to hit down i know that sounds contradictory but it works trust me it also might help to swing easy
You are quite right. I must try to correct my ways. Primitive insticts make one hit instead of trying to brush the ball away.
Beautiful course man❤
I agree
I started making much better contact when i started hitting BEHIND the ball. If a tight lie, 1/4 inch. Some people need hit behind ball.
Well, hitting behind the ball may be a "feel" that works for you, but in reality it's not ideal. That said, if that thought is working for you keep plugging.
All the best, Adam
Really good instruction video 😊
