There are so many parents out there who say ridiculous things like this woman did. They talk about how they gave birth to their child, fed them, clothed them, housed them etc as though what they were doing was somehow an amazing thing and that their child should be eternally grateful. Obviously I am grateful to my parents for doing all that and I’m sure my kids are to me. However, those are just the bare minimum requirements when you CHOOSE to have children. The kids didn’t ask to be born, that was their parents choice and so of course they clothed and fed them etc, doing so just makes you a normal parent. Not doing so means you’re a bad/neglectful parent and to be an amazing parent requires more than that.

I agree, I’ve said this with some of the other people duped by scammers. There appears to be some cognitive issues. After being a teacher, I met with many parents who were learning disabled. Some diagnosed too late in their school years, then was dealing with the shock of finding this out too late. Then having kids who might also be learning disabled. So sad.

I worked in mental health and disability services for some time and I really feel that adult protective services needs to get involved here. Carrie definitely seems like she has some intellectual challenges, she is very naive and very vulnerable and this WILL happen again. I have seen it before, many times, with the people I worked with because they are so vulnerable to these predatory scammers!
I’m not a professional in the mental health field. But I’ve watched a whole bunch of videos on this channel and she hasn’t done or said anything more foolish than any other victims who are involved with fake celebrity scammers.
My youngest son drives big trucks and it takes a lot of work and patience to obtain the CDL’s. I can’t imagine this lady passing the exam and getting out on the highway. If she does, I’m not driving on the highway again.
She's special needs and there should really be a fresh assessment regarding her ability to manage her own finances. It doesn't look like she's competent enough to live fully independently, and she probably needs some sort of 'helper' with daily life as well. A 23 year old already predated on her at age 15? Someone this vulnerable should not be abandoned and left to their own devices. She'll end up homeless if she's not given care.
I absolutely agree. I worked with developmentally disabled adults. I had so many questions about her childhood when she should have been assessed and how she married so early.
I agree there appears to be mild intellectual difficulties there. These are the kind of people who - as you say - can live independently - but there’s no reasoning there when this kind of thing happens. I have a friend who is similar and can drive etc but would totally fall for this scam too. She has no one except her friends keeping an eye on her as social services won’t help. We’ve had to guide her regarding other matters, as she’s so gullible. It’s just sad.
Agree completely. I hope she reads these comments and realizes that she needs help. She ought to call social services in her area, explain that she feels that she may be mentally impaired, has been scammed and fears it will happen again. They will help her to find and set up an appointment for a cognitive evaluation. The assistance is free or low cost. Without professional help life will only continue to get worse. If she takes the first step, reaches out, receives the help she needs, she may be able to rebuild a relationship with her son. I truly hope she recognizes her need for daily or frequent assistance and follows the free paths available to get it.

I’ve been saying the same thing, when I was on match I kept getting bizarre vague messages like “how is your night?” I would say something specific, then scammer would respond “hi! Are you having a good evening “ I quickly discovered it was an AI scam bot, then I would just mess with it. But as bad as they are (now at least) I guarantee ppl are still falling for it like crazy
For all of these often broken-hearted people (it must be SO HARD to lose one's life-long love), the grief, loneliness, and hopefulness - and often, greed (note how these scammers almost always are "multi-millionaires" who somehow can't pay their own way), along with open, trusting natures AND the stark reality and FINALITY of aging, and a natural desire for "one more ride on the merry-go-round", together must provide an ideal petri dish medium for rampant exploitation. Add in most folks' desire to be thought attractive/ desirable, most of our needs for ego-strokes, AND a good measure of self-delusion, and... these folks are easy-pickings for evil, scammer scum. It already IS a bloody nightmare. But, you are RIGHT - AI is going to make such crimes much, MUCH worse. It's one thing to take from those who can afford it, but to take from folks who are already struggling financially, is so f*cking low... A scammer sent an email to me that I had won a gazillion dollars (or some outrageous amount) but I needed to pay the processing fee of $2000. I told them to take it from my winnings and send me the rest. Never heard from them again😂😂😂😂

