You can allso take a 3/4 inch diameter hose 2 feet long and attach the one end to your ear and then run the other end along the exhaust and you will imeadiatly hear the leaks while the car idles
Can you use too much air pressure and cause leaks? As I am not sure about this technique. I have throttlebody full injection FiTech with some issues and they want me to check for exhaust leaks that might be affecting the O2 sensor. I just don’t wanna create an exhaust leak with too much air pressure. I was thinking of using my shop vac I’ve seen somebody else do that with a shop vac.
brilliant tip! worked a treat and showed up the multiple holes in the extractors so now i know what im dealing with.thank you!
Glad it helped!
Brilliant idea, I was laughing at first, but I got a lesson, Thank you for the video Im a bit concern of blowing dust to the cylinders...

A Shop Vac would not cause a leak, the pressure is nowhere near what the normal exhaust pressure already is applying to the exhaust system
presumably this would work for motorcycles too?
Cheers from another Disco 2 V8 owner with SAI! Cheers from England!
Cheers!
"Cheers"😂😂😂😂🤡
Super bit of advice!
Hope it helps
Great tip!
Thanks
Would larg exchuast leak can cause misfire?
I wouldn't think so.
Hallo Shiny! Do you had PO420 or PO430 code? Thank you
Not related to this video, but I think I did have them at one point and replaced my O2 sensors to resolve it.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you, nice tip

What if I got dual exhaust?
Do each side separately
Spray it all
Block one of pipes and blow air into another.
I would guess a hair dryer would also work. But your wife would not be too happy if it gets covered with soot
Yes, it probably would.....and I think you are right about her not being thrilled if I did.
Lol do this all the time for tires.never thought of it for exhaust
Easiest way is the smoke test
If you have the equipment.
@@ShinyFastLoud I made a smoke tester out of a paint can
