Hallo I have on Mondeo MK3. 2.0 TDCI fuel rail pressure 35 000 kPa on Idle and black smoke when accelerate from idle. No black smoke in high revs. I have refurbished injectors, replaced EGR, cleaned intake manifold cleaned turbo, replaced MAF and MAP sensors, air and fuel filters. Replaced Engine coolant temperature sensor and both thermostats. No debris in high pressure fuel pump, no error codes. But, no change - still black smoke when accelerate from idle. And no black smoke in high revs. I would like to know, whether black smoke can be caused by Inlet Metering Valve ( fuel pressure regulator ) or Common Rail Sensor. Please your opinion. Thank you.

I have just compmeted the timing chain i have built the car back up and now its not starting... i have my computer plugged in but cant see any fault codes ahhhhhh.... my timing marks where spot on and everything went smooth... im lost now haha

What are you spraying on the casing after you've cleaned it off? And what kind of gasket paste did you use?

I'm having similar problem on 2010 subaru outback mt where feels like the front end is welded diff at slow speeds and locks up around corners... I'm starting to think it's the vc..... I did a clutch on the car and notices cv alxes need to be replaced did that now I'm having this lock up issue😮

Hello Sir, we have a similar problem with our 2005 Mondeo 2.2 TDCi. Engine turned off at low load and refuses to start. Fuel pressure is too high (around 400 Bar) even after replacing fuel pressure regulator (ours seems slightly different, because of facelift). The sealing ring of the fuel pressure was damaged, so we replaced it too. ECU still refuses to start because pressure is too high. Maybe it's a bad injector or cable? High pressure pump is fine, no shavings. Error code P1608 (bad cables?), P2288 (pressure too high) and P2623 (injector control pressure circuit open (also bad cable?). Any advice? Thank you so much.
