Thank you for watching! I heard that from 2012 Hyundai has changed the engine design style from timing belt to timing chains, I think for longevity of the engine and to prevent chain snap they are installing only simplex in all engines. So I assume it came to effect on engines manufactured before 2012 also.

I have just compmeted the timing chain i have built the car back up and now its not starting... i have my computer plugged in but cant see any fault codes ahhhhhh.... my timing marks where spot on and everything went smooth... im lost now haha

Did you reconnect the ground cable on engine mount? M6 bolt. 😃

Yeah thats back on .. im thinking the ecu has stop working and not sending the correct information for spark etc.im Awaiting conformation from an auto electrician 😢 very sad times haha

Hello, i have question about variator, did i need set it up some how?? Or just to tighten a screw and set Up Marks ?

Hello, You mean the variable valve timing gear? If so, tighten the screw and it has two timing marks, align them with other gear. Also you can add a new mark on the engine head for reference.

@@MechanicAnoop ok thanks, some cars have them different and you have middle of variator move to some side left/right.. but there IS nothing to do just put it on marks and everything is fine right .