Happens all the time. Coincidentally, my boyfriend Elon is having the same issues. This woman is definitely special needs (there's nothing wrong with this!) and needs assistance immediately, the fact she was 15 and met her husband when he was 23 is such a huge red flag. Intervention, adequate evaluation and therapy is definitely needed. I’m not certain it’s acceptable for you or anyone else to call for the revocation of all her adult freedoms, constitutional rights, and financial independence. We are making assumptions of her cognition based on limited exposure. She may have other disabilities that resemble more severe neurological issues based on what little we’ve seen. Her scam is no different then the multiple other celebrity scams including the Elon Musk ones. Both women who fell for Johny Depp claimed they where above average intelligence (lol) but people didn’t call for those women to be locked up in assisted living or under a conservatorship. If the assumptions are true about her cognitive capacity then her son’s disconnection is troublesome regardless of the ID. If she has a know cognitive impairment and he just dipped without getting her adequate assistance, his actions are far more egregious than any of hers. The scammer likely had no indication of any such disability. It’s irrelevant as others clearly fall on a regular basis for the same well rehearsed skit. Thousands of Americans every single day willingly hand over their personal info including that of their families to a myriad of online and tele-scams. Although there’s seemingly obvious indicators of impairment it’s ignorant and inappropriate for any of us to make assumptions on her aptitude or level of needs based on what we’ve been shown. She may only be slightly more vulnerable then the other victims and baby boomers we regular see. On average most Americans think they are above average in intelligence. This a result of Dunning Kruger. Something your probably a victim of yourself to some degree. In fact calling for “ adult services” to intervene in her life is strong indicator of this. The fact that so many agreed further substantiates my position about average American cognition and rationale. You (all) should really be more conservative with those judgmental insinuations when your evaluating someone’s behavior without adequate information, comprehension of cognitive or mental health issues and expertise on the issue of scams and the corresponding victims. You should probably be slightly ashamed of your comment but that stems back (in a sense) to the Dunning Kruger effect and perception bias agin. I agree that the the age gap and age of conception are concerning and often attributed to the abuse or manipulation of people suffering from disabilities. But this age issue is also far more common for people of average IQ then you likely realize. So did an auntie and others in her family. He did try to get her help. She refused to listen to him or anyone else in the family who were telling her the truth. She took her sons identification and gave it to the scammers! That is a huge issue which will now be a hassle on him for the future as his ID security is now compromised. He was completely in the right to cut off from her after this and after she refused to listen to his pleas. This is similar to someone with any other addiction and who refuses to get help.

An advocate for disabled adults needs to take prosecution for this crime to another level. She doesn't have the capacity to understand what happened here.
The problem is she would insist she doesn’t need an advocate and isn’t disabled. There’s a grey area between people with standard cognitive abilities and people who know they need help. The people in that grey area do things like this repeatedly; don’t learn from them, and insist they can be independent and make all their own decisions because they don’t have any problems.

I have to admit, I laughed at her uncontrollably until she showed her heart in her message to her Son. And then, I cried for her. I hope he can forgive her enough to give her a chance. It may take time. I have a very broken relationship with my own mother. But, once I came to the realization that she is incapable of being who I want and need her to be, I accepted our relationship for what it is. I attempt to move past all of the hurt she has caused me in an effort for healing for the both of us.

I suspect that this is a long line of impulsive, poorly considered decisions that this woman has made and her son (realising that she will no doubt do it again even if he were able to resolve this situation) has finally decided to step away from her and the chaos. She's vulnerable, and that probably evokes sympathy from other people who dont know her, but im certain that it creates a feel deep disappointment and exhaustion in her son. The only blessing from this situation is that he stepped away, the other is that at least she knows the truth.
You're assuming he just handed it to her. She could've gone in to his wallet while he slept or showered and taken a quick photo of it and then put it back. Or he could've just passed it out of trust for his mother and not knowing what the reason was. In any case, once he found out what she had done, he sat her down and told her it was all a scam and so did others in the family. Yet she refused to listen to him or the others. She's addicted to the fantasy.

She will not pass the exam for a CDL. She’s being scammed by this company also. They’re allowing her to think she’ll be able to obtain her license, but in all probability she won’t be able to drive any trucks. My son drives for a major hauling company and he sees some really treacherous highways. She would need to prove she’s able to drive in all types of weather and conditions. She doesn’t seem to be a real quick driver with outstanding skills.

Although these are called ‘romance scams’ it’s not all about the love. So many of these targets are also keen for the promise of wealth and financial gain. I’m guessing that’s why scammers send pictures of their fake bank accounts, promise big houses, promise first class travel (all whilst asking for vouchers!).

