When ever you get issues with disc pads Becky, take the wheel off then prise the pads apart, then get some card board or something bendable, bend it over the rota, line up your wheel before you push it back in to the callipers bend some card board only thin stuff, and then slide the rotar back into the caliper allowing the card board to sit between the pads, press the lever a few times and then remove the card board, that usually centre's them, if that fails, undo the bolts allowing the calipers to move, press your levers in for at least 3 to 4 times , hold the lever in, and tighten the bolts, hopefully that should work... Great info and great vid 👍😁
Great tips! I have been doing the one with loosing bolts and re-center. I also get caliper inserts whenever I travel and I need to take out the wheels.
I'm currently rounding up the courage to bikepack by myself this summer and really love encounter videos like this on the internet. Love it, thank you for sharing a bit of your adventure!
You remind me of a lady called Rebecca Stephens that I came across many moons ago when I was doing outdoor activities. Rebecca has written books of her travels and adventure’s that may be interesting reading for you while overnighting on your adventures, if of course you haven’t heard of her. I really enjoy your vids now that I can no longer get out myself. Take care Becky
Hi Becky, I’m a first time watcher of your channel as it just popped up. So glad I decided to watch as you’re an inspiration for us all and a joy to watch. Hope to see more episodes of you on the road. Enjoy yourself 😊
This is the excellent bike camping experience. I had been to Inverness for about 40 years ago when I was 22 years old. Enjoy your excellent bike camping
Great video Becky. What really impresses me is your beautiful smile on your face, even when it’s hard 👌. Waiting for part 2 …….. still waiting 😁….. Take care !!
I found a new project that might interest you. Becky, you smashed it! So positive about everything you do. By the way, I'm currently enjoying the riding experience of the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 eBike. It's amazing how it combines indoor fitness and outdoor exploration seamlessly. The most outstanding feature is that it can be charged indoors! With its powerful motor and puncture-resistant fat tires, conquering terrains becomes a breeze. Plus, the Smart Saddle Detection+ feature keeps me motivated during both indoor and outdoor rides. It's a game-changer in the e-bike industry! Keep up the great work, Becky!
Oh this is a cracker. Yes, this will do me fine, and should keep me inspired and sane whilst I wait out the week before my next adventure. Thanks Becky for this wonderful moment in time!
Becky, thank you so much for this honest and very relatable content! It's so refreshing to see this in the sea of content creators who have to fly far away to do some staged content by bike. ❤
Hey there, Becky! I couldn't agree with you more. It's so uplifting to see content creators like this who keep it real and relatable, instead of staging everything for the sake of views. By the way, have you heard about the ongoing project featuring the freebeat Morph eBike? It's a game-changer! One outstanding feature is its ability to be charged indoors, making it super convenient. Plus, the brushless 750W motor and puncture-resistant fat tires ensure a smooth ride in any terrain. It's definitely worth checking out if you're interested in enhancing your cycling experience. Keep up the great work, Becky!
Thank you for sharing another beautiful adventure, Becky. Take care of yourself sweetheart and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your journey.❤️🌹🌹❤️
Very enjoyable to watch you traverse Scotland. just over 25 years ago my then Mrs rode from Lands End to John O Groats all by herself. But no social media then and only film camera memories for her....
Becky, I liked your time so far in Scotland, I used to follow you for over a year then well I don't know what happened, but I enjoy you and your family of explorers. Waiting for part 2 , Love ya.
Loving your videos. Have been watching since not long after you started TH-cam and how you have come on. Keep up the adventures and allow us to share them.
Wow! Incredible journey. Like the Duracell bunny, you just keep going. Must be hard sometimes when the going is tough to cycle past the camera then have to cycle back to collect it. 🤫🤫
Great video! I'm going bikepacking for the first time around Dartmoor in the spring, I can't wait! I'm slowly getting my kit together and plan on making some frame bags.
Great video again! I had to think of the midges dance you did and was surprised there weren't any on this tour. You're so natural in front of the camera and again it was a joy to accompany you in a way on this tour as well. Well done!
In the Army we spent a lot of time in midge country, covered in so much deet that I remember my rifle melting onto my hand. The secret is Avon's Skin So Soft (if they still make it). No idea what's in it or who found this out, but the midges won't come anywhere near you.
Ive done all that WHW and GGW walking last month(September) in 10 days and was epic! Very sore feet and knee but worth it hahha Met some amazing people on the way. Views were stunning. Weather, quite wild at time especially above Loch Ness.
This type of trip is exactly why I bought an eMTB so I thank you for a glimpse of places that I can plan for trips away next summer from my base in Glasgow. I liked and subscribed.
When off road, I have ditched cleats years ago. I never could clip properly trying to start uphill, they were getting stuffed with dirt and horrible to walk. I just have nice platform BMX pedals and trail shoes with very stiff sole. Lovely video - thank you and have fun!
As usual, I'm enjoying your trip. You are such a brave girl, and so positive about everything...an inspiration. Looking forward to the rest of the trip.
What a great video, just getting into bikepacking so your video was very helpful. I have ditched my clip-in pedals and gone to flat pedals with no change in speed but my feet and ankles are thanking me and only one pair of shoes is nice. Keep up the great work, can't wait for the next episode.
A very good start to your trip Becky even if you had a few difficulties at the beginning. Hope you have decent weather for your trip. Looking forward to seeing your Canadian adventures. Take care, be safe and bike on.
Just watched you do inverness to glasgow, saw you do england to scotland to. You are an incredibly driven young lady. Dont know you but im incredibly proud of you, nothing stops you, absolute credit to your parents. Could watch you do these trecks all the time. Positivity from you is remarkable.you are the female john rambo. Absolute nails you are.
We Love following your epic adventures! GO girl! You inspire so many people to get outdoors and adventure which is part of our true nature! Keep inspiring ❤
Another great clip becky great to see you in my great Country I see youv met the midgies😢 I done a lot of cycling in my younger days I'm 64 now still climbing and walking twice a week I wish you well on your long journey of adventure 🏴🏴
I really enjoy your adventures! I hope you will continue to share them with us. Such beautiful places. They make all sorts of riding cleats that double as normal footwear. The mechanism is inset. Boots, sneakers, etc. I like them because you can walk on any surface without nearly killing yourself. Also they are comfortable.
Could do a full introduction of the gears and the bags of this tour? Love to see how it was determined which to bring and not to bring. The backpack would be a thing trying to avoid cycling, that's why people loves to install two large cycling luggage at theback of the bike
Lovely to see and superb videography, Becky, you're really getting good at this! I haven't ridden a bike in decades, but enjoy your biketouring vids. I'm intrigued by the rise of gravel bikes. What impact/g-force can the wheels and tyres cope with ? Is there any kind of standard rating ? It might be nice to show your stretching routine ? Corrour sounds like a real oasis. ~28°C in Scotland! What sort of temperature is best for biketouring ? I guess wind chill is a big issue ? (Perhaps use questions as ideas for future content, as answering individually is too much?)
Just found your channel Becky, me and my boys have just got back from Scotland...we stayed up at Loch Lomond. I reckon you did very well on that climb if you've been unwell recently.
Hi, not sure if anyone has said. When you take your wheels out for transportation, put a spacer between the pistons that will stop them closing down, when you put your wheels back in flick your brake levers with the bike on it's wheels. Old bike mechanic.
Hi Becky you might want to correct the caption to “Fort Augustus” adding the first “u” around 12:30 mins, but lovely inspirational video as always and I like the honesty about the hard bits !
Loved this vlog Scotland looks beautiful! From the UK also so I definitely need to put Scotland higher up my travel list. I solo travel but solo camping and biking is another level! Big respect for you glad I came across your channel!
Great vlog! Scotland is indeed beautiful. As someone who loves solo travel and outdoor adventures, I can't wait to explore Scotland on my bike. By the way, have you heard about the new freebeat Morph 2-in-1 eBike? It's a revolutionary eBike that offers both indoor and outdoor modes. The best part is, it can be charged when you're using the indoor mode! Definitely a game-changer for solo camping and biking. Keep up the great content! (100 words)
Absolutely unbelievable! I’m watching your video and Brian pops up! I’ve just done the NC500 in a motor home and whilst staying at the Shore Campsite at Achmelvich Beach we bumped into Brian and got talking about bikes! We charged Brian’s battery for his E Bike in our motor home that night!!!
No doubt you will be experiencing plenty of astonishing revelations ! Another awesome video Becky, love the fact you show your struggles as well, very positive throughout. Was in Inverness last week for a flying visit, think I walked past Highland bikes, small shop on the edge of the centre. Look forward to the second episode of this trip.

