I'm planning to buy this camera as well and a trip to Italy too hahaha. Did you get any overheat with the camera on this trip? Was it recorded on 8bit or 10bit?

I shot everything in 4K 10bit and just got an overheating warning once while filming a lot of 100fps stuff in the garden while the sun was quite high but it never shut down.

This is amazing, love it! Question about the ND’s, what’s the benefits of having fixed filters (ND 8 + 64) over using an adjustable one? And would you find yourself using them in certain situations? Thanks!

The main reason for me is the price. I also own a polar pro var nd, but its 82mm and sometimes its not strong enough on sunny days so when I bought the Sigma 18-50 I just bough some fixed ND Filters. And often times the cheaper var NDs arent the best, especially if you use a stronger setting. So it works for me like this but if you want a good alternative, I can also recomment the magnetic NDs by NEEWER, these are much more easy to change and the magnet is strong enough for everyday use :)

Just wondering bro but how do you feel about the two sigma lenses? When do you decide when to use the 10-18 and when to switch to the 18-50?

I like them a lot! Especially because they are so small. But I have to say, that I am using the 18-50 for like 80% of the time when I am walking around and exploring new areas. The 10-18 comes in handy, if I explore nice buildings or architecture like in Pisa or I just want a wider look but the 18-50 is much more versitile for the way I use my camera :) What about you?

Is this done in manual mode?
Also do you try to keep your iso to 800 or auto?

thank you! I always keep my camera in manual mode so the exposure won't change all of a sudden. And I mostly stick to iso 800 when filming in SLOG3 :)

That’s what I’m experimenting with. I’m no expert and recently really getting my hands wet with it.
I try to keep it at 800 and use the meter and other methods for consistency.
Problem is my color grading, I have CapCut only lol.
I should maybe get DaVinci and call it a day.
@@Antonio.Estrada Davinci is so great, you can already do a lot with the free version and you only have to pay once for the full version and I can tell you, its worth every penny! The way you can manipulate the colors is so fun and there are tons of great tutorials out there so I would highly recommend taking a closer look at Davinci! :)

I love your style of video, I have an a6700 as well and was wondering if you’d recommend that sigma 10-18 over the new Sony 15mm 1.4

It depends on you style of shooting and the usecases you have for the lens. I prefer zoom lenses for most of my stuff, so I went for the 10-18 and I like that lens a lot! Also f2.8 is more than enough for me. But If you really want/need that 1.4 because you do portrait stuff or a lot of low light stuff, you might want to go for the 15mm 1.4 :)

Wie hast du deine Videos aufgenommen? Mit SLog und hast du LUTs verwendet? Sieht nämlich richtig gut aus und möchte demnächst auch mit Color Grading rumspielen!
Danke! Bei diesem Video hab ich das Cineprint16 Powergrade von Tom Bolles benutzt, das kann ich sehr empfehlen :) Das ist allerdings nur für Davinci, aber wenn du wirklich mit Color Grading rumprobieren willst dann kann ich dir Davinci sehr ans Herz legen! Und ich hab meine Videos teilweise in SLOG und teilweise in S-Cinetone aufgenommen, geht beides gut :)

When you use ND filters like ND8 and ND64, does it cover all highlight scenarios? I intend to buy some but I doubt if a variable one is a better option to cover all the supposed cases, but I also know that they are of worse quality, I am also worried about how practical it is to constantly change between one and the other. And can you put the Black Diffusion filter on top of the ND or do you use it separately? I would love to know your opinion on this.
It covers most of the stuff I am doing but when the sun is pretty bright and you want to shoot in f1.8 or smth like that, the ND64 wont be strong enough. From my experience the var NDs are often not strong enough for sunny days, without getting some strong vignetting or other effects. So i prefer the fixed NDs and then I just adjust my aputure and iso a bit. But another good alternative are the magnetic NDs by NEEWER, they are easy to swap and the magnet is strong enough for everyday use. And I always put my Black Diffusion filter on first, so I can swap the NDs without having to swap the diffusion filter as well :)

Can we shoot wedding photography and videos on the a6700????
If you dont want to let the Camera record for the whole duration of the wedding, then I see no problem with it 👌🏼

If size doesnt matter to you go for it! But I prefer the small/ light weight Sigma 18-50 for all my personal stuff :)

I have never tryed it myself, but a friend of me is using it all the time and seems pretty happy with it! I prefer the 18-50 for all my personal stuff because it's much smaller and lighter. But if you are doing a lot of professional work and the size doesn't matter, the Tamron seems like a great choice!