That kid did the right thing and has likely gone thru hell his entire life. Because even as a child he's been able to see things were a scam long before his mother did or even would today. Then she sent his ID which means he'll have a mess to deal with. This woman reeks of the type I've seen before, she sent $24k to a scammer and where do people think she got that money? These types end up drawing disability and therefore she got a check for herself and one for her son and she's used that on scams. She's also likely gotten strong medicine from a doctor that's sought after on the street and sold it for extra money which in turn was sent to this scammer. She needs placed in a home, the kid needs to stay away from her and I hope his ID gets sorted out because none of this was ever any of his fault and the mother likely owes him or whoever is caring for him the money the taxpayers gave her to take care of him that she in turn never used for him but used for a scammer. She fell for the scam that is the in your face screams SCAM one where someone claims to be head of social media. If you fall for that scam then you're not able to take care of yourself or be over any money. Put her in a home where they can watch her and take away her internet or this will happen over and over and over again with her.

The scammer will set up another profile as a totally different persona and contact her. He will say all the right things when she tells him she was scammed. That’s how these scammers operate.

She wanted to meet Mark to deceive her son into thinking that any part of this scam was legit, manipulate him and lie to him. And when she couldn't do that, then she's willing to say she's wrong and beg his forgiveness. This is only a flavor of what kind of sick sh*t she's put him through. Her son is smart to cut contact, and I would imagine it's for many reasons, not only this situation. Good for him for standing up for himself and creating that boundary.
Yes, it demonstrates a manipulation and dishonesty that's pretty machiavellian. She was quite happy to watch a marriage implode, one where small children are involved, and know that she was the "other woman". Despite understanding that she is susceptible to delusional behaviour, I find her complicity hard to take.

I grew up with my grandparents who prevented me from having social media at a young age because to them it was "weird" and I would "likely be groomed". Now I'm 30, removed myself from social media because it brings me no happiness, and have to keep an eye on them both who are avid users
I normally don’t feel bad for people that fall for these ridiculous scams but I think she has an intellectual disability and is unable to process the obvious signs in front of her. I hope her son can forgive her and get her off of social media.

I deal with this with a few family members that are similar to her. It’s sad and it’s so hard to continue to explain that they aren’t real and you keep your disability money and take care of yourself. They are very kind generous people but just can’t grasp that person is not real.
If you discount this woman's appearance and speech impediment, she's no different to me than any of the other scam victims profiled online. She's not the brightest crayon in the box, but none of them are. Vanity, gullibility, and greed underlie all of their stories.
Normally I'd make a snarky comment about how delusional this woman is; however, my heart really goes out to her; she certainly has some sort of mental health issues; and honestly the message to her son broke my heart.
Folks, what we’re hearing with her speech probably isn’t related to intellectual capacity. While she’s definitely naive, & arguably foolish for falling for this scam, the speech issues don’t reflect lower IQ than anyone else who falls for scams on this channel. Please let’s keep this in mind, because there are millions of patients who speak like this because they’re hearing-impaired, have a speech impediment or suffer a stroke.

I agree, I’ve been watching these videos quite awhile and they are head scratchers, but this one absolutely floored me. The way the team reached out to her and gently explained things to her brought a little bit of faith in humanity. Keep up the great job you guys! People who get scammed are unusually obsessed with the rich, famous and powerful, and they suffer from low self-esteem, inferiority, and they keep on giving for fake people. The mainstream media and the governments are doing nothing to educate people about scammers, and therefore scamming people has become a full time job for some scammers and also for some scambaiters as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the vulnerable state she's clearly been in, evidenced by how she met her husband when she was 15 and he was 23. She's a perfect example of why it's hard to recognize when someone's maturity and judgment are stunted. It's still so messed up that she did this to her son's identity, she's definitely not absolved. It's just really sad. I hope she's able to start growing again and rebuild real relationships, because it feels like she's just never been in control of her own life. I also hope her son can move forward, even if that means he can't have a relationship with her.

Some witty folk in previous Scamfish videos comments section have said ‘Look in the mirror…..why would Jonny Depp want to date a 60 yr old granny?” Yet the USA is the country that constantly peddles and promotes the fantasy ‘You can be anything you want to be, do anything you want to do and think yourself as gorgeous as a young Hollywood starlet ‘ This has to be the saddest Scamfish I’ve seen so far and I am touched by the sensitivity shown by the team….they may lose privately lose patience, but they never publicly mock the afflicted as entertainment.

