Another 1980 episode (299N) was also made available. (Hint: It may not had any fur coats on display, but sure had leather jackets and accessories.)

The Monte Carlo was a nice looking car. I remember my boyfriend let me drive his brand new 1974 Monte Carlo to go shopping. He told me "Don't come back if you have an accident."

That's so amazing that she won $28k in 1978.
The biggest winner of The 70s nighttime version of The Price is Right was from the following season (79/80), And that contestant won $35,142 in prizes.

Of course, syndicated episodes from 1974 to 1986 have no double showcase win rule, unlike daytime.
From 1977 to 1980, any contestant who bids right on the nose in item up for bids won $100. It was $500 in 1985-86.

Both made a pitchfilm prior to TPIR's second coming existence and they played a mock version of what would become "The Grocery Game" which borrowed elements from another game show, "Let's Make A Deal". Also in the pitchfilm is Dennis James himself hosting the daytime version of LMAD while Monty Hall was on vacation (that episode along with all others featuring James has never reran in any case due to the low monetary offerings on the Big Deal which were between $1500 - $5000 at the time).
