It’s not about anybody trying to bash him.This just wasn’t a very accurate representation of what would actually happen. Those mustangs need to be driven properly to have a chance. Taking that long to shift drops his rpms way too much.
Question...you say tuned. Explain? Do you have more hp and torque compared to stock? If so, how much more power?

@Bryce Czirr true, and this guy sucks so bad at shifting I beat a mustang ecoboost would have beaten him.
I definitely cut him a lot of slack. The MT82 can be finicky and trying to outperform your shifting threshold in a car like this could lead to catastrophic results. It's best to take it as easy as possible until you have the confidence level to do so.
That Mustang owner seems like a cool guy. That's a lot of horsepower for anyone who is new to a manual transmission. He did his best.
I learned In my buddies supercharged 5.0 and now I have a 14 wrx. Not gonna lie this may sound weird but the wrx was harder to get used to.
Stang owner is hella cool. Definitely should rerun him when he gets more hang of shifting faster.

With equal drivers, the GT would've been faster than the Type R. Just look how it pulled away instantly...a decent shift would've kept that momentum going.

@@jonathanjimenez8130 Thats the consistent Torque of a V8 which the Type R lacks coz of the turbo lag but I'm sure even if the guy in the mustang could shift faster still the gap would have not increased it's just that the mustang would have kept the lead though

VENOM 9002 the gen 3 coyote motor is not a torque monster. 7500 rpm redline. Have a 19 gt pp1 with a10 trans. I beat civic type r from dig to high speed. Auto cross, civic type r beats me out if with a good driver. I beat more cars with my old Miata in autocross so drivers matter more than the car in that arena.
Learning how to shift. Obviously. Hey, not a down on Mo. Gotta learn. He learns how to shift in under a second and that mustang will be right next to you. Good clean fun guys!

There are people that talk about the hayday of muscle cars were the 60's/70's. At 71 I certainly can remember those days. Had a few pretty fast cars back then (the older I get the faster my cars were). From watching this video it seems that passion for speed is alive and well. From the "not dead yet desk", I own a '05 WRX hatch and a '91 NSX. Really enjoyed the interaction between two car guys
Back in the 60s-70s I was about being quick but my father told me it was all about who could leave the longest patch down the street. Hah

Honestly i think the race wasn't really fair cuz that mustang guy was a new shift driver. Imagine racing an experienced shift driver in that beast. All the same respect to you guys. You did amazing.
Good driver in the 5.0 would have taken the civic to Gapplebees
nah a tuned type r will beat a stock 5.0. fbo e85 5.0 is a different story tho. but a fbo upgraded turbo type r will also beat a fbo e85 5.0. literally just depends on the build tho.

This 5.0 against this type R.... that civic would lose with a good driver in the mustang
@@lVlemphiz nah from experience just an intake downpipe and a good tune the type r will pull on a STOCK 5.0 bruh. good driver or not a few bolt ons and a tune on the type r makes anywhere from 360-380whp on 91oct which is around the same stock whp as the 18-20 5.0 but the type r is a few hundred pounds lighter. do the math bro. type r is an engineering miracle especially for its price point. stock turbo Rs are making 430-440whp on e85

Cool Mustang and a cool guy too. Took a lot of guts to buy a manual before learning how to shift one. Like jumping in the deep end of the pool before learning how to swim. He didn't do too bad a job shifting.

Damn modded races like these are pretty cool! I was interested in the stock figures but this kinda thing is interesting! Here i thought i was out of the modding scene but it's nice to sit back and see how it all plays out before deciding what direction to go thanks to channels like this one :D Thanks for sharing!

The driver sucks badly in the mustang. I don't care if it was his first manual car. Learn to drive it before putting it on camera for everyone to see you get gapped.

Great Vid, I ve bee following Moe for awhile as well. I ordered the phearable stage 2 yesterday for my type R. Question, what temps are you getting during daily drive at a light. Mine hits almost 150 (IAT) sometimes, freaks me out. Is that normal?

No disrespect but the guy in the 5.0 needs a driver mod. He held on to the clutch pedal way too long when shifting. It was a good race however I like to see another run from different 5.0.

no hate moe seems like a great guy! but shifting was the difference in the race car pulled out hard in 2nd then fell back on the shifts sadly :( just glad to see him out enjoying the car and hopefully we see another race in the future with him banging gears!

Mans did NOT just admit on camera that he didn't know how to drive stick :P he is way too humble to be a Mustang driver.
As a former S550 GT MT82 owner, there's no way in hell the mustang driver took a hellcat 3/4 times as he suggested, not with those shifts. Mustangs with the A10 can definitely hang with hellcats, but you need some serious driver mods with the crappy MT82. Cool guy though, hopefully he gets those shifts down.
