I enjoy your videos. Also I have learned a few tricks watching your videos. Old school fiberglass dune buggy 84” wheel base My current sand rail buggy 4 seater 104”
I'm at 110" wheelbase with a rear engine v6/091 long travel a arm sandrail. You will be very nimble. Your ground clearance looks excellent with that trans! Compared to an 091 flipped upside down its not even close
Love it man. Is the little dozer an upcoming video topic? I like how you seem to be into working on anything you can get your hands on. I'm know it's hard to make videos when you have so many different interests. My kind of channel.
Thanks! Yup the dozer is coming up soon probably next week. It will build some great buggy trails but of course its a total basket case and needs tons of work like everything else I buy.
Maybe worth getting a second clutch fork. Depending on its history, they are known to crack at the pivot point in the bell housing when the fork has seen 200k or so of use (ask how I know) Also do you think you'll try putting a front plastic shrowd for the radiator? Kind of like a dirt bike just to reduce the mud clogging fins as it slings off the tires Love the work! Can't wait to see this airborne on the SpankRanch!
I certainly need more radiator surface area so I will be changing that. But as for blocked vision it’s not a problem. I can’t turn my neck that far when harnessed in but if I had a rear view mirror it would be an issue
Bro with your skills you should've ditched that chassis and started fresh. Maybe that can be your next big project? I know there are big gaps on youtube on buggy building material. I'm building my first Ultra 4 clone buggy and its been $hitty trying to find design info
Yeah man I think about that all the time. I hate this chassis. But I guess once everything else is built and I get some miles on this thing I will know what I like and what I don't like so I can build better. Good luck with the ultra 4 that sounds awesome
I'm confused about the angles of the acles coming out of the transmission. I understand the mid engine layout sets the transmission farther back, but you could have made the trailing arms longer to make the angles better.
I explain it in earlier videos. In order to keep the weight distribution and wheelbase where I want it the axles end up like this. That could change in the future however.
I love this buggy series. Whenever I see the notification of a new video, I drop everything I’m doing and watch it. Can’t wait for the test run.
That's what I like to hear! Thanks for the support!
Absolutely loving this series! Just getting started on my buggy build and this is really helping me formulate my plan! Thank you!!!
Letsgoooo!!! Can’t wait to see this thing rip in the mountains once again..thanks for sharing with us mr.spank
Great buggy video’s, keep making them 😀
Loving these videos ! Binge watched the entire series! I’m a Subaru guy and love that you used some suby love on this build!
Love to hear it! Plenty more to come thanks for watching!
That shirt look good on you! Flag to see bush lite is still good for something.

Wow thanks for that info. Guess this thing isn't as short as I thought it would be
I never comment on videos but please keep these going you make great car content man.
I appreciate that!
Enjoying the progress. Thanks for bringing us along!
Its about 14 hours one way for me to come pick up those trailing arms, i guess I'll have to make my own
Nice build!
Thanks!
Love this build bro.
Yay! just returned home and cracked a cold beer
I can not wait to see this thing rip dude!

Very cool. I didn't even know people flip the bus trans. Seems like most stay swing axle when they go mid engine.
@spankranch garage if that throttle pedal isn't working, try a 13-18 Cadillac ATS pedal assembly. Floor hinge mount and more compact
Thats an awesome tip thanks for that!
If you haven’t given the axels and stuff away I’m interested in them. I have an older buggy and need some irs stuff.
Remember, Spank Ranch merch for the $.
I thought those looked like neon rotors

Great point with the clutch fork I remember yours cracking. And yup, i think some rad shrouding will be important in the future
Why not use a valve in ur brake lines to adjust pressure
Turbo doesn’t do you regret having radiator by turbo and intercooler blocking vision?
I certainly need more radiator surface area so I will be changing that. But as for blocked vision it’s not a problem. I can’t turn my neck that far when harnessed in but if I had a rear view mirror it would be an issue
Hey do you still have the old pedal assembly?
I do. Its pretty rough but if you want it you can have it. Its in 18073 PA
I could use the axles and the arms
They are rough but they are yours if you want em. There in 18073 PA
@@spankranchgarage well dang I'm in Florida thank you

BTW, forgot to remind you to be a little careful with the use of that trans word.
Glad your staying with the build man. Been invested since the original engine. Badass buggy! Hope to do something similar soon
You should! Thanks for the comment!