Becky, hopefully there was a nice cold stream to soak your feet in. You know, cold water therapy which I know you love! Great effort in the heat!

I just stumbled across your channel. You capture your adventure beautifully! Such a stunning and exciting journey! 🚴🏽♀️
Awesome video! Love the bike! I have a Crux.. same color! Safe travels!
Not that this will help now like, but. Push your pistons back with a knife, presuming you have disc brakes. Great vid, feeling inspired now.
Brilliant Beccy.Thank you for sharing your adventures.🏴
3:40 You need to use brake spacers when transporting the bike with the wheels off, as the brake pads get pushed together if not
Yes learned the hard way haha!
Ah becky 🎉 you're such a joy to watch. Thank you for always bringing such honesty and warmth to everything you do. Take care and enjoy Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
Thank you so much Emma! Take care ❤️
Thank you so much Emma! Take care ❤️
Outdoors in the Highlands wilderness Scotland is truly incredible. ❤ Love from the other side of the mountain
Just discovered the channel and thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’m off to watch some more of your stuff 👍🏻

Hi from Chester, Great Barrow to be precise, just about to get back into cycling on my viking touringmasterx 😊xx
Hi, not sure if anyone has said. When you take your wheels out for transportation, put a spacer between the pistons that will stop them closing down, when you put your wheels back in flick your brake levers with the bike on it's wheels. Old bike mechanic.
Midges on the west coast of Scotland are even worse. Lochranza on Arran was midgemageddon. Great video.
You can get disc brake spacers for when you take off your wheels to stop your disk pads from compressing by accident
Love this. Your videos are a great start to my day
Rode this route about 3 weeks ago in a group. The route is pretty extreme in places, big kudos in tackling this on your own!!👍👏
Hi Becky you might want to correct the caption to “Fort Augustus” adding the first “u” around 12:30 mins, but lovely inspirational video as always and I like the honesty about the hard bits !
Never thought of bikepacking, looks fun. thanks for sharing this awesome adventure.

Awesome!!
@@GirlOutdoors it was amazing
great trails but very difficult to climb. It's worth it to see the great places. Thanks for the great video ❤
No doubt you will be experiencing plenty of astonishing revelations ! Did LDN-Paris and back, the avenue verte cycle. 8 days of rain on and off but soon realized my legs and arms are badly burned. amazing