After all the explanation from the team. You could see the details went over her head. But she did get the point she was scammed, yet still thinking MZ was a factor. I had a patient in the hospital last year who was blind and to boot had very poor hearing and she told me she was recently scammed out of 43k!!! My heart broke into a million pieces… her scammer found her via CNIB! It’s bad enough they troll every dating site and SM but a site for the visually and hearing impaired ?!?! Their is no where safe on the internet… no where. To troll our disabled community is beyond despicable and depressing and I’m so sad that she and millions of this community aren’t better protected. This is one of the saddest romance scam stories I have come across on Catfished. Perhaps the saddest. The lady is quite simply not mature enough to handle something like this and will most likely fall for another scam quite soon. For her sake I dearly hope she manages to mend her relationship with her son
Having seen this for the first time today, this woman is broken and could take years to mend, She is heartbroken and desperately wants her son , nothing else matters. Yes she's been duped but again she is broken. I wonder if peoples comments would change if she takes her own life after this ? Now the therapy starts and I hope she heals over time. I don't normally comment but this has got to me and if she is looking at this , I am a very good listener and don't hesitate to reply. It feels right to me, instead of coddling people along, calling it a "relationship." But probably no one would sign up to be taped if they knew they'd be in for a rude awakening. However, it's like Cher's sap in Moonstruck--"Snap out of it!" It feels satisfying.
Not once could she say the words "I'm sorry" to her son. The closest she got was "please forgive mom," "You and your aunt were right," and "I want to make amends." She owes him a huge apology for giving his personal info away like that and choosing "Mark" over him. So many people in her own family told her it was a scam BEFORE these guys even got there and she refused to listen or maybe couldn't understand. I wouldn't be surprised if she goes back to her scammer if her son continues to have no contact with her. It's just a horribly depressing situation all around because she's likely disabled and has repeatedly been taken advantage of (first her predator of a husband and now this scammer) to her and others detriment. I hope she has other people in her life to support her going forward.

There are so many parents out there who say ridiculous things like this woman did. They talk about how they gave birth to their child, fed them, clothed them, housed them etc as though what they were doing was somehow an amazing thing and that their child should be eternally grateful. Obviously I am grateful to my parents for doing all that and I’m sure my kids are to me. However, those are just the bare minimum requirements when you CHOOSE to have children. The kids didn’t ask to be born, that was their parents choice and so of course they clothed and fed them etc, doing so just makes you a normal parent. Not doing so means you’re a bad/neglectful parent and to be an amazing parent requires more than that.

I agree, I’ve said this with some of the other people duped by scammers. There appears to be some cognitive issues. After being a teacher, I met with many parents who were learning disabled. Some diagnosed too late in their school years, then was dealing with the shock of finding this out too late. Then having kids who might also be learning disabled. So sad.
All you got to do is throw out a stolen photo and it is amazing how many people fall for it.

I worked in mental health and disability services for some time and I really feel that adult protective services needs to get involved here. Carrie definitely seems like she has some intellectual challenges, she is very naive and very vulnerable and this WILL happen again. I have seen it before, many times, with the people I worked with because they are so vulnerable to these predatory scammers!

I work with someone who looks, talks and acts just like her and he does in fact have autism or for lack of a better word, he’s slow.
The thought of this lady driving large trucks on an open road terrifies me! Mark wants to be his step father!!???? So sad.
My youngest son drives big trucks and it takes a lot of work and patience to obtain the CDL’s. I can’t imagine this lady passing the exam and getting out on the highway. If she does, I’m not driving on the highway again.

She's special needs and there should really be a fresh assessment regarding her ability to manage her own finances. It doesn't look like she's competent enough to live fully independently, and she probably needs some sort of 'helper' with daily life as well. A 23 year old already predated on her at age 15? Someone this vulnerable should not be abandoned and left to their own devices. She'll end up homeless if she's not given care.
I absolutely agree. I worked with developmentally disabled adults. I had so many questions about her childhood when she should have been assessed and how she married so early.
I agree there appears to be mild intellectual difficulties there. These are the kind of people who - as you say - can live independently - but there’s no reasoning there when this kind of thing happens. I have a friend who is similar and can drive etc but would totally fall for this scam too. She has no one except her friends keeping an eye on her as social services won’t help. We’ve had to guide her regarding other matters, as she’s so gullible. It’s just sad.

They will help her to find and set up an appointment for a cognitive evaluation.
The assistance is free or low cost.
Without professional help life will only continue to get worse.
If she takes the first step, reaches out, receives the help she needs, she may be able to rebuild a relationship with her son.
I truly hope she recognizes her need for daily or frequent assistance and follows the free paths available to get it.

