Welcome to the hobby. I have been building my layout for years. You can see all my mistakes from start to finish. We are all hear but remember it’s your layout your dream!
I recently got back into o scale trains recently myself when I found this set on sale Christmas time. I’m a big Deere fan and 1/16 collector so I thought this would be a nice addition. I have an older 90s Lionel set I haven’t played with in a while and figured it’s worth getting back into. I gotta say theirs a major learning curve going from what is called conventional, to figuring out the new digital systems. I’m really enjoying your videos so far and I find them quite relatable. Also a tip to suggest, Get a lazy Susan to place some track on to rotate display the trains as you talk about them. You could even make it look like a roundhouse turn table in the future.
Johnny Cash was into O gauge, he had a lot of Old Stuff, I personally loved creating horrible railroads by choosing mostly 10+ year old used up to 50+ year old ancient "cupcake" roster, then taking that railroad into my own personal franchise mode and try to build it into a class II or Class III contender by running trains and reparsing them up to my standards.
I love the sound effects and how it talks.. thats so cool!
Great train set, looks like a lot of fun
Pretty impressive set for a starter, I like the caboose.
Good luck with your first train set , the first of many .
