Was a bit apprehensive initially about your project. But see now how practical & exciting it is. Hope you have many yrs pleasure from it. I'm 78 & been in caravan on seasonal pitch in Peak District for 2yrs with my wife. But she sadly passed away 2yrs ago. So sold caravan and bought a Renault trafic 2019 lwb van & converted it. I'm so enjoying it. The complete freedom it brings. I love doing spontaneous things. Enjoy your vids😊😊😊😊

Becky you have such a great and roomy space, love the roof top tent.When you get the pod for storage, be carful not to put too much weight in it for when you lift up the tent it will be heavy and to lower it, and it will put a lot of tension on the hinges of your tent, when the tent is open on it's angle.

Last night I slept on lumpy ground, having gotten to destination late. Actually, no sleep and 70 mile bike ride back home. I should sleep like a dead person tonight though. Glad you are well🥳
Love the "overlanding" video's. I don't mean to be critical of those who DO have heaps of cash to throw at a vehicle but, let's face it, if you're going to spend £50k (and more) on a 4x4 you SHOULD end up with something impressive. I find it more impressive to see somebody use initiative and imagination, instead of spending a heap of cash, and still end up with something that enables you to do all the things you want to do. Hope you're happy with the roof tent. Personally, I feel like roof tents are one of those things that overlanders can get "brainwashed" into thinking they should have - along with snorkels, winches, lift-kits, bar-work etc. Course, if you genuinely have a NEED for those things, great. Seems like you genuinely prefer sleeping in a tent instead of inside a vehicle so hopefully it'll turn out to be a useful purchase. Don't skimp on the maintenance of the Disco'. They're simple and reliable(ish) vehicles unless they're thrashed or abused but they're all 20 years old, now, so they all need a bit of TLC.

Great video Becky , when you get to do Europe 🌍 definitely visit Lake Annecy, Chamonix is brilliant to, I've converted my Peugeot 208 with a Tentbox Lite and built a kitchen in the boot, with a worktop and kitchen sink plus motorized tap, plus a pull out fridge freezer and 2 x 10 ltr gerry cans with fresh water and the other for waste water 💦, I bought a porch from decathlon that fits on the rear of the car, and I have an awning plus a shower 🚿 which I use a tent pole as my shower curtain rail, I'll get it up on my TH-cam channel soon ... Myself and my girlfriend Julia we are going to France and Switzerland then Italy for 2 weeks in July, then spend the last week at Lake Annecy ... Keep your vids rolling Becky and enjoy life to the fullest ever possible 😎👌🌄
Great videos. I have watched a bunch of them and just followed you. I think it’s great the things you are doing at 21 YO and have already been doing for a couple of years. You are so natural, without BS, very mature, and also quite brave. I’m 73 YO in Vermont USA still riding a bike (that’s how I stumbled on your channel watching biking videos and you LEJOG trip came up). But keep it up and keep the videos coming. Really like your roof top tent, amazing what you can do with a Landie. I wanted a folding camping chair to use on my off road ebike trails. It appears I bought the same design as yours. Now leaving it assembled to help stretch and assist putting the poles into the holders which were a very tight fit. To harden up the soles of your bare feet use surgical spirit an old cure.
That tent will make it so much more comfortable when you set up, especially when its inclement weather. Hoping the summer works out the way you desire. Love the seat covers, they are awesome.. May the camping gods be kind to you this season.
Is that a landrover 2? they can have a problem with head gaskets blowing. Best to check to see if it's been changed in the past. If not, might be worth getting it changed as a precaution.

I think Canada would give you the widest range of options for a unexpected trip. For Alaska and the US I feel you would need to plan more. Then you should head to Finland in Percy and rotate back gradually.
Hi Becky What tools and spares do you carry for Percy. Jump start battery, spare bulbs, filters and belts tyre repair and inflate or rescue inner tube.
Tried the whole bare foot thing to toughen my feet last year, wound up with a wasp in my foot 😂 gave up at that point and the conclusion was shoes are better

Also for a rear table on door I used a camper van sliding table rail and table but without the leg, it suspends on stainless wires that I made to size myself. The table is removable so can be stored when not needed on preventing you closing the door, it takes seconds to attach. Hope this helps 😃
Girl, these leggins are fire! :) You're building a vertical car. You won't be able to park in the parking lots with roof. And it offsets car balance, especially when driving in the mountains.