I’ve been saying the same thing, when I was on match I kept getting bizarre vague messages like “how is your night?” I would say something specific, then scammer would respond “hi! Are you having a good evening “ I quickly discovered it was an AI scam bot, then I would just mess with it. But as bad as they are (now at least) I guarantee ppl are still falling for it like crazy

This woman is definitely special needs (there's nothing wrong with this!) and needs assistance immediately, the fact she was 15 and met her husband when he was 23 is such a huge red flag. She was taken advantage of at such a young age and yet the rest of the episode speaks for itself. Adults services needs to get involved ASAP to give at LEAST assistance on her finances or even assisted living accommodations
Intervention, adequate evaluation and therapy is definitely needed. I’m not certain it’s acceptable for you or anyone else to call for the revocation of all her adult freedoms, constitutional rights, and financial independence. We are making assumptions of her cognition based on limited exposure. She may have other disabilities that resemble more severe neurological issues based on what little we’ve seen. Her scam is no different then the multiple other celebrity scams including the Elon Musk ones. Both women who fell for Johny Depp claimed they where above average intelligence (lol) but people didn’t call for those women to be locked up in assisted living or under a conservatorship. If the assumptions are true about her cognitive capacity then her son’s disconnection is troublesome regardless of the ID. If she has a know cognitive impairment and he just dipped without getting her adequate assistance, his actions are far more egregious than any of hers. The scammer likely had no indication of any such disability. It’s irrelevant as others clearly fall on a regular basis for the same well rehearsed skit. Thousands of Americans every single day willingly hand over their personal info including that of their families to a myriad of online and tele-scams.
Although there’s seemingly obvious indicators of impairment it’s ignorant and inappropriate for any of us to make assumptions on her aptitude or level of needs based on what we’ve been shown. She may only be slightly more vulnerable then the other victims and baby boomers we regular see. On average most Americans think they are above average in intelligence. This a result of Dunning Kruger. Something your probably a victim of yourself to some degree. In fact calling for “ adult services” to intervene in her life is strong indicator of this. The fact that so many agreed further substantiates my position about average American cognition and rationale. You (all) should really be more conservative with those judgmental insinuations when your evaluating someone’s behavior without adequate information, comprehension of cognitive or mental health issues and expertise on the issue of scams and the corresponding victims. You should probably be slightly ashamed of your comment but that stems back (in a sense) to the Dunning Kruger effect and perception bias agin. I agree that the the age gap and age of conception are concerning and often attributed to the abuse or manipulation of people suffering from disabilities. But this age issue is also far more common for people of average IQ then you likely realize. So did an auntie and others in her family. He did try to get her help. She refused to listen to him or anyone else in the family who were telling her the truth. She took her sons identification and gave it to the scammers! That is a huge issue which will now be a hassle on him for the future as his ID security is now compromised. He was completely in the right to cut off from her after this and after she refused to listen to his pleas. This is similar to someone with any other addiction and who refuses to get help.

That kid did the right thing and has likely gone thru hell his entire life. Because even as a child he's been able to see things were a scam long before his mother did or even would today. Then she sent his ID which means he'll have a mess to deal with. This woman reeks of the type I've seen before, she sent $24k to a scammer and where do people think she got that money? These types end up drawing disability and therefore she got a check for herself and one for her son and she's used that on scams. She's also likely gotten strong medicine from a doctor that's sought after on the street and sold it for extra money which in turn was sent to this scammer. She needs placed in a home, the kid needs to stay away from her and I hope his ID gets sorted out because none of this was ever any of his fault and the mother likely owes him or whoever is caring for him the money the taxpayers gave her to take care of him that she in turn never used for him but used for a scammer.

@@SunshineBear17 The rest of the victims knew deep down, but Carrie came off like she truly believed that she was conversing with MZ. It makes you feel bad for her. I had a roommate like Carrie, and I went through a slew of emotions dealing with her because on one hand you don’t want to hurt their feelings, but by not saying anything you’re watching them repeatedly make the same mistake and get hurt. It’s a tough situation.

I really hope she gets help/aftercare she's the perfect candidate to continue to fall for these scams over and over and over. And I don't blame the son for being done I'd also be done. Thankfully I've done the work to keep my parents safe online and away from this crap. No social media for any of them.
Well not using social media or banning it from the ones you love is not the answer either. Teaching and preparing those that may not be aware of what happens among the netizens is a better route imo.

