The paint scheme in my personal opinion makes sense. The paint scheme shows the Conrail transitioning to CSX. So that's why the CSX colors are up front since a repaint starts from the front
I’m a fan of both railways. They’re my two fav by far but obviously I’m a little partial to NS and like the way they do their heritage units better. That being said I agree with you on the model thing. It’s different and cool that the first thing you see is the current and then transitions to the past. Kinda symbolic too. Either way it’s very cool.
WOW that is sweet. I ordered the Chessie System Heritage Unit. I will do a video on it. Yours really looks incredible!!! I am still a Conrail fan. Those who dont like Heritage oh well. Yours is sensational looking. I was a little tossed up between the Chessie and the B&O Heritage it was a hard choice.
Ray wow another awsome edition to you collection that csx ES44 the color sceme is amazing you have to vet the base 3 to the extended start sequences and lashing those amazing engines together great video Ray hope to see you at York
That one may have the idle optimizer feature. So if you leave it on the track and engine idle for a certain amount of time the engine sound cuts off. This is normal and Lionel put in this feature to match the prototypical version. So don't panic 😂
Awesome Ray another CSX 👍 beautiful diesel locomotive for sure love the CSX heritage paint scheme I am thinking of buying the CSX c&o loco I got some passenger cars I think will look great together,you need some big blue box cars too go with it great video awesome purchase that thing sounds great 👍
A little advice for future videos. Be careful recording video with copyright music playing in the background. TH-cam can pick it up in the future and ding you for it. Ask me how I know. Nice purchase. I have the Scale Trains HO version on pre-order since it's a modern locomotive.
Great looking engines Ray, both the CSX Conrail Heritage unit AND the Conrail SD50! (I missed the SD50 video, I'll take care of that momentarily!) Anyway, the club had a meeting last nite concerning Heritage units and CSX's decision to do their units the way they do (yellow CSX nose blending to Heritage colors) was for safety reasons. CSX likes that big yellow nose for it's high visibility. Some purists don't like it and would prefer the whole engine done in Heritage style but I look at it this way, CSX didn't have to do it at all so why complain? Anyway, congratulations! tehir unit
Where did you get those sweet CXS coal buckets? I would love to eventually get about 10 of those. I am modeling Midwestern CSX and Union Pacific with old timey PRR. ALso I noticed you have a end of train device on your CSX coal hopper could you do a video on how you got this?

Not a Conrail kind of guy, but that's a good looking engine. Love the Intermodal containers. Those are on my York List.