It's mad how social media has come full circle for who is most vulnerable to it. I grew up with my grandparents who prevented me from having social media at a young age because to them it was "weird" and I would "likely be groomed". Now I'm 30, removed myself from social media because it brings me no happiness, and have to keep an eye on them both who are avid users

I deal with this with a few family members that are similar to her. It’s sad and it’s so hard to continue to explain that they aren’t real and you keep your disability money and take care of yourself. They are very kind generous people but just can’t grasp that person is not real.

Folks, what we’re hearing with her speech probably isn’t related to intellectual capacity. While she’s definitely naive, & arguably foolish for falling for this scam, the speech issues don’t reflect lower IQ than anyone else who falls for scams on this channel. Please let’s keep this in mind, because there are millions of patients who speak like this because they’re hearing-impaired, have a speech impediment or suffer a stroke.

I agree, I’ve been watching these videos quite awhile and they are head scratchers, but this one absolutely floored me. The way the team reached out to her and gently explained things to her brought a little bit of faith in humanity. Keep up the great job you guys! People who get scammed are unusually obsessed with the rich, famous and powerful, and they suffer from low self-esteem, inferiority, and they keep on giving for fake people. The mainstream media and the governments are doing nothing to educate people about scammers, and therefore scamming people has become a full time job for some scammers and also for some scambaiters as well. TH-cam and some scambaiters do not want us to mention the carelessness and the stupidity of the scammed people as if hiding the sun with a sieve will make it disappear.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the vulnerable state she's clearly been in, evidenced by how she met her husband when she was 15 and he was 23. She's a perfect example of why it's hard to recognize when someone's maturity and judgment are stunted. It's still so messed up that she did this to her son's identity, she's definitely not absolved. It's just really sad. I hope she's able to start growing again and rebuild real relationships, because it feels like she's just never been in control of her own life. I also hope her son can move forward, even if that means he can't have a relationship with her.

Some witty folk in previous Scamfish videos comments section have said ‘Look in the mirror…..why would Jonny Depp want to date a 60 yr old granny?” Yet the USA is the country that constantly peddles and promotes the fantasy ‘You can be anything you want to be, do anything you want to do and think yourself as gorgeous as a young Hollywood starlet ‘ This has to be the saddest Scamfish I’ve seen so far and I am touched by the sensitivity shown by the team….they may lose privately lose patience, but they never publicly mock the afflicted as entertainment.

I had a patient in the hospital last year who was blind and to boot had very poor hearing and she told me she was recently scammed out of 43k!!! My heart broke into a million pieces… her scammer found her via CNIB! It’s bad enough they troll every dating site and SM but a site for the visually and hearing impaired ?!?! Their is no where safe on the internet… no where. To troll our disabled community is beyond despicable and depressing and I’m so sad that she and millions of this community aren’t better protected. This is one of the saddest romance scam stories I have come across on Catfished. Perhaps the saddest. The lady is quite simply not mature enough to handle something like this and will most likely fall for another scam quite soon. For her sake I dearly hope she manages to mend her relationship with her son

Having seen this for the first time today, this woman is broken and could take years to mend, She is heartbroken and desperately wants her son , nothing else matters. Yes she's been duped but again she is broken. I wonder if peoples comments would change if she takes her own life after this ? Now the therapy starts and I hope she heals over time. I don't normally comment but this has got to me and if she is looking at this , I am a very good listener and don't hesitate to reply. I live in the UK 67 years young and to see her heartbroken and and vulnerable just got to me.

This is one of the first one of these videos where I actually see them get frustrated and even mad with someone. And I’m all for it.
It feels right to me, instead of coddling people along, calling it a "relationship." But probably no one would sign up to be taped if they knew they'd be in for a rude awakening. However, it's like Cher's sap in Moonstruck--"Snap out of it!" It feels satisfying.
Not once could she say the words "I'm sorry" to her son. The closest she got was "please forgive mom," "You and your aunt were right," and "I want to make amends." She owes him a huge apology for giving his personal info away like that and choosing "Mark" over him. So many people in her own family told her it was a scam BEFORE these guys even got there and she refused to listen or maybe couldn't understand. I wouldn't be surprised if she goes back to her scammer if her son continues to have no contact with her. It's just a horribly depressing situation all around because she's likely disabled and has repeatedly been taken advantage of (first her predator of a husband and now this scammer) to her and others detriment. I hope she has other people in her life to support her going forward.
